  1. I think Lenovo also repairs devices which are out of warranty - but obviously they charge for that. I know Blue Shop since many years and I bought several ThinkPads in that shop. I wanted to repair a hinge from the screen from one ThinkPad which is maybe 6 years old. They told me they are not able to get spare parts for that so I couldn't get it repaired. For that reason I don't know how good they are with repairs. But the fact that they exist forever (I guess >10 years in that place) is a good sign. And I don't know any shop which I would prefer. If you find a good ThinkPad repair shop then please post it here. Also when they sell ThinkPads they take their time and let the customer do the basic setup and let them test the device in their shop. I am sure they also supply help for people who need it. So all in all I have a good impression from them.
  2. Did anybody from the EU mention already: We told you so. You voted for Brexit.
  3. A) Call Lenovo support B) Maybe you refer to the same shop. In Fortune is Blue Shop, they sell and service Lenovo. https://blueshop2u.com/
  4. That's funny - independent from this thread. I think nowadays everybody says: google this and google that. Many years ago it was: surf the web. It seems you started with the WWW many years ago. For me it was 1994 with CompuServe and then Netscape...
  5. I just had a look at Hilti Singapore - in English. Lots of anchors with lots of details: https://www.hilti.com.sg/c/CLS_FASTENER_7135
  6. Crown Hotel Sukhumvit Soi 6 for less than 1000B. That leaves you extra 4000B for service. ????
  7. I think the question is not if you can pre-book. They question is how reliable it is. Because what's the point in having a booking but nobody showed up. That's not the time when you want to complain. It reminds me of when I rented a car from SIXT in Europe last year. Normally they have only groups of cars and no specific brand. But they have an option to pay maybe 8EUR more per day to guarantee that you get exactly the brand you want. I did exactly that and I paid extra to rent a BMW. I booked it maybe a month in advance. And then, when I picked up the car, they suggested first that I should take a Benz. I said no, I booked a BMW. And luckily they "found" one. So then I asked them what would be the situation if they wouldn't have any BMW, after all I booked it a long time ago. And they told me: Then you don't have to pay that extra fee and get another car... My point is. There is no guarantee, even if any company offers a service in advance.
  8. Many people who come from somewhere north of Thailand, i.e. Europe, always think about the south wall as the sun side. That is almost irrelevant in Thailand because the sun doesn't shine from the south. And in Thailand the sun shines from about 6am to 6pm. So no sunlight for a long time from the west side in the evening.
  9. Thanks Unfortunately that seems to be not the solution. Recently I ordered a cabinet which was supplied with those rawl bolts and I used them in the that kind of wall. The cabinet was bolted to the wall with 4 bolts. Luckily 3 of them were holding fine. But with the 4th bolt it seems I was unlucky with my drilling and it was more or less in a hole in the brick. It holds very little. And about the bricks: The picture above is from a half demolished wall. Normally the bricks are closed at the sides. But when I drill holes in a wall then obviously there is a good chance to hit a hole.
  10. What kind of anchors are best for perforated bricks? (I don't know if that is the correct term for these bricks.) If I use "normal" anchors like below (from HomePro) this works in part. But maybe half the anchor is in the hole of the brick. Not good. Are there special anchors for these bricks? How are they called? Do you have a link from a shop in Thailand? Thanks The bricks for which I need anchors: I used these. They are just about good enough to hang a picture or something similar. But definitely not good for heavy load. This is a general question. I might want to hang a picture on the wall or maybe something heavy. Thanks
  11. I understand that that is a concern. And it should be addressed. But it seem nobody wants to talk about the real issues. Yes, too many foreigners all together in the same place can be a problem. But talking about how much they cost and they are all bad, etc. is not helpful to solve the situation. But I guess that is exactly the point. Some politicians want something to point at, over years. They don't want to solve the situation. They only want to make people angry and then use that for whatever goals they really have. And that is obviously not only happening in the UK.
  12. Let's make a deal: If the migrants cost more money than they contribute to the UK economy then the UK should keep the money. But if the migrants pay more tax than they cost the UK tax payer then the UK should double the payment to the EU. Now guess who would have to pay?
  13. What gives you the idea they were thinking?
  14. It also depends on where you are. In some remote areas DTAC doesn't work and AIS is the only available option. And in other areas it might be the other way around - I don't know. Just keep in mind that in real life they might be bigger differences than you expect.
  15. That's ok. I don't plan to let any Thai electrician near my installation.
  16. Thanks Looking at that drawing and black, grey and green wires, are there any regulations which colors have to be used? I am used to brown, blue and green/yellow. Can I use cables with those colors? Thanks.
  17. Start with chemical castration. And then let's see from there.
  18. Try back home, wherever you come from. According to your last thread you are anyhow fed up with Thailand. Win/win and all that.
  19. Misha Charoudin has a great channel about the Nürburgring. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/c/MishaCharoudin
  20. That's wonderful news. I hope all those digital nomads read this and stay wherever they are somewhere outside of Thailand. ????
  21. Yes, that is sick. Obviously many of us like to have some fun at the side. But I think mostly we do it because we want something different from time to time. When it's more important for you to enjoy that you cheated on your wife compared to enjoying the sex with another women then indeed, that is sick.
  22. Did you read the last one? At least I think it was the last. It was so bad I decided I won't read them anymore. I read somewhere that Lee Child hired his brother to write for him. A failure. But I agree all older Reacher novels are good.
  23. Thanks! But it's funny/unprofessional that they have one domain name for their email and another domain name for the website.
  24. As far as I know: No But if you are legally married then maybe the law of your home country will apply. I heard (unconfirmed) about deals between lawyers and bargirls to get alimony payments from the German fathers of their kids. It seems those German fathers have to pay according to German law even if the Thai mother and child are in Thailand.
