Report Thailand Post Suspends US Parcels as Trump Axes Tax Exemption
thailand49 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Think of it like this, the company who up the price wasn't willing to eat some of the tariff 15%? Doing so would cut into their profit they got so use to without any tariff. Any company in my view sock the full tariff is pure greed. -

I heard he has Red Bull contacts!🤔 -
Thanks I'm reading through everything including all your comments. My cousin is staying on Khao Noi so should be an easy visit consultation. I schedule a visit for Dr Santa last year for my son but then they called and said Jomtien didn't have the machine to provide corrective lense number so we end up rescheduling at BPH.

Looking for new place to get Cataract done. Locate in Pattaya would like to stay but will travel to Bangkok if need be. I have RTFF a bit, Health forum all 6 pages but nothing on cataract. My cousin old guy 73 but like 90 I have been managing his care particularly cleaning up his Fentanyl addiction. He is clean for first time but still need medication to control his anxiety which causes him to shake 90% of time now he is good. Last two months we took him to an Optimologist hospital off Sukhumvit to check it was concluded even after another of their doctors second opinion his right eye is dead left eye can be brought back to 80% so last month been do prep, measurements etc . Our biggest concern no one likes their eye being messed with and keeping still is essential so yesterday we double check simple noted again his situation a bit of shaking. For whatever reason Doctor cops an attitude towards the Thai women caregivers and their question and concerns. Dr. Snapped said if you don't want us to do the surgery "don't". I instructed the caregivers we were leaving grab his wheelchair off we went outside nurse said need to wait to pay bill I smiled. So! Looking now for another hospital to do his cataract as noted prefer Pattaya, Sirachi, or Bangkok. Thanks in advance.

This is pure nonsense with all these so call raids and closures over a thousands impossible to believe with the manpower allocation throughout Thailand. This is all made up stuff that is the art of war using words to deceive violators that they are coming so better straighten out. With so many raids has anyone seen one, anyone seem police out aside from photos ops checking helmets. Another there are million tourist coming the next they are whining about them not. One day weed is legal the next it isn't, Anutin gets big brown envelopes, no plan no clue now out of control? 🤑 I don't care for the stuff but in no fear people! Just wait until the casinos come where the survey shows majority want them. -

Report Thailand Tops World in Marital Infidelity Rates: 2024 Study
thailand49 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It is my writing but from yours I believe we are in agreement to the data report about the lack of parenting withing the black communities, I also remember the wonder drug thing that might now of work because of the community that feels rights are being violated? As for Thailand, there is a N reference to those up in Isaan, where in general the factory of working girls come from, I've been in Thailand a long time live a Thai life style and many in general pump them out like a factory all with different fathers, My neighbor across from me the girl I known since sixteen, not 26 has 3 babies all by different guy, guy now isn't a father to any of them. Amazing Thailand! -

Correction " Would " mean WOULDN'T! Got a thumb down " abandonment of Children " Unless data shows I'm wrong! I wonder as to why so many children are with one parent and that is usually the women only the reason the fact line of bar girls, GoGo, etc.. is the reason many come and will continue to come! Take U.S. the data for Black American families is very low for single parents data contributing to why things are the way it is, take Chicago for example! Sad, but that is the reality in general how things are in Thailand. Why the cheating, although laws get tough they take off children or not children. Women always looking for greener grass, they are secondary something better comes along especially a farang! Sorry thumbs down!😂 -

If you want to stay with Bangkok Bank try another branch, each one has their own understanding of the so call rules look at it as what Immigration does all the time. This past two months been dealing with BB in Pattaya for a friend it is like pulling teeth even harder, one said need a residential letter, then week later manager acted as if they never heard of one before, but will do it but need to hold money in a time deposit, Then to another the one that actually got busted for illegally opening account for mainland Chinese as tourist why this all started! Again, even with a residential certificate, refuse the rule as changed even when it hasn't this seem to be the common excuse, since my friend has lots of medical issue said go to doctor get a letter we can open one to use for his medical expenses. So after a week, I was told given a small piece of paper go to this particular bank and give this guy the letter along with a 1000 baht, half hour later account opened, with residential letter, and passport,

Accident British Expat Loses Both Legs in Bangkok Hit-and-Run Tragedy
thailand49 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Nothing personal here but that is the big question for me. Are many of these companies have insurance. In the States companies to operate must there is a provision if not must show a sufficient monetary asset to go self insured. Here I've not but at same time we never rarely hear the end result that victims were compensated. Example, the Black Mountain entertainment warehouse in Sattahip fire where many were burn to death and hurt there were no sign of insurance involvement owner said he would offer 50,000 baht for each death, then the school bus fire which burn alive children the demand was for the government to help compensate. You take companies like all these motorbike deliveries, the pickup trucks with the tin can covers on the back these are all consider sub- contract they aren't covered by these companies. Many of these pickups if they do have insurance that insurance isn't covered for work purposes. I would love to believe they are but I seriously doubt it. -
Accident British Expat Loses Both Legs in Bangkok Hit-and-Run Tragedy
thailand49 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Here in Thai, insuring a car will usual cover whoever you allow to drive. To drive you must have a legal license, not be drunk or impaired, not using the vehicle in a crime or recklessly like a weapon. Insurance full coverage hospital is covered along with death it is usually under bodily injuries. If the policy is in all Thai then go back ask the agent to provide it in English if refuse move on to one that would. -

Accident British Expat Loses Both Legs in Bangkok Hit-and-Run Tragedy

That is possible but that seems to be the case at times like brake failure 🤣 Not when they refer to Lorry not sure the sizes but in States I use to have a A class, with all the trimming that goes with it including training and certification. If you run over something from back yes but not front so the question is where? Since he left the seen it is all on witnesses or CCTV. -

thailand49 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
If it wasn't his fault why run! This is a real good reason why other assume what they are assuming. The fact is since it is reported a Lorry someone saw something in which as always the reporting is never up to par. Being in Bangkok there are lots of CCTV, one can go backwards and forward assumption of travel and have a good % ,of finding something. The question is will the BIB do it. -
