Phayao Immigration have moved from the old police station. They are now located 15 kms north of Phayao on highway 1. When heading north the office is on the right hand side of the road. You have to pass the actual building by about 200 meters and do a u turn. It is a brand new building. The entrance is up a flight of stairs. They also have a ramp for wheelchair access. The waiting area is inside and it is fully air conditioned. In and out very quickly. Good service by the staff.
There is a map at the old office both in Thai and English.

Melioidosis is a common disease in south east Asia and northern Australia in the wet season. That is why doctors will test for this disease with a few symptoms being exhibited. I lived in the Darwin region for over 30 years before moving to Thailand. They would post the number of infected persons all the time. Thailand doctors are also very aware of this disease

Nice work by your boys Rip.
Enjoy the win.
A great win for the boys.
I did not see the game as my wife took me out for my birthday. I could not refuse. I changed to the Swans this morning. A great birthday present.

The AFL has blamed technical reasons for the controversial score review blunder in Fremantle's four-point win over Collingwood.
Michael Walters' snap at goal was clearly touched by Chris Mayne in the third quarter, but the score reviewer did not have access to that footage.
Instead, the goal was allowed based on footage from the goal line.
Confirmation of Saturday's error will come as cold comfort to the Magpies.
There was another stuff today in the WCE game. AFL will have to pull their finger out and make sure they have all footage available to them. In reality they were too lazy to go back to the initial kick. They have to make a quick decision and they stuffed up.

At the shop in Phayao where I buy my beer I am charged 600 baht per box of Leo bottles 620 ml. One time i came home my wife asked what price did you pay. I told her 600 hundred. She said I normally only pay 598. Next time she asked the old Thai man why he charged me 600 baht he replied with Farang price.
When she arrived home and told my I could not stop laughing. The farang price is every where.????

I have lived full time in Thailand for 8.5 years. In that time I have never been offered a plastic bag from Mako.
I would think that the head line is not true.
Is this fake news?

There is a solution. You can still not wear your undies. Go to a market not near where you live and buy identical shirts one or two sizes larger that you normally wear. In the same market you find a seamstress. Get one shirt cut off about a foot from the bottom and get her to sew to the other shirt. You then wear them outside your shorts and no one will notice your appendage.
Every one may think you are wearing a dress but problem solved.
It took 3 Leo long necks to come up with this solution.

Your Dees have done well picking up Dunkley in the mid season draft.
Meanwhile the Roos who are crying out for backmen picked up the leading goal kicker in the SANFL.
Someone might be able to enlighten me,the players that are picked up like the Dockers O'Rielly who plays for East Fremantle.
Does he play on there or be transferred to Peel Thunder, the Dockers affliate team mid season?.
Still haven't got the tipping sussed yet, this week went for all the top sides and still got 3 wrong.
Must be stuck in Fantasy land.
I see a few guys making runs up the ladder quietly so there's still hope.
There are also others like me making runs loudly down the ladder

Phayao Immigration have an obsession that bank statement/ passbook must be updated on the day of application. The day before, when I visited my bank to get all the papers in order, is not acceptable. K Bank system will not update the passbook if there has not been a deposit/withdrawal since the last update. Immigration will no accept this, believing that sinc eI got the letter confirming bank statement, I have withdrawn all my money and spent it.
2 hour rushing between I/O and K/bank before this was resolved by depositing 100B into my account.
Maybe only Phayao, but an indication of how unreasonable I/O can be, or want to be.
it seems o me that the only way to get the visa you want, (I want a retirement visa) is to find out what that particular I/O want and the do that. Claiming that 'the rules' or 'the I/O website' states something different is a waste of time. Each I/O is a law unto itself, and there is no appeal. if you do not like that, then go and live someplace else. TIT !
I did know about this. I had asked when I did my last 90 day report. I did my Retirement Extension in April using income method.
What I found strange is they wanted a photocopy of my wife's ID and her blue house book. My wife was with me. I was also told that next year my photo on the TM7 has to be without glasses.
They also wanted a copy of my most recent TM30. At Phayao you are required to do a TM30 if you stay overnight away from your normal residence.

We had a good storm last night. Heavy rain for about 50 minutes. We lost partial power before the storm hit. Lights went out but TV was still working.

I've been waiting for that sort of good news for a long time and no better person than you to bring it hot off the press Alex.????
Now if i was on the selection committee for a new coach, there would be no interviews for a Bolton like.
Or anyone else unless Brenton Sanderson doesn't want the job.
The perfect candidate with previous experience who would do better 2nd time round and has attacking, scoring mindset.
I'll get on the phone to Arden street now.????????????
Happy days ahead,if Scott had gone on another rebuilt and another 5 years.
Good luck FJ
I read he may be gone by Sunday.
The big question is who will employ Brad Scott.

Raining quite nicely out here, all we need is for it to continue for about 48 hours.
(That should be long enough for people to start complaining about it... )
The rain started at our place at about 1430. We had about 6 storms move through. Very good rain and excellent lightning even in daylight. The rain stopped about 30 minutes ago. Had strong winds at the start and lost a mango tree in our yard. The green mangoes were rescued.

Good win for the youngsters Rip.
I very rarely turn a game off before the end winning or as lately losing.
But watching Allir Allir run around on his own for 3 quarters stopping every thrust forward i decided the Aussie election broadcast was more exciting than what Brad Scott could do in the coaches box.
Not to take away from the Swans, there 2nd quarter was intense attacking football.
My thinking is that Allir Allir should not be in the team. He can mark but after that he is hopeless. Maybe Brad Scott thought the same.

Great win for the Swans. I change my tip after Kennedy was ruled out. Jones was out in the 2nd quarter. The kids really stood up. Average age for the Swans tonight was just over 23.

After this weekend and if there is a change of government then expats problems will disappear for a few months or more. All departments will be trying to crawl up to the new government.

English phonic's in thai schools are not taught. Because the thai teachers dont know the correct sounds. It's the teachers teacher (university) who are at fault.
So very true.
I had a conversion with a Thai who spoke limited English. I asked where he worked. He told me he taught English at Phayao university. I almost choked on my beer-
