Not necessary for western governments to do anything. It is up to the Thai government to rule over the Thais as they do us farang. I.E. if it is deemed NOT RIGHT (illegal) for a farang to own land HERE then it should be equally NOT RIGHT and illegal for a Thai to own land outside of Thailand. Any Thai found owning land outside of Thailand should be prosecuted HERE with loss of citizenship the highest penalty. Anything less would be a double-standard which of course the Thais are famous for.

Somehow or other any crime connected with Computers seems to be considered smart, and a clever act,when in fact its just as criminal as this degree student has committed,those unfamiliar with computer knowledge are of the opinion that,these people have awesome brains,when its merely another learning process.

Anoraks who are ruining peoples businesses and lives are criminals and not as clever as they would like to believe,so..... they can write a Virus,Hack into Private Information,bring a system down,and cause people a lot of problems,well do they expect to get a Nobel Prize for their Computer efforts?only malicious spiteful people,and social misfits,would do this.

Who should IMO be locked up for a good long stretch,without access to a Computer.

IMO the only thing to do,is the same as you would if she brought home an Orange and Green haired gormless dropout,her own age, Grit your teeth and welcome him in for a Coffee.

According to the documentary named above the UK has one of the worst healthcare systems in the world , which is why medical tourism to places like Thailand is so popular.

I believe the Thai extended family is a much better way of taking care fo the sick and elderly, with the addition of a basic heathcare for those in genuine eed

But is still the best Health Service in the World,thats why last year the US was taking advice as to how to copy the UK NHS.

Some of the nicest people I know in Thailand,American,Australians,English,Norwegians,Danish,Dutch,Germans,and more....I met on a very long stay in Udonthani.

As for making friends? there was no problem whatsoever,but then some effort,of friendliness, is also needed from within,one's self!

Personally I'm glad Security has been tightened up to ridiculous lengths,at Airports.

I can recall landing at Heathrow,and sitting in the Coffee shop,with two other men,who had suitcases alongside them,one was reading a Newspaper and the other was looking away,just the 3 of us,at the table.

Then they both got up, as if in tandom,and walked away,I looked around,expecting them to come back for the cases,

after a few minutes,I went to the information desk and told them about the left suitcases,they said, they would call Security,and would I go back to the Coffee shop and wait for Security?

I went back,the suitcases were still there, and I waited 20 minutes more,whilst hiding behind the large pillars there,and no one came.

Later I heard the terrible news, from a Taxi driver at my local train station....... that day was 9/11.

Thais operate on such a small profit margin that they wouldn't make anything on the transaction. There is very lttle mark-up on cel-phones.

My wife had a mobile telephone shop for 5 years,and the profit all depends on the price of the phone.

For a phone under 1,000 baht,the profit is usually 150-250 baht,

on a top of the range phone in the region of 6,000-7000 bahts profit,basically its what one can get for it,

and the RRP prices dictated by the wholesaler,which are reduced on a weekly basis,so if the phone is on the shelf too long,then profits can also be reducing !

I Always found Norton Antivirus to be a very intrusive program and deleted it.

I now use Microsoft Security Essentials own Antivirus Program which operates in real time,

Thai soaps disgust me. But what really disturbs me is the Thai's love them! What is wrong here, can anyone explain? I just see and hear bitches shouting at each other and scenes of violence. My girlfriend watches them, I am so disgusted with them, I cut the plug off the TV! So I am also guilty of censorship!

It seems to me that these soaps actually reflect the culture, and it's not a pretty sight. Maybe I am misunderstanding something?

No you actually have a full understanding,and your reaction to this brain washing Drivel,IMO is a perfectly correct response,they need educating, that this is not the real World on TV ,and violent behaviour,and screaming tantrums is also not normal everyday behaviour.

Also uncontrollable tempers,can lead on to potential Murders,Rapes,Grievous Bodily harm, etc, for someone else.But then this is just another example of Thailand being decades behind the West,in mainstream thinking.

Having seen many Thai woman (and men) lose their temper,its to a large degree the same behaviour as the soaps fiasco depicts,so the question is:
