  1. I've lived here(and worked) for 30 years and never known anyone to go to jail for tax evasion.
  2. Say it was a gift, you are allowed 20 million a year to Thai relatives?
  3. Runs in his family, for example, Henry 7th's mother was imgrated when he was 12. Henry 8th etc. His brother was a close friend of Jimmy Saville. Epstein obviously had so dirt on some very influential paedophiles. Has Bill Clinton been interviewed?
  4. I know quite a few Americans and Brits who are worrying about their pensions being taxed, despite their countries having having a tax treaty with Thailand. It's bizarre. Some foreigners here are scared of their own shadow. I tell them just don't tell anyone and never go to the tax office and volunteer your information. This removal of a loophole for wealthy Thais avoiding tax by bringing it into Thailand in a different year to when it was earned is just that... This is Thailand, not North Korea!
  5. Or buy gold with your foreign credit card. I buy gold with my crypto.com card and get 3% cashback but pay 3% in fees to the gold shop.
  6. More online workers will be affected nowadays, like me. I work for a German company. Starting another job with a British company, affiliated with the UK government. Could I pay tax on that in the UK, despite not being a resident there?
  7. Good point. If you never did this, there will be no change for you.
  8. Strange choice of lawyer https://www.livemint.com/news/world/israel-netanyahu-choice-for-genocide-defence-in-icj-alan-dershowitz-accused-of-raping-minor-in-epstein-documents-11704465462928.html
  9. I don't think many do. Some can understand that pressure cookers explode. There are 2 sides to this.
  10. Hi Sheryl, as usual a big thank you. I had no idea Spiriva was a stimulant. I will take it earlier as I sometimes have sleep issues. I had thought it might be weaker by night time if I took in the morning and heard somewhere that most people have breathing attacks at night. Actually, I've never had any 'attacks' since starting the Seratide. I am wondering if 18 mcg is too much as it says on Google that this is the largest amount - not sure if there is a smaller amount. I recently bought an eye massager, maybe I should stop this? Maybe a silly question but .... If spiriva is not a steroid, could I take it every second day or when I felt I needed it?
  11. Anyone disagrees with you and they are branded 'clueless or trolls'. They are not allowed to have an opinion unless they are from the area, or been there. There are not Hamas supporters regularly posting Hamas agenda tenets or figures. You lack integrity as outed recently with you Sumud post. Anyone who is not pro your country is labelled a terrorist supporter,
  12. There's a HUGE difference between supporting Palestine and supporting Hamas. There are no posters here supporting Hamas, but a few supporting Palestine. Please explain why people supporting Palestine are fools.
  13. I don't get an email but it is always on the 15th. KrungThai.
  14. I am Thai(Naturalized) and couldn't get a card, but managed to get them to link my National ID card to show I am covered. I complained to the head office in Bangkok and they said I should get a card and asked me to go back the the Hua HIn office and phone them when I was there so they could speak to the officer. They changed their story and said I couldn't get one because I was a foreigner! What he meant was that the first number on my ID card wasn't the same as natural born Thais. I couldn't be bothered arguing or taking it further although I have a feeling they just don't like giving farang these cards.
  15. I was diagnosed with Asthma a year and a half ago, then Emphysema. I never trusted the original doctor(private hospital, who told me to keep taking Serotide Inhaler 500/50mcg. I tapered down to 125/25 with no issue. I got a second opinion(public hospital) and the doctor confirmed Emphysema and told me that Spiriva 18 mg is better and to take it once every morning, but the pharmacist told me to take it every evening - does it matter? The doc said that there will be no withdrawal from the steroid as it is a spray, withdrawal usually only happens when taken orally - does this sound right? Seemingly only mild, how many years have I got? He said it can't be cured :( Thanks for any info!
  16. How is this different to the Binance I've used for years?
  17. I think you are deliberately trying to hide something here, saying it's an 'Arab concept' and by changing the spelling. 'Sumud' is a multifaceted concept encompassing cultural, social, and political dimensions. It represents the resilience of ONLY the Palestinian people in the face of historical injustices and ongoing challenges posed by occupation and displacement. Tzumud, as you call it, is not that old, with some saying it started after the 6-day war in 1967.
  18. My wife gives some also, but doesn't tell me how much and I am probably better not knowing. A year ago, my FIL died and my MIL law gave us 10 rai of land. This might not have happened if I hadn't paid Sinsod.
  19. Once upon a time in the quaint Scottish village of Drumnadrochit, Ahmed, a Saudi gentleman with a penchant for adventure, found himself head over heels for Fiona, a bonnie Scottish farming lass. Despite their cultural differences, they decided to tie the knot, creating a whirlwind of excitement in the peaceful town. At first, Ahmed's attempts to integrate into the local community were met with amusement. Sporting a kilt and trying his hand at traditional ceilidh dancing, he often ended up tangled in a sea of plaid, much to the villagers' entertainment. However, when it came to embracing the cherished custom of haggis-eating contests at the annual Highland Games, Ahmed drew the line. "Spicy lamb biryani is more to my taste," he declared with a twinkle in his eye, bypassing the Scottish delicacy for a meal of his own choice. The villagers, known for their humor, initially shrugged off Ahmed's eccentricities. Yet, as time passed, his refusal to partake in beloved local traditions began to wear thin on the close-knit community. When Ahmed opted for his daily cup of Arabic coffee over the customary Scottish morning tea, the teapot rebellion began. Gossip spread like wildfire, and soon, the villagers found Ahmed's antics more puzzling than amusing. They started avoiding him at gatherings, and his once-inviting presence became as rare as sunshine in the Highlands. The locals, a tight-knit group with an affinity for camaraderie, couldn't quite comprehend Ahmed's reluctance to fully embrace their way of life. In the end, Ahmed found himself living a solitary existence, surrounded by the echoes of bagpipes and the baa-ing of distant sheep. The village that once welcomed him with open arms now cast him aside, leaving him with no friends, no respect, and a longing for the warmth of community that he had unintentionally pushed away. And so, in Drumnadrochit, Ahmed's story became a cautionary tale: if you find yourself amidst the rolling hills of Scotland, it's best not to scoff at haggis or turn down a dance at the ceilidh, for in the end, the heart of a community beats strongest when all its members dance to the same tune – even if it's accompanied by an occasional bagpipe out of tune.
