The reverse way you just described always takes longer ( each segment ) flying West coast USA to BKK. There are absolutely no legs under 7 hrs unless you fly through Honolulu and then the entire trip door to door is much longer as you know.
-
You really are not going to get under 7 hrs. Pretty much impossible. Consider business class ( a few mentioned and you didn't respond ) or premium economy on ANA via Tokyo and West coast or Cathay Pacific via HOng Kong and west coast. Premium economy on these flights use a cradle rocket seat ( the person in back of you is not affected when you stretch out or get up, there is a lot of extra leg room , it reclines much farther than economy , had a little more width , on Cathay's A350-900 even the aisle seat side, next to aisle can open OUTWARD so you can get out of seat into aisle super easy. Note that not all legs may be premium economy on all flights but the long sections are for sure. Usually there is a food upgrade too. Round trips about $2300+ one ways $1250+ Kayak.com I find better than sky scanner. You can get from BKK to HKG to LA to Vegas in 21 hours. BKK to Tokyo to San Fran to Vegas 20.5 hours.

You actually changed from too early to waaaayyy too early. Such a great posting improvement. But you forgot your list of dementia Joe 's accomplishments. -
The hotel reservation was not in my name. I just heard reports that Hua Hin at Blueport wasn't asking from other posters. So I just went with that thought. It was true in my case.

Why are fewer Chinese tourists visiting Thailand?

That is crazy stuff. I use Turkish air recently and do a few nights over going and coming. I need a visa for Turkey 🇹🇷 and go on line a week before I leave. It TRULY takes me less than 8 minutes ( I type slow) I pay and get a six month multiple entry visa in less than an hour ( have done it many times) I come to Thailand for five months and can use my same visa on the way back home. I mean this is Turkey!! -

Why are fewer Chinese tourists visiting Thailand?
alex8912 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Don't forget how many people refuse to deal with the silly 60 day tourist visa on line which can still take 14 business days to get and the website asks several questions that make zero sense or need to be answered even if NOT required. The one I did last month had a question asking how many YEARS I wanted the visa for!!?? The only drop down answers were 2, 3 or 4! You HAD to choose one or could not continue. -

I'd say American English. There are different types of French too. I've never met a Brit who could come up with a few NEW English phrases / words / slang that the VAST MAJORITY of fluent English speakers use that originated in England. All new English words/ slang that have been used for decades come from American English/America including Canada of course. This is for better or for worse ( spare me the vid of Black slang lol). I just never wanted to speak the same English as my father or grandfather but some Brits want to speak the same as their grand daddy's!! Oh there is one term that the Brits MAY have invented " Brexit" but I could be wrong on that.
