Whoa ... that's 40 kms south of us. Was down that way the other day.
Tomorrow MG is going in for a check up, as the doors aren't auto locking once rolling along. Used to self lock at about 15 kph.
Yeah, it is our favorite PTT, it is exactly 100π or 314 km from Bangkok.

I just prefer not to give them money for something that is going to get burned up to nothing, and degrade other parts of the car in the process. Petroleum products/byproducts are an almost necessity in life, unless going Amish, and I wouldn't do that to horses here. Brutally hot, and that would be cruel.
Would be pretty cool though, as I'm almost in a '15 mins city' scenario. Makro is only 3 kms away, 7-11 even closer. Been a few decades since I had access to horses.
The Bimmer will be rolling by Saturday morning so you might wake up to the roaring in-line 6 cylinders.
We will be stopping at this PTT (https://maps.app.goo.gl/7wvDmAo7jiYMJi157) to top up the 750 kWh power pack, offload some vomit and have breakfast at the Black Canyon, if you want to meet the EOW clan.
The vomit is from the two years old, she doesn't yet fully appreciate the smooth Bimmer ride.

Or you could simply remain bias & ignorant, and continue to give your money to the fossil fuel conglomerates .... UP2U
Total respect for the commitment and faith you have in your Chinese "tech".
You should have about 30,000 km on the odometer by now, right?
Most ICEVs will do 100,000 km without much service. Let's see if the MG can make it to the magic 100k mark, if not I can with almost certainty guarantee you that the tow truck that will scoop up the MG will run on that magic jurassic dino juice.

What ... ฿38+/- per liter (91) isn't high enough. Need to go back up to ฿45 for some to open their eyes, and close their wallets to petrol conglomerates.
Cost to go 360 kms with our MG ZSs
EV ... ฿231 if using PEA @ ฿5 per kWh
ICEV ... ฿977 using 91 @ ฿38 per Liter
Driving 20k kms a year
EV ... ฿12,333
ICEV ... ฿54,285
That starts to add up (petrol alone), over 5-10-20 years
Details, details SeñorLA., that first 3 in 12,333 should be an 8.
EV ... 12,833 baht, there, fixed it for you.

Background Article
This Is The Highest Mileage Electric Car In The World
A German man has driven his 2014 Tesla Model S over one million miles across the world.
https://www.topspeed.com/highest-mileage-electric-car-in-the-world/
The Tesla just needs to do another 2,828,032 km to catch up to this Volvo P1800
Here’s A Close Look At Gordon's Volvo P1800 With Three Million Miles
https://www.motor1.com/news/529418/gordon-volvo-p1800-close-look/
The Tesla needed 14 motors and 4 battery packs to complete a million miles.
The MG in the south will need all the luck in the world 🌎 to complete 2,500 battery cycles and close to a million km.

Breaking news! Sales of ICE (Suzuki Ciaz) increased by a staggering 7% in March over February. EVs are no longer saleable as evidenced by BYD’s zero sales during the motor show.
Easy there G-man, have another cup of ☕️ ☕️.

Whoa ... I guess more that a few Thais realize ... "you get what you pay for"
Less than 400k and that's all they can sell
SeñorLA, we know details is not your thing, but the sales numbers are from February and yes they are abysmal. The Ciaz discount started March 1st, so we will have to wait for our DLT expert to get the March registration numbers.

I see the Dept of Land Transport (DLT) has posted March 2024 vehicle "registrations." Registration means the sale has completed the process and vehicle blue book issued. For the RY1 Passenger Cars (7 or less people) the total registrations in Mar 2024 for EV "and" ICEV was 45,315. For Feb 2024 (which was a very weak month) the total RY1 EV "and" ICEV registrations was 47,063.
So, the sales slump for EV/ICEV is continuing....actually got a little worst from Feb I expect folks are burnt-out from their end of 2023 vehicle buying spree and also gun-shy of buying right now due to ongoing cut-throat pricing.
RY1 for Feb 2024
RY1 for Mar 2024
https://web.dlt.go.th/statistics/.
@Pib, since you master the DLT site, can you pull out the Suzuki Ciaz registrations numbers for March?
I am curious to see how effective the 150k discount were.

MG EP
The company has inspected the vehicle. The cause was found to be due to high humidity in the compressor of the air conditioning system, causing the insulation resistance to be lower than standard. In this regard, the company's technical staff has taken action to fix the vehicle to return to normal operation at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, 2024.

All ACs have 100% humidity and condensation.

ok sounds like there is a dispute on this detail. Doesn't really matter now but I'd be curious to know the truth. Why the IMF would have an interest is curious too but maybe they have some liberal humanitarian agenda and they use their funds to influence policy, which seems plausible to me.
It is very much possible that IMF had nothing to do with it and the law was simply just updated at that same time, as a broader modernization. Thailand does evolve after all.
