  1. 1.70 cm...drinking too much that is also a problem
  2. Nope....I keep as far away from doctors as possible.....so do my parents, over 80 now....But also I am not afraid of dying....
  3. Whole fat milk is a bit "dangerous" because you can drink a liter or two without problems....easy to gain weight....Having the essential fatty acids is important. So having enough fat is important. But you can live perfectly without eating any carbohydrates and they tend to make people fat. If you don't get fat from them, by all means enjoy them. But when I gain weight it is where I start to reduce....so I would rather skip the bread under the butter instead of the butter. But what works works....if it is working for you, your way than it is the right thing to do..... I need to watch my beer consumption.......I don't drink much now, but it is a challenge for me.
  4. Well Levis Jean in Thailand...I always thought that sizes are globally the same....I remember in Austria they were somewhat the same...but it is so long ago I might be wrong.
  5. If you graduate something useful and it was not a pay to graduate university the companies kiss your feet to hire you. Problem is they don't study something useful. Technicians are always in high demand, as well as medical doctors.
  6. I would not trust the Thai RDA. RDA are very disputed. The opinions on cholesterol, carbohydrates and even protein vary massive. I would not put too much importance into these values and more look to eat as little processed food as possible...
  7. I am happy if the government does not do anything for me....
  8. I am somewhere 63-66kg range...no idea, but my jean I wear is size 31 and a bit too big. That does not make me fat I guess. Blood results...no idea and not interested in it, wasn't at any doctor for decades.
  9. do you have source for some of these things: Poland is next, bomb Berlin, nuke San Andreas Fault, etc?? I only read very aggressive things from NATO, Poland and Germany....But that is maybe just my bubble...as everyone get filtered news
  10. not too bad but too much carbohydrates, specially if the fruits are also sweet. And too little fat. Absolute no reason to limit red meat, cheese, dairy, milk, butter. Some claim that canola oil is bad, but I never read into it, so don't know if it is true. I use mostly lard and olive oil.
  11. Pizza: you buy an automatic bread maker. put direct in water, salt, flour yeast, press the button. It is minimal work for the dough itself and minimal to clean. like 3-5 min total Cholesterol: One of many myth...beside that fat is bad and the food pyramid that tells you to fill yourself up with carbs. If we would just forget the nutrition recommendations of the last 60 or so years (maybe more) and eat what our grand-grandmother would have cooked we would fix like 90% of the problems of the average people. Maybe not everything but most of the problems. There are films from the 1920,30,40s that shows the average people and there were basically no fat people which proofs that it is not human genetic to get fat, but something that we have changed. In my opinion: industrial food and wrong recommendations (low fat, high carb).
  12. OK the Ukraine webpage says that it is not the fact. I read several sources that claim 14.000+ even before the war. I can't verify what is true and what not. Before were reporters in Donetsk that reported daily shellings. But of course if Putin has planned the invasion before he would send out news like shellings in advance. It is a propaganda war and we can't verify what is true and what not, but when I see Azov Battalion with their openly wearing in Germany banned symbols I tend to believe crimes from them easier than the other way around. No matter who begin, important is that the killing stops. No matter who was right or wrong on the beginning.
  13. When I eat it, I think it is too much carbohydrate if you don't do much sport. But that is because I don't eat 1 slice I eat 5 slices....and I make it too much bread like. If make the dough part thinner and the cheese more it would be healthier. I am not concerned about the nitrates in that amounts. I don't think that the MSG would harm you, but a sausage with MSG and other fillers is bad quality and I simply refuse to eat such products out of principle (if that is correct English). Most of the cholesterol panic is just pharma product marketing. Don't be overweight, do sports and don't measure your cholesterol values unless you have some issues with heart in the family.
  14. I do the same in the gym. But up to 12km (sometimes 15) running I don't carry water with me and in Thailands heat I am heavy dehydrated and overheated afterwards. On the longer bicycle rides I have water with me, but still get dehydrated, it is just too hot for me during the day.
  15. yesyes.... Ukraine never intended to follow the agreement: they proudly told that they only signed it to win time to get their army stronger. Ukraine daily shoot artillery into civilian areas with a total of 14.000 Russians dead. No one ever claimed that these republics shoot at villages in Ukraine. There is no doubt that Russia is also lying, non of them is a honest player but they didn't kill civilians on a daily base and they don't boast about faking agreement. And Russia has several other "frozen" conflicts that are more or less calm. Putins politics is strange: He could have gone to Kiev in 2014 install the old legit government again, force elections and go out without much blood. Or he could have given that 2 regions safety guarantees in 2014/15 and go in enforce a 50km safety zone. But he did nothing from 2014-2022 and than start a full blown war. That is at least incompetence.
  16. I am not drinking that much beer.....But after running or bicycle in the heat and being dehydrated, having an ice cold beer is better than sex. Unfortunately than the rest of the day isn't very productive anymore, so I do that very rarely. Also might not be the most healthy thing to do. Pizza: if you make it yourself it is not that bad, beside that ham and salami that aren't full with things that don't belong into it (MSG, Soy protein, water binding chemicals) are difficult to find.
  17. Focus on the handrail...Think about: If you have a firm grip on the handrail nothing too bad can happen. That may help to overcome that phobia....
  18. He had his troops in Kazakhstan and in Georgia already and could have taken these countries without any additional fighting and didn't do it. I really don't think that he wants more land...Russia is big enough. And 85 years ago Germany was not big enough they needed land. And when you look it is not Russia that expanded but the NATO built the bases everywhere close to Russia (and China).
  19. For health reasons you should change the coke for beer. It goes down much easier than coke and doctors recommend in the heath when you sweat a lot you should drink a lot
  20. After a while eating only things you cook yourself (and not cooking <deleted>) the body tells what it needs.....you went running in the heat....you put extra salt in your soup because it is not salty enough. You did hard exercise and you really want a big piece of pork. You had 3 times pork in a row and automatically you want some vegetables and fruits....Didn't sleep enough, feeling a bit sick and need to work, and want something sweet (some easy calories). I think with that processed food, MSG, sugar, artificial sweetener, 24/7 availability, stress and lack of time/silence we kind of lost our instincts. And one more: It is before or after 5 AM or PM the natural instincts tells me it is time for a beer ????
  21. And if you eat less sugar your taste gets more sensitive.....I did Keto for a while and when I ate a normal carrot it taste sweet like a cake for me. I guess it is also the other way if you eat a lot sweet things, nothing taste sweet enough. Still eating very little sugar I can't eat ketchup in Thailand. It taste like a weird jam made from tomatoes. Way too sweet.
  22. If I don't eat breakfast I get hungry about 10-12 in the morning...depending on when I woke up, what I ate yesterday and if some good smell enters my nose. If I eat breakfast like some toast with jam and coffee with sugar at 7AM, than I am at 9AM so hungry again that I could eat the neighbors dog. If I would eat instead some mixed salad with some boiled eggs I wouldn't get that hunger effect. If I would eat some chips at 5PM, I would eat something again at 8PM and may wake up at midnight and eat something more (But eating exact at midnight does not could for the previous and does not count for the next day...it is in the gap between two days and does not count at all ????)
  23. yes but some things will make you feel full and some things will make you more hungry
  24. Nope because if you live/eat healthy you won't eat too much salt, because you avoid the hidden one. And even the sea gypsies (who swallow sea water) and some northern people (who eat all the salted fish which is so salted that you almost can't eat it). Don't have all kidney problems. It is not the salt it is everything together: overweight, drinking not enough, pain killer (they are bad kidney killers) too much protein, too high blood sugar and on top of it too much salt which also stress the kidney. But it is no problem for healthy people. And for the unhealthy it is just one of many components. It is far more important to reduce weight, get the blood sugar level OK, get off the daily painkiller, make sports. I am not saying that salt is no problem at all. It is a problem but in the big picture it is one of the smaller trees in the forest of problems.
