  1. Let me put in a way you can easily understand:- When tensions escalate between Israel and Palestine, it often follows a pattern: 1- Israel takes land that Palestinians claim as their own and kills one Palestinian. 2- In response, a Palestinian kills an Israeli. 3- Israel retaliates by killing many more Palestinians, say a thousand and creating an Apartheid system, locking up a thousand Palestinians with no trial. 4- Palestinians, in turn, respond by targeting more Israelis, perhaps a thousand. 5-Israel reacts with even greater force, resulting in the deaths of 50 thousand Palestinians. This tragic cycle of violence perpetuates suffering and destruction on both sides, with each escalation leading to more significant loss of life and further entrenching hostility and resentment. Recognizing this pattern is essential to understanding the urgent need for dialogue, negotiation, and efforts toward a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
  2. While it is commendable to advocate for the principles of truth and justice in international affairs, the assertion that the international community should uphold these ideals without acknowledging the complexities and nuances of such conflicts oversimplifies the situation. Truth and justice can be elusive due to the multiplicity of narratives and perspectives involved. Both sides often present their versions of events, which may differ significantly. Therefore, achieving a consensus on what constitutes truth and justice becomes inherently challenging. The call to resist political agendas and cynical narratives must apply to all parties involved, not selectively. In the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, both sides have been accused of propagating distorted narratives and using political agendas to advance their interests. Holding one side to a higher standard while ignoring the actions of the other undermines the credibility of efforts to promote truth and justice. Framing the issue solely as a matter of truth and justice overlooks the underlying structural injustices and power imbalances that perpetuate the conflict. The Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, settlement expansion, restrictions on movement and access, and disproportionate use of force are among the factors contributing to the ongoing cycle of violence and human rights violations. Addressing these root causes is essential for achieving a just and lasting resolution to the conflict. The assertion that the integrity of the international legal system is threatened by criticisms of Israel's actions overlooks the importance of accountability and adherence to international law. Holding states accountable for violations of human rights and humanitarian law is fundamental to the functioning of the international legal system and the promotion of justice worldwide.
  3. I believe he is Israeli, hence the bias.
  4. I'm getting True internet tomorrow but not sure what packages they offer. Can anyone recommend a good value for money package with maybe TV as well, Premier League Football, Golf etc?
  5. Probably a lot. I played golf recently with 3 guys who all use agents to bypass the requirement to keep funds in the bank. They talked about it as if it was legal to do!
  6. Owning a bar in Pattaya is the worst thing I can think of. Much rather be a beach bum in Australia.
  7. I don't know why I reply to your baiting. I copied nothing and you know it - you could do a search easily.
  8. I estimate there are 300,000 farang that aid and abet these corrupt officers.
  9. Problem is people using agents make it worse for every law-abiding resident.
  10. Antisemitism refers to prejudice, discrimination, or hostility directed against Jewish people as an ethnic, religious, or racial group. Criticism of Israel can be disagreement with its government's policies, its treatment of Palestinians, its settlement expansion in the occupied territories, or its military actions. Many people, including Jews themselves, criticize certain Israeli policies without being motivated by antisemitism. Some here have a persecution complex, a psychological pathology or irrationality regarding these topics, and should not be taken seriously.
  11. Why do you think these Muslims feel that way? Are they antisemetic?
  12. Who has benefitted ? Who has destroyed over 75% of Gazan houses? Who has killed tens of thousands of enemies? It is a coincedence that the most advanced army in the region's defence system didn't work.
  13. Maybe I am a Luddite, maybe the new way will be through the Metaverse. In my experience, working with other alcoholics is what it is all about. I agree that meetings are not essential, working with others is, IMHO. Also, nothing in BB about needing a sponsor. https://anonpress.org/bb/Page_89.htm Practical experience shows that nothing will so much insure immunity from drinking as intensive work with other alcoholics. It works when other activities fail. This is our twelfth suggestion: Carry this message to other alcoholics! You can help when no one else can. You can secure their confidence when others fail. Remember they are very ill. Life will take on new meaning. To watch people recover, to see them help others, to watch loneliness vanish, to see a fellowship grow up about you, to have a host of friends - this is an experience you must not miss. We know you will not want to miss it. Frequent contact with newcomers and with each other is the bright spot of our lives. Difference is, IMHO, isolating is not good for the average alkie.
  14. Are you Israeli? I'm surprised any member here would support the killing of innocent kids so vehemently every day. You really are not making any friends with this continual support of Netanyahu and co.
  15. A few were laughing and don't know that you can't lose in BTC if you wait a couple of years. well done, you are well up
  16. It seems it's what Netanyhu wants and has been doing for the last few months. Many Israelis want peace. Many Palestinians want peace. The main culprits for breaking peace talks are, IMHO:- 1- Israeli settlements in the occupied territories These settlements not only violate international law but also serve as a constant source of tension, eroding trust between parties and impeding meaningful negotiations. 2 - expansion of settlements complicates the prospect of establishing a contiguous Palestinian state, a key component of any viable peace agreement 3- Israeli government policies, including the annexation of disputed territories and the imposition of barriers to Palestinian movement 4- internal divisions in Palestine leadership, conflicting interests, and inconsistency. The Palestinian Authority's insistence on preconditions, such as the halt of Israeli settlements and the recognition of East Jerusalem as the capital of a future Palestinian state. 5- sporadic outbreaks of violence and acts of terrorism perpetrated by extremist factions within Palestinian territories This has been fueling resentment and perpetuating the cycle of conflict.
  17. I never said they can live together.
  18. If one party continues to escalate attrocities there will be none of them left soon. I imagine there are a lot of very angry Gazans.
  19. I don't go to Zoom meetings for a few reasons. Try a real face to face meeting, much better!
  20. I'm looking into getting something similar. I went to a govt. hospital today and they have a very long waiting list for GI. So thinking about private. A govt hospital should be around $150 I think.
  21. So would I. Disengenous how?
  22. Not in the slightest. I like Jews. this vdojust shows the reality of the situation
  23. Clearly. Here's one you might find intersting - an Israeli, with an American accent stealing land from people who have lived there for hundreds of years.
  24. There's many people, actually most people I know who think it is. I think it's unfair trying to lable anyone who is not Pro Zionis a 'river to the sea type'.
