I live and lived with view to that place. One morning, looking out of the window, something was different. But what? And then: Until last night there were lots of bars over there. And now not anymore. Interesting. One thing I learned that day was that it is amazing what Thais can do if they have the right motivation. The bars existed until after midnight. And by morning, maybe 7am, the place was flat and there was a thick concrete wall around it and security. All done within about 6 hours at night. Before I would have though that is impossible in Thailand. It was well organized and possible. TiT - this time in a different way.

Before it was a garden which nobody visited. And just another tourist place.

In part I agree with you. And obviously it is not difficult to call all his supporters uninformed stupid idiots - I am sure there are enough of them. But that is not the whole truth. That so called leader wouldn't be in that position if not lots of intelligent, well informed and rich people would support him. Poor stupid losers wouldn't be able to decide who becomes president if there wouldn't be enough powerful rich people with the same ideas. That is another part of our current media and especially social media. "The others are all stupid." No they aren't! At least not all of them.

Yes, correct. But sometimes they are right/correct. And sometimes not only the rightwing base should be triggered. In principle I consider myself left of center. And I see a lot of things which the rightwing, and especially the radical rightwing, do wrong. But I also see things which the radical leftwing do wrong, like above. I think the problem from many of us left of center is that we often only argue (and/or hate) all those right of us. But I think we should also acknowledge that there are some crazy radical left people and ideas which we should oppose. And we do ourselves a big favor of we oppose the radical left. Because if we don't speak up then those people on the right will rightfully point to those people on the left (anywhere a little left to radical left) and say: Look at them, they are all crazy like those people who want to be called "they". We should oppose those idiots. And what do people who oppose those crazy radical left-wingers? They vote right. If the left of center would make clear that we don't want to have anything to do with those radical left then maybe more people would think twice before they vote right. It would be great if they would just vote a little right of the radical left. They should vote for the center or maybe even a little left of center. Because left of center is still right of the radical left.

I like to buy some stranded and full copper (is that the correct term?) cables to use indoors in my new condominium. I want 3x1.5sqmm 3x2.5sqmm 3x4.0sqmm. What are the official (Thai) names for these cables and what is a good (online) source for good quality with a reasonable price. It seems many places sell a lot of cables with just 2 wires without earth. I don't like that. I want these two types. Thank

Is it legal and accepted to have a small security camera at the apartment door in a condominium? I.e. if someone is at my door and rings my bell and I am not at home then I would be able to see such a person remotely. Or maybe I am home and I want to know who is outside of the door without opening the door. For some cases a door spyhole camera would do the job. But it's 2022 so why not use a camera? I have something like this in mind - just a sample.

A long time ago we had maybe 3 TV channels and a few newspapers. And most of the time they reported more or less the same. Everybody had the same view of reality (as it was told by the few news sources). Now, with hundreds of TV channels, YouTube videos, social media, and and and there is more information. But also a lot more distorted information. A typical example is CNN or FOX. And with YouTube and social media there is no such thing as the same information for all of us. If I open YouTube maybe I see something completely different than maybe an old feminist or a teenager. Some sources are well known for incorrect information. We can avoid them or at least don't believe everything they say. Other sources don't really lie, but they often omit information and/or don't tell the whole truth. To make this tread not political lets use a nonpolitical example. The ongoing court case with Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. If I look at my YouTube frontpage I see often videos which show how she lies. I.e. she pledged to donate money to children but she didn't do it. When I look at articles in a well know newspaper/online source then I only see articles that she claims he hit her. Nothing in those articles suggest that maybe she did anything wrong. And I am sure if another person, maybe a feminist, looks at her YouTube page, she would see all those videos about how bad he is. So what is the truth? What do you do to get an idea what is really happening in Thailand, maybe in your home country, Ukraine, the rest of the world? Do you only read news from sources which you know write according to your believes? Do you try to look at neutral news? Do you even spend time reading the news from those other guys who always lie? Personally I think it is more and more difficult to determine the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. How about you?

It seems there are two wall type sockets 86 type which is used in the EU 118 type or 120 type which is used in the US. Here is how they look.
