I've had big bikes (Harley, Ducati, Goldwing) & small bikes - I won't ride here....

Driving our straight shot 108/Hang Dong Rd to & from CM.....It amazes me how many vehicles pull out of blind side streets by half a length without stopping/looking to clear traffic to turn & merge... Spatial awareness is not a common thing here.....

Regardless of how proficient we think we are....I use space as a buffer as much as I can....

I had a girl on a motorcy hit the side of my car while I was making a turn....She was actually going faster than the road traffic....

She got scraped up & we took her to a hospital....60baht....

We then met at the police station where it was called 50/50 with each of us paying our own vehicle damages....

There was a processing fee of either 400 or 500 paid to the police after all the paperwork was compiled....

The girl was a student & I believe my wife gave her some baht as she felt sorry for her ....

As a stop gap you might try a 12 volt heater similar to what some campers/truckers use....

I imagine if you start the car & heater & let them both warm up for about 10 minutes you might get a satisfactory result....

While a heater system is not a complex design in theory, if the vehicle isn't pre-wired & pre-plumbed to accept a heater core & duct work, along with controls it can be very involved....

Being from the automotive industry I've seen many like pictured below - and worse...20-30 hours of work....

Frankly, I do not see that level of technicians in TH....

Sketch out your specs & measurements & take it to Baan Tawai.....

Almost any shop that sells furniture has wood shops creating furniture....

Drive the area slowly & completely, watching as you go & you will find some working shops....

There's an Inn/Hotel at the rear street....There is a shop inside the Hotel grounds that the owner had furniture for sale made....The owner is a looker (bonus).....

On the streets off the main road from 108 to Baan Tawai there are shops dotted all around but they are really scattered - but maybe worth the drive....

If the furniture stores are open you might find what you want already built....

If you can draw it, they can make it ...I had some made that only took 2-3 days .....

I have gotten out of binding parking places & also performed some unlikely forest driving situation 180's unblemished....

But - I've never been on a ledge like that....

Some of those Peruvian mountain roads also would require the same type of maneuvering = needing, faith, prayer's, and a parachute....

Once into indian lands it might as well be another planet....

Culturally - They are a law and culture unto themselves, with their own systems of justice & people do disappear....

Outside law enforcement gives the reservations a wide berth.....Everyone enters at their own peril....

Doesn't do anything to enhance this beauty - actually the opposite....

Can't you just get a good used gas scooter for less than that....

The electric ones I've seen used are woefully under powered & under built - can be picked up & carried away easily - a big plastic toy....Good inside a MuBaan but death defying out mixing with regular traffic....

You also have to recognize that once school runs are routine the market, chore runs will start using an unsafe vehicle....

There used to be some Facebook groups....You might try a search there....

The area is sprinkled with fields....You might try dropping in when you see them being used.....

Soon to be regulated, licensed, & harvested by the powers (soon to be corporations) that freed it's use and availability....

That depends on what side of the planet you are ... Oil is reliable with enough reserves for the next half century....

There isn't enough lithium to strip mine & produce the amount of vehicles needed to populate the world + the electricity needed to keep these vehicles on the road will come from coal/oil/natural gas/nuclear....

Lose lose.....

Time for other options to be explored....
