Okay, I have decided to talk to my boss and take half a day off on Friday and drive straight to Chiang Mai bigwing, my list of problems keep growing. After oiling the chain everything was fine for 2 days or so, now it sounds even worse than it used to, very very noticeable when you drive like old rusty bike. Sound is coming 100% from the right side of rear wheel. In addition to that the hissing sound coming from the front wheel like the brakes are actually engaged or a wheel is rubbing on something. If I press front brake hiss sound becomes even louder.

The best part I started hearing similar sound from rear wheel and upon inspection today I found this:

Worst part? I press rear beake with my foot and brakes don't move at all not even a single mm. Anyone knows why is this happening and what can I do? I need to reach chiang mai in 1 piece, that is why Iam worried. Any info or advice would be appreciated.

Iam going to give them some bollocking at BW when I arrive, if they dont fix everything thats bothering me.

If you are not comfortable riding it to them, you should call and insist that they pick it up for you.

Well they kept changing the date of the release and I was getting impatient. Of course they start releasing them 2 days after I got the Versys. I may still get the F, who knows. Either way, I think the Versys will be better for two up touring.

Does this mean the bike hasn't fully completed it's 'testing'?? I'm sure it has, highly unlikely for Honda to release a bike that hasn't got the seal of approval...

I think it means they won't have any bikes available for test rides during this period, because they will be busy with customers picking up there new bikes.

Tires for what kind of riding?

Some city riding, but mostly touring. No plans to go off-road just yet.

Today I saw a police roadblock in Nonthaburi for the first time in months. I thought they were going to stop me for my LED/zenon lighting set up, but I rode right through.

Anyone else ride the Versys a lot in the city? Seems to do quite well in this video.

i use mine a lot in the city and not many complaints ,its an easy bike to flick from side to side

and the height of it means great visibility and also your mirrors and handlebars are higher than most car mirrors

so its great for filtering

when traffic is ultra tight like around silom ,pratuman or chimatown ,a yamaha elegance is still slightly faster

and more manoeuverable so i just use that in any situations when the roads are jam packed and i still need to get somewhere

I'm about 6' tall. Do you think I'll be able to get both feet completely down when stopped? Picking it up tomorrow, but never actually sat on one. Thanks.

My bike is 2 weeks old and has 670km on the speed so far, it looks a bit loose but not so much pretty much on the same level as it was when I bought it. Should I lube the chain to see if that helps?

There is usually a sticker on the side of the swing arm that notes how much slack the chain needs. Not sure if more lube would help. Best of luck.

Guys I need help/advise. Today I started noticing some weird sound as I drive at the back of the bike behind me. I dont know how to describe it, sounds like a water sprinkler or a chain on a bicycle when you pedaling, you get this weird sound of chain moving on an old bike. The chain seems to be well lubed and I didnt have this yesterday. When the bike is not moving and in neutral the sound is not there, 1st gear nothing, 2nd gear it starts. Listened to the engine on neutral some slightly similar but barely noticeable sound coming from the front of the engine, which Iam not too fussed about but while driving it is at the back.

What can this be? is it the chain? does it needs more lubing or is it the brakes? Tried to listen a bit when driving seems to be coming from right side of the wheel.

P.S Starting to wonder if my luck to get this bike so fast had something to do with it.

The chain may need adjusting. How many kilometers have put on the bike so far?

Tyga performance Bangkok did a dyno test on cbr500 and found out 43.5 hp on rear wheel based on another forum. Not bad man:lol:

And it only gained 1 extra HP and 1 extra foot pound of torque with the aftermarket exhaust. I think they are working to improve it though. I hope the Moriwaki is better, but I can't seem to find any dyno reports for it.

Still not sure about the prices. I'll see if I can find out more later.

It will be released in March, but no price yet.

We will have them for sale at the shop for sure, but I haven't ordered one for myself. I will get an MSX and possibly a Forza though.

We just received our first MSX 125.

Just called Big Wing and was told my F would be ready on the 15th of this month. About time!

My brother-in-law's shop just received an MSX. You should start seeing them in your local dealerships from today onward.
