Are we now feeling the effects of Ukraine's situation in Asia?
ExpatOilWorker replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I think you are right, China play a big part in what is happening in Ukraine right now. Putin and Xi have been in close contact and met in person at the Olympic opening. The potential to have 3 nuclear powers (5 if you include France and the UK) in direct confrontation is real. The Doomsday Clock is 100 seconds to midnight, enjoy every second.- 300 replies

They already have a new law to ensure the 100k cash machine goes on. To protect its coral reefs, Thailand on Tuesday enacted a law prohibiting the use of sunscreens in all national parks. Those who violate the law will face a fine of up to THB100,000 (US$3,022), according to the details published last night in the Royal Gazette. https://coconuts.co/bangkok/news/sunscreen-banned-in-thai-natl-parks-violators-face-thb100000-fine/

Will Western tourists ever go off visiting Thailand?
ExpatOilWorker replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
But for the past 2 years, there have been none. The lower Sukhumvit neighborhood is slowly changing. With building like Q taking over, NEP might one day share the fate of Washington Square and Clinton Plaza. -

Build-in AC discharge duct - material?
ExpatOilWorker replied to ExpatOilWorker's topic in DIY Forum
The future board did the job and it is working and looking great. The AC is similar to the one in the picture, it is just build into a wooden cabinet and I just needed to direct the exit air to the outlet so it doesn't circulate around inside the cabinet. -

Build-in AC discharge duct - material?

I have this old build-in AC which never had a functional discharge duct. I want to make short duct or sock, but what is the best material to use? It has to be airtight, yet still light and flexible to work with. Some kind of nylon? A watertight fabric would work, but a tarp is too thick and heavy and any plastic like material might make a noise if it is flapping with the air movement.
