  1. Since I saw the movie I want one of those tents. I think if we go camping then we should do it with style.
  2. When I find a girl attractive and ask her where she comes from the answer is almost always: Buriram. Small and brown and cute. ???? Luckily they have a lot of those girls for all of us.
  3. I love the red cycle. Otherwise I would have missed the star of the show...
  4. Any partner can end the relation with any partner if they have different ideas about kids. IMHO too many people have kids because "everybody" has kids and "everybody" is asking about kids. It seems lots of Thais just have kids without any planning or any thoughts. Like: Where did they came from. We had no idea...
  5. If the relationship is doomed only because they don't have a kid then the relationship is anyhow doomed. Too many couples have kids because they think that will save their relationship or make it somehow better. Don't rely on that. Because what will you do if it doesn't get better? Kids deserve better than that.
  6. I hear all the time parents complaining about the high cost. And that includes poor parent when they have to buy new uniforms and books and also "rich" parents when they pay for good schools, a new computer, new phones, etc. Personally I decided that I only would want to have kids if I have enough money and I am willing to spend that money for a good school and university. Just any school, especially in Thailand, is IMHO not good enough. And the better the school the more extra costs. Like a new expensive notebook, a school trip to the USA, etc. I know enough people who spend over a million THB per year per child. Thanks but no thanks.
  7. There was a time when people informed themselves about a travel destination before they arrived. And with Covid it should be obvious to everybody to be sure they know the rules wherever they go. Then we would have also fewer of these articles "I had to quarantine". Just follow the news!
  8. That is absolutely wrong. You can look up 100 tests and 100 tests will confirm that. Why do you continue writing "advice" like that if you have no clue what you are writing about?
  9. Even if there would be no Covid in the USA I would still prefer living in Thailand.
  10. I don't remember that time. I wasn't old enough at that time.
  11. Sorry, no! That was never like this and will be never like that. SSD are a lot faster right from the start.
  12. It seems some designer had too much time and not enough taste. I guess what I am saying is it kind of fits with the rest of the "design".
  13. I work professionally with PCs since 80386 - about 1988. Never in that time there was one single part which made such a big difference than a SSD! Even the slowest SSD is a lot faster than a fast HDD. And fast SSDs are 10 times and more faster than slower SSDs. The good news is that on most computers (desktop and notebook) you can change the existing HDD into a SSD. Then the question is how much space you need. For Windows and a couple of programs about 250GB SSD is more than enough. Then it's a question of how much data you have. Maybe you can have a HDD just for data. If you watch i.e. movies the HDD is fast enough to do that. You only really need the SSD for the operation system and the programs to make it feel fast.
  14. Great, let me help you packing. IMHO there is no such thing as a farang woman who is anywhere near as attractive as many Thai girls.
  15. I only get notifications when my orders are shipped or arrived. I don't remember what I did but I think there is a setting where you can set which notifications you want to see.
  16. That reminds me of my early days in Thailand. I worked as a consultant for another consultancy company with about 30 farangs, all expats with big salaries who were sent here with their family. They worked a couple of years on a big project in Bangkok. And after that time about 2/3 were divorced from their farang wife and together with Thai wives and girlfriends. I thought it was funny - but then I never talked to the farang ex-wives. ????
  17. Maybe try the app. I just tried to login on the WWW, no success. The app works fine.
  18. Lots of people understand English. I watched her video and I have to admit I have problems understanding her "English"...
  19. Do you want children? Would you say yes if you would be 30 or 40 years old? Or are you happy to have a reason why it's a good idea that you don't have kids (maybe in general or with this woman)? Personally I don't have kids because I think they are too much headache and they cost a fortune. Some people like kids and they do their best for those kids. Fine, do it! Other people, especially many Thais, somehow "think" kids need a little food and all the rest will somehow go automatically. Parenting? A good school? Time for the kids? It seems many parents just don't care and/or don't realize how important it is to take care of kids. In your case I think think about if you want kids. Do you want to take care of them as long as you live? And what will happen if you die "early"? Will there still be enough money for a decent school and maybe university?
  20. In the last days I see more and more tourists in Bangkok not wearing masks. Most of the time I don't think this is a huge problem, i.e. if they walk along a street. But it is interesting to see that almost any Thai person and any foreigner who lives here wears a masks and tourists often don't do that. It seems many of them "think" this is Thailand and who cares. Maybe those tourists should think about why the number of Covid cases in Thailand is relative low compared to other countries. I am sure it's not only about masks. But masks help and for me it seems most locals, Thai and foreigners who live here, take Covid serious. If tourists think they don't want to wear masks then maybe they should look for destination where they don't have to wear them.
  21. I think that describes the situation of many men in the western world accurately. And if they come to Thailand for two weeks holiday and are then back home for 50 weeks then they discover their misery.
  22. Many years ago I often took books with me when I traveled. And then later an eBook. Now I still use an eBook at home but when I am travel i.e. in the MRT I read on my smartphone. There are few reasons these days to walk around with a book - not only for Thais.
