  1. Still not sure about the prices. I'll see if I can find out more later.

Did you find out when, and how much for the CRF Brian?

It will be released in March, but no price yet.

The Forza will be released in February, but again no price yet.

The MSX 125 will be released this month. The MSRP is 66,000.

  2. Just spoke with some of Honda's R&D team. They said they decided to do the CRF motard because of the suggestions I made to them last year. We spoke and they listened.

Thai's are great like that :)

I suspect this is a response to the D-Tracker, just as the CBR250 was a response to the Ninjette, the Scoopy was a response to the Fino, the MSX125 was a response to the KSR110, the CBR500R was a response to the ER6F, the CB500F was a response to the ER6n, the CB500x was a response to the Versy etc.

I'm not doubting the quality of the bikes, but to be honest I'm starting to wonder if the R&D director at Honda is Chinese....

Looks alot like an early Fino, doesn't it?

  3. Looks Good, the MSX looks like a mini Ducati Monster, fun little bike for nipping around on...

The Motard CRF is a logical step on from the CRF250L and looks OK, and the Forza should do really well if priced around the same price as the Sym 300.

    Any idea on prices Brian?

Still not sure about the prices. I'll see if I can find out more later.

  4. Just recently bought CBR 150 FI.

Anyone knows why, when i start up the bike, there was some sound (like sound of plane engine) from the fuel tank? And It didn't stop, until i turned off the bike.

Probably the radiator fan. Nothing to worry about.

  5. Who knows Derek, just wait until you get here and shop around, your almost asking how long is a piece of string

I am here, and I have shopped around. I'm not asking an impossible question. Simply: "Are 2012 models discounted when 2013 models come out?" I thought maybe some consumers of new bikes might notice if such a trend exists. Sumet Cycle would be the most qualified to answer since he sales bikes.

So, Sumet Cycle (sorry, forgot your name off the top of my head), do dealers discount last year's models when this year's come out?

I guess it would depend on the particular model and how much stock was left over. There is no standard rule for lowering the price on previous year's models though.

  6. Rumour has it Honda will be announcing a few new models for Thailand next week. Probably the Forza and maybe the Airblade 125i. These are just rumours mind. Haven`t heard anything about updates to the Wave though.

Yes, there is a dealers' meeting on Wednesday. There will be some new models released. I post more info about the bikes as soon as I know more.

  7. AFR is the most important graph to have, please make sure it's right before you give the bike any beans with its new tune.

I of course lost the warranty on the engine, but Big Wing assured me that everything was fine with the bike and the mods I made. I've put a few thousand trouble free kilometers since I have made all the mods. I even rode from Hat Yai to Kuala Lumpur and back without any problems. However, I am still very curious to see the AFR graph. Thanks for the advice.

I'm not sure where the jap spec restriction starts RPM wise but my guess its not until around 9k, so just highway riding wouldn't hurt too much if you're running lean above that RPM. But if you we're constantly racing around and redlining then I see an issue. Unless your aftermarket power up kit has fuel adjustment I'm not sure how BigWing would adjust the fuel. Stock ECU is not adjustable unless u reflash.

The power up kit having a fuel adjustment makes sense. So when you put it on the power up kit it is telling the bike to do something that the restricted ECU was not programmed to do, hence the engine warning light. I remember that the error code they got when I went to Big Wing was related to the fuel map. Perhaps they just bypassed this particular warning somehow to get rid of the warning light. When I first got the bike, I was afraid to go anywhere 9,000 RPM. Now that I have more confidence, I have been getting it up to redline from time to time. I am kind of worried though, and will run this all by the mechanics when I go to Big Wing next week.
