  1. What exactly do you mean by adding spaces after passport/insurance number to get the green check? Also what browser did you use? I wish more people would list a popular browser that works. So far just about every browser mentioned I never heard of. Safari can work? I guess google chrome doesn't ? I can't believe you have to change or add browsers just to get TP to work! Don't they even suggest which browser to use? Even Hotmail can't work for return email but I guess it's mentioned now on TP. Even that issue seems insane.
  2. I understand that. Why can't EACH state have a QR code? And actually to disagree with you more. This was a world wide countrywide epidemic a lot of BS laws or whatever were started and enforced throughout the country. And yes a QR code for the country could have been started because nothing like this ever happened before. Sorry nothing is really impossible as you say. You may be brainwashed by your state or federal government. I won't be. Cheers
  3. Thanks very much! Everything you typed is helpful. I unfortunately live in Massachusetts and we only had huge venues giving out shots ( at first ) mine was at a convention center in downtown Boston that has been closed down for shots for months. Our lovely governor didn't want small places like pharmacies to give them out. Now we can go everywhere. But what you did was really smart for a hard to read or even in your case a missing middle name and should probably help someone else out!
  4. Thanks a lot for all your info! I will definitely NOT use my hotmail address when I finally choose to apply. I didn't even look at TP yet because I've been hoping all bugs are gone lol! But they have not been. It seems from what you are saying the two first DATES you received shots are imputed by you into Thailand pass. I know ( but can barely read my first date ). The second date was exactly 21 days after the first date and can be read by most people. I'd say virtually no one can read my first shot " batch number " but it seems that MAY not be a problem. It's just the nice USA military guy who gave me my first shot had extremely small handwriting ( but the space is quite small as you know ). I'm in Massachusetts and our lovely Governor will barely even speak about a " passport " or something better to use then just the flimsy card I now have. I just really wished the USA used a QR code from day one. Every single person I encountered before and during the shot process had a lap top that could have been easily set up to print out a QR code and put onto the vaccination card and it was NOT done.
  5. What are you talking about the " correct arrival/ departure date?? You need a pcr test 72 hours or less from your departure time only! Many people who leave the USA in the evening arrive in Thailand TWO days later. Some arrivals are 11:30 pm or just after midnight so the night you book a hotel you may actually arrive at hotel the next day ( after midnight) even. So how does your hotel booking determine this? Any real report you have like many people above or just your "thoughts"? You also assume they are " acutely " aware of all the issues. LMAF dude!
  6. Biden said NO from the very beginning and many governors have said no. I think NO vaccine passport for the USA is very much here to stay. It's also too late to add a QR code to an existing card ( which is all anyone has)
  7. Can you apply 4 weeks before , or more? Also can you elaborate on the sentence " and a Gmail address for the QR code"? I'm surprised no one asked you this. I use Hotmail still ( I've never ever had a problem with it) and I have a yahoo email. How can one email address work and another not work? One last thing. I just got my booster shot of pfizer. I specifically asked the woman to clearly write out the batch number or whatever you call it. I would say my first dose batch number is probably completely unreadable by most people ( but I think I could TELL someone else or text the number that I'm quite sure it is). My second dose is fairly readable. As many know the CDC card in USA is hand written. Even my name and birthdate are not that clear. Many say you have to enter the date of the shots? What if you have had three shots? Does it let you enter three? I just don't know how anyone could know some of these things even if online and trying to do the Thailand Pass. I mean everyone in the world needs a Gmail account to get a Thailand Pass? This has to be an even more insane pass system than anyone could imagine ! Also the clearness of another persons handwriting that can't be read by a different person can prevent you from getting through the up loading process for your CDC card and become a rejection? Can you ever directly email or call them if you get rejected? Thanks if you know any of the answers. But the Gmail part is something everyone should know about.
  8. I saw flights from New York City to BKK from Eva on line last week starting Jan 1 ( so maybe for LA too, but someone else mentioned you can't transit through at Taipei? So not sure how that would work. Also no one has mentioned that EVA has great premium economy class if you don't want to fork over so many $$$.
  9. I've been reporting the 15 day minimum time all week from LA consulate. It was there before in slightly different words. No real change. 15 working days minimum is insane for a 60 day tourist visa. Now you have the honor to contact then after waiting 3 1/2 weeks! I wonder what they do with these requests after waiting so long? Anyone have a real report?
  10. Yes I understand that. I was just comparing 2019 because the volume of visas being given was probably 20x or more the amount that are given now ( and 60 days only ) for tourist visas. I think there are few real reports about the time it takes to get one NOW. Whenever I see a report it is always more that 3 or 4 days. Even the poster above me has been waiting 8 business days and received one lying , ridiculous reply from the London embassy. The visa exempt system should simply be 60 days for all countries already approved for 30 days. It's just too simple for the powers that be to see how ANY tourist easily able to stay 31 to 60 days contributes more to the Thai economy than someone coming for 29 or less days ! A tourist visa taking 8, 9 , 10/15/20 working days is insane! THEN you finally get one and you have the honor to apply for Thailand pass which has already taken MORE than 7 working days from several reports! Wow!
  11. Well it seems that some REAL reports are coming close to what the embassy/consulates websites actual say. Up to 10 working days ( and perhaps more ) and probably 15 or more working days in some instances perhaps Los Angeles. Does anyone else have a real time frame for just a simple 60 day tourist visa? As the poster above me mentioned it's a complete JOKE to think that the embassy in London is telling people in REAL life there are high volumes of people applying for a tourist visa. Complete BS!!
  12. USA ( New York ..Boston ) kind of different countries!. Japan .. Thailand ..USA ..Thailand??
  13. Hmmm I'd really like to get a real report. In 2019 and before never did a consulate say 15 working days even into 2020. I feel this ridiculous minimum 15 working days is quite a recent thing. I understand what you say but it seems like almost no one from the states who supposedly are the most recent visitors to Thailand try to get a 60 day tourist visa. Here is one reason Ubon Joe perhaps. If you are really or " just about" a tourist in Thailand and want to stay say 31 days or 35 or 40 or 50 days. Why even bother with a 60 day tourist visa? MAYBE it could take 15 ( or more ) working days! Let's get REAL reports. I see zero! So just like me and others. Why even bother to come to Thailand for 45 or 50 days and have to apply for a stupid 60 day TV. WE will just come for 30 days! Visa exempt and no hassle to bother with TV. MAYBE extent 30 days but probably many won't. So Thailand wants visitors 30 days or less! So, well, silly! What a consulate website says is what everyone would have to abide by. I don't see how anyone can have a different opinion. How can I find out if "info" is " old " or not?? Your opinion is highly regarded by me and most others. I just can't start a tourist visa without knowing is " 15 or more working days " is even remotely possible to get a simple 60 day visa. Just imagine if the genius's who make decisions said All people who are accepted for 30 day visa exempt are now able to arrive 60 or even ( god forbid ) 90 days visa free stay. Would Thailand ???????? gain a lot of $$/baht by this CRAZY idea? They just go straight to Thailand pass , skip stupid too long to get to short 60 day visa! I guess we could only dream of such a simple way for Thailand to rake in so much money!
  14. What does it say on the website? The Los Angeles consulate page says minimum 15 working days! I asked about any reports on that yesterday but no one commented. I assumed nearly no one would apply considering you may have to wait another 7 or more working days for Thailand pass after getting a tourist visa.
  15. Wow. I'm glad you mentioned this. I thought a ticket with a 90 day return on 60 day visa ( with 30 day extension ) was possible. It's just that short flight throw away tickets are harder to find cheap with such few places to choose from now. The one other thing I was hoping to know is that on the LA Thai consulate website it says a simple 60 day tourist visa takes a minimum of 15 working days!! This seems utterly insane! Then your next step is to apply for Thailand pass which is 7 possible working days to get. It means you have to plan about 6 weeks ahead now! Also for a 90 day visit ( if you are willing to even go through those hoops) would require a 90 day health insurance with covid coverage so people should not try to match up 60 day tourist visa with 60 day health coverage. Can a simple tourist visa actually take a minimum of 15 working days?? Any reports? Minimum 15 what's MAXIMUM lol? Thanks.
  16. You can't buy a ticket to Laos as far as I know now. Border closed
  17. What I saw on the Los Angeles Thai consulate website should make it even more difficult to come. The basic Tourist Visa ( just 60 days) takes "15 working working days" to possibly get. THEN you can apply for Thailand Pass which can take 7 working days ( or it seems longer now) so that means about 6 weeks before arriving you have to plan at bare minimum. That is INSANE! Even the description on how they want you to upload 2 photos is a complete joke.
  18. If you are transiting at Singapore Changi airport do you need a "digital" vaccination card? That would be odd because most countries don't even have them. I did hear about the pcr test 48 hours before departure to SG.
  19. You sound like you know what you are doing. Is this feat possible to do on an iPhone or I pad do you know?
  20. I appreciate some of your responses but Thailand closed down mainly this April big time. It takes time to open. England is not really a stellar example of opening. . You can go on and on and on but by 12/1 and then 1/1/22 more opening will happen in Thailand Why can't you just chill out a few weeks. These threads are getting boring. Same / same !!! Yah know. Now run along and tattle ????
  21. Thank you. They pick the best ones too , closest to pool or Ocean. Leave their " marker" then come back hours later. Sooo polite! NOT.
  22. Give it a break, we all know this. We must move on. You have to move on. The world is moving on. Or stay under your bed.
  23. Your Doctor and maybe you are insane and absolutely wrong to have a colonoscopy every year. Crazy!
