  1. from wikipedia: "However, it was approved by 61% of voters with a 59% turnout." For me that result is catastrophic...the constitution should something everyone should agree. Something like 80+% at a 90% turn out. Before someone told that in fact he did not say "going back to the previous constitution" but said to "a previous constitution" any of his picking.....I don't know if that true or not. Obvious if the constitution is rejected, if I am Prayuth I would take 2 years time to draft another one and if it is rejected I take another 2 years and draft another one. That would be the logic thing to do for a dictator who pretends to want democracy. My point is: I would not believe it as well.
  2. Than the BBC article is rubbish.....Prayut said in TV that he'll just go to the old constitution if the new is rejected (if he would do it or if it is a lie is a different question). And when you were here you have seen how much PTP and the red shirt cared about the ban....not at all. And afterwards he got the most votes in the election......So if they people would have voted yes only to get rid of Prayuth they would not have him voted in afterwards. And yes it was not a clean referendum...it was dirty. But if you read BBC....when did you or your parents had a referendum about constitution and how do you (not) elect your upper house?
  3. If I am Russian I would not want to be sent back with a criminal case and without job..... They find me some employment in the very west of Russia....
  4. red was running up and down the country rejecting it and everyone discussed it......There was no honest discussion because as now the one bubble shouted NO and the other bubble shouted YES and no one was interested in details. And no one bothered to read it....that why it got so sloppy....but it was voted for....which can't be ignored. Also note that afterwards Prayuth got the most votes in the election. Then he wasn't as unpopular as he is now.
  5. No the margin was not big...60 something percent with a low voter turnout. Prayuth said on TV that if it was rejected there will be the old constitution again and elections. Debunking these rumors
  6. Google is your friend......even poster: nakit admits it
  7. Where have you been....half the country was discussing it and the red shirts/Thaksin party was strongly opposing it and told everyone to vote no......that why the results weren't that great
  8. but better make them from stainless steel instead of wood.
  9. actually very small children, very old humans and disabled people can not learn to ride a bicycle.....but they can still walk, at least till an airport escalator bites of their legs
  10. Imagine you have a small child that can escalator perfect, but just short of the end his/her toy is falling and she puts the finger down.....it can't just tear of a finger of the kid, even if it did wrong... And at the end of the escalator everything is full with blood and some lost finger and toes are waiting to be cleaned off.... A technology like that could not be installed.... Off topic: I wonder what happens if the electric in Bangkok fails with the elevators and the people inside.....Must be thousands of elevators all at the same time. Who is rescuing them?
  11. You could also have a bad knee and be bad at walking....
  12. What is wrong??: The Move Forward party will never succeed in amending Section 272 of the Constitution, the lèse majesté law or in getting its leader, Pita Limjaroenrat, elected as prime minister. True The Move Forward party did not win a landslide in the May 14th general election. Well that is wrong 38% is a landslide The Senate and the people in general don’t care about the party’s protests or complaints. True Farmers want policies that earn them increased revenues, not gender ideology or “woke performative bull***t. True To sum up, “nobody wants you in charge, only bratty teenagers and disobedient children.” Mostly true “Your party is only two years old. What have you done in the last five years? Lawsuit after lawsuit. Your top three executives are banned for a decade, and Pita may end up with similar fate.” Also true
  13. no you can have unexpected things a toddler on it.....it is not acceptable that the escalator sometimes eat people that act dumb....It should lift you up one floor....it is not a natural selection tool that weed out the old, young, stupid and disabled. And that technology exists. Imagine what lawsuits would be in USA if the escalators sometimes eat people....
  14. the steps are Aluminum I think. the alternative matching comb has the sole purpose that nothing can enter. It forces things away/on top of the comb
  15. What was your argument? Was the constitution approved? Different than almost all in Europe or the USA
  16. He could have wrote: make it hard for everyone but me....
  17. I don't see it morally wrong...he find something that he thinks brake the law and reports it....Morally OK. If it makes sense and if he has too much time is another question
  18. the next Bangkok election is far away...in 2 weeks no one remember that anymore
  19. I agree with his rant, but he still must learn a man who tells the truth, needs a fast horse.
  20. yes but people don't like it if it shaves of the toes from kids and grandmum.....and in other countries it is good enough.....
  21. You can install windows 10 superlite, or you can use openshell and O&OShutup and some more tweaks to have a pretty good system. But if you install and uninstall things it still get slower and slower.... Problem with Win10 is that it constantly get worse...previously turned off services are running after updates and you have no permission to stop them on your own PC...... I had to play around with Linux on an OrangePi recently....it is also not a mainstream system....currently it can't be updated because with an update Klipper won't work anymore and since month there is no fix from Debian. I think Microsoft is already far behind Linux...when you consider that NAS, internet router, Android phones, Smart TVs all run on Linux
  22. did you have a chance to vote for the constitution of your country? Thailand had and they voted for it....
  23. Good that you mention the hepatitis C medicine.....there were big complains from the big shareholders that they should not do that again as it is unsustainable business. They complained exactly about that....It is the favorite example from all the conspiration talk show hosts.
  24. I can't see any big push for diet recommendation and exercise....actually they still come with the high carbohydrate food pyramid. And high blood pressure and the cholesterol topic it is even worse.....
