  1. One of this, IMHO, totally useless news stories which could end with: Similar events happen every day probably thousands of times all over the world. And then the speculation about the nationality of the victim. And the question of the nationality of the accused. And why did anybody steel lots of money and valuables? And why did anybody leave money and valuables accessible to others? And why did they bring money and valuables to Thailand at all? We still need the question why they came to Pattaya at all, they obviously must be sex tourist and deserve to be victims. And all that from a little boring everyday article. Interesting...
  2. And some of them are Thai, some are farangs, some are from other countries. And lowlifes exist all over the world. Is that a surprise for you?
  3. I agree with above. HDMI connections are sensitive, they are much more than just a cable. Cheap splitter, without electronic, should not exist. Good once cost several thousand THB.
  4. It doesn't matter. Because the reason for any arrest is to show the public that they are doing something. Here, look, we arrested some bad guys. Great, good job, and now continue as usual. Repeat after some time.
  5. I just had a look at Lazada. They are cheap. Personally, my first criteria would be quality you can trust. Because if such a thing decides to start burning in your pocket you have a problem...
  6. Win/win He will bring up lots of dirt about anybody who will dare to run against him in the primaries. The DEMs will be happy that Trump brings up the dirt and they don't have to do that. And if Donald runs for president, he won't have enough support from within the GOP and he won't win. And if he loses in the primaries, I am sure lots of his supporters will hate the then GOP candidate. Whatever happens is a win for the DEMs. And whatever happens is lose for the GOP. Summary Win/win for the rest of the world.
  7. Wow, 15 suspects! Is that even 0.1% of the people who are involved in gambling in Thailand? It's almost funny when they always pretend to do something. And then the same officers can be seen not so much on duty in the casinos. TiT!
  8. Will the girls have in the future QR codes with their bank details instead of numbers on their bikinis? And how should I explain that to the wife? Difficult times!
  9. That reminds me of that Thai criminal fugitive who sues people left and right but who seems to think he is above the law...
  10. I live in a big building in lower Sukhumvit Name Building Number/Unit Sukhumvit Soi x Bangkok 10110 THAILAND does the job. I never used the other little details. I don't think there is anybody in the mail office who doesn't know Sukhumvit. That doesn't mean you shouldn't do everything correct, but (likely) you don't have to.
  11. Thanks. That is actually an interesting thought. Because now we have it often enough that my girlfriend in the kitchen tells me: Remind me in 5min to do xyz. I think my new oven or even the hood has a clock and timer. But I better doublecheck about that.
  12. It seems you want it all cheap and then you complain when it breaks... I paid for my titanium frame about 20k - about 15 years ago. It's still perfect like when I bought it.
  13. I would have given you a thumbs up. And then I read the last line...
  14. Your reply is to my comment so let me reply. I don't think single party rule is a good long-term idea. There should be choices. That is good for everybody. And in a prefect scenario there should only be valid choices from politicians who tell the truth. I.e. they could discuss immigration and the pros and cons. And maybe one party stands for more immigration and another party for less immigration. There is not one answer what is correct. It is a choice for the people. And, as far as I know, people can establish a new political party and that party could get many votes in the next election. They could even win. One of the problems with many voters all over the world is that they always vote for the same party. It would be best if they analyze the current situation and then decide what to vote for. Obviously they should keep in mind what parties did in the past. But they should also consider alternatives.
  15. I think people should have choices. Choices between different policies and choices between different politicians. IMHO all politicians/people who are repeatedly and deliberately dishonest should be excluded from any government position - independent from their politics. Trump is lying all the time, there is no doubt about that. And almost all GOP politicians and a huge part of the GOP members still support him. Why? They could select another candidate who has the same or similar politics and support that person. I think that would be reasonable. But that is not what they do. Look at the two impeachments from Trump. Imagine a DEM politician would have done the same. Do you have any doubt that all GOP politicians would have voted to impeach him? Sure, they would have done that, and rightfully so. Why didn't the GOP impeach Trump? They could have made a statement like: We supported Trump's politics, but we don't support his lying and his corrupt behavior. We will select another leader who is honest and represents us and you. Personally, I would have respect for any party and their members who would do that. So, coming back to this situation: Dissolve the GOP or throw any politician out of the party who does not clearly do their job and work according to the US constitution.
  16. I think I am familiar with electrical installations and RCDs and MCBs and RCBOs - at least from a first world country. I never heard/read about a problem with a fridge. I found this information in the following link: When you should use a RCBO Consumer Unit (electricaldirect.co.uk) We recommend that you attach a RCBO to each individual circuit in your wiring system, so that any faults in one circuit will not affect the others’ functionality. If there are circuits in your clients’ homes that must stay functional at all times, such as the power to your freezer or fire alarm, a RCBO is the most practical circuit breaker to install. A RCD and MCB can still lead to a power outage, as they can only detect one type of problem. In less vital circuits, a RCD or MCB may be more cost effective, but it’s important to consider their downfalls when installing important wiring systems. Why do people here recommend not to use a RCBO? As far as I know a RCBO should only trigger if the device uses too much current or there is leakage. Both shouldn't happen with a functioning fridge, or any other device. Or not? If it is important that the fridge is always on (yes, I also like ice-cream) I would install an alarm system which lets you know when the power is off.
  17. Then why don't you see that Brexit is a failure?
  18. Fact. Why do you mention fact? Brexiters don't want to hear facts. Listening to facts would destroy their distorted vision. They don't want that.
  19. It is obvious that the Brexiters don't want to hear anymore how they ruined the lives of so many people. Just pretend all is fine. The UK is doing great. All those expected worldwide trading agreements are done, the future looks bright. Nothing to see here... Yeah, sure. In your position I would also prefer that nobody reminds me of what you did to the UK.
  20. No problem, papa will buy you a new car. Stop crying, all will be fine my darling.
