  1. Just replying to your post only...always another side --you don't have a monopoly on thoughts. Secondly I can post when and where I see fit..don't have to ask the Sheriff.
  2. Yes I do, But I feel as a moderator you should really research it for yourself with the relevant Govt Dept so that you can be 100% sure. Of course only a suggestion.
  3. TIN required if you are going to file a tax return. Pink ID does not suffice for that.
  4. Now you are just being stupid Mr Richard.

Probably a bit far to go, but the Rayong/BanPhe area is the home of these...
  6. For example in Pattaya if you park in front of some shops/bars etc and they tell you....'no park here'...and you just lock your car and walk to your destination, probably many times upon return to your car you'll find a flat tire, scratches, broken wipers etc. And sadly no recourse. Just better to find another parking spot.
  7. What you have described is good, BUT if you are going to use your Salary, WP etc (instead of 400k) THEN Immigration also want certain Documents which your Company must provide, to enable your extension using this method.
  8. Rubbish on the retirees part...where do people get these "apparently things".
  9. Why are called beefsteak tomatoes...and what is the difference with other types...thanks.
  10. You have misinterpreted his pricing or not telling the truth. Impossible for a single veneer to be that price or even quoted that price. A price of 7.500 baht is about right for a composite veneer (porcelain 2-3 times that). A very good quality implant with crown would be about 75k.
  11. FYI---there is no root canal removal. A root canal is where the nerve roots are cleaned out and filled with a special solution and sealed, and then a crown is fitted (sometimes with a pin if the tooth strucure is not syfficient).
  12. Duh....You said..."done by my dentist 20 years back"...do you have limited memory
  13. You really believe prices are still the same after 20 years...come on
  14. My first post above also mentions ceramic crown..metal is not used much these days. Ceramic crown at BPH is 16k.
  15. Implant is costly, takes many visits and the time for the implant pin to graft is about 6 months before any crown can be fitted.
  16. In Pattaya (at BPH) a root canal is approx 15,000 baht, a top notch ceramic crown is approx 16,000 baht and maybe 2,000 baht for misc fees/supplies etc. If a pin is needed for the crown then that is approx 4000 baht. So about 4 visits and about 35,000 baht. Hope that helps.
  17. Yes just saw that this morning.
  18. I'm sure many of us resemble that remark. You seem a bit of a prude Mr icp
  19. I know that. You said offshore Thailand banks, which means actual Thai banks located outside of Thailand..so I'm asking which ones are they.
  20. Boney M....one way ticket to the Moon.
  21. Whatever was/or has been in place previously has been superseded by new rules as of yesterday. Whether its all same same will remain to be seen. This excerpt from a major news source . TUESDAY, JANUARY 16, 2024 Thailand's Civil Aviation Authority (CAAT) in introducing new criteria for checking boarding passes and identification at all airports in Thailand, effective today (January 16). The new criteria are designed to improve security and prevent identity theft. Under the new rules, passengers must present a valid passport or other government-issued ID card, and their boarding pass must match the name on their identity card.
  22. Actually this is a new rule for security when departing from an airport. Passport or accepted form of ID must correspond to the name on the Boarding card otherwise the person will not be allowed to board. (But your post is correct in one way, that Airport immigration officers still require your boarding pass when entering).
