  1. In Thailand? I like some beer, I like some wine. Drinkable wine is very expensive in Thailand.
  2. That should be no problem if it was properly stored.
  3. It's always amazing that people give those monks even more money.
  4. Beer Lao Dark - easily available in restaurants, bars and shops in Thailand. Not so easily available: Erdinger Weissbier or something like that. My favorite is Weihenstephaner.
  5. Obviously: Up to you. But out of interest, did you ever have a good quality chair like the Herman Miller Aeron? I can sit on that chair all day all night 24/7 and it's just fine.
  6. Get the best! Herman Miller Aeron
  7. Obviously, her husband should have told her: You bitch! Get that whip right away, on your knees, so that I can punish you. She would have loved that.
  8. And what does that tell us? Little to nothing. I am sure we can all find videos where the audience if pro this and contra that and then another video with another audience who has the opposite reaction. Summary: Some people think like this, others think like that. We don't really know how many think like this and like that and we don't really know who they will vote for.
  9. Says who? IMHO there are still too many people out there who pretend they know what will happen in November. It's a long time until the elections will happen. The outcome is still wide open.
  10. Marry her! She is obviously your destiny. And just in case you think that maybe you should think again, then read Private Dancer by Stephen Leather. You can buy it in bookshops and even download it for free. It will open your eyes. Enjoy!
  11. In principle I like the idea of legalizing gambling because it happens anyhow. Now lots of influential people make huge amounts of money with illegal gambling and lots of officials collect bribes to look the other way. What will happen when gambling is legalized? Will it only be legalized for some, and lots of illegal casinos will continue to exist? And what will happen to all the people who make lots of money with illegal gambling now? Will they just accept that they won't make any money anymore? Where should all the officials pay their luxury cars from, if no tea money is collected anymore? It is an enormous challenge to change the current situation to something better. Think about it. And think again, and ask experts to think about it again, and ask people who run the current illegal gambling. This is not easy. Don't mess it up like the weed legalization which nobody thought trough.
  12. If you want to know a lot and a lot details about phone chargers then I can highly recommend the videos from DiodeGoneWild. For everybody else: There are lots of different chargers with different outputs. If you have a good quality charger it will charge multiple devices fast and safe. If you have a low quality maybe it will charge some devices and maybe it will burn or explode or kill you. So, if you are not sure, then buy a high quality charger from a well known brand in a reputable shop. They will be a little more expensive, but they won't kill you.
  13. QR Code is just text displayed as an image which can easily be read by computers. It can be used like any other text. Just try it. It's no link, it's no payment, it's harmless text. Create your own here: https://www.the-qrcode-generator.com/
  14. Yeah, that is also possible. It's also possible to win the lottery. But it doesn't happen very often.
  15. I think many of us get used to medium quality if we didn't hear any good quality for a long time. And all those little speakers just can't reproduce any low frequencies. I bought a couple of years ago two small speakers with a subwoofer for about 10,000B. They sounded not bad. And then, maybe a year ago, I bought some professional studio monitors. Wow, what a sound, what a difference. If you can afford it, and if good quality is important for you, then pay the money for something high quality.
  16. It's good if she speaks English. But it's a lot better if you understand Thai language.
  17. The good news is that you restrict this to a Thai woman in Thailand. Good. There are many different types of Thai women: HiSo rich, rich and well educated, not so rich but maybe still educated, poor with a boring job, and then the night life workers. They are, not surprisingly, all different. And in general, I wouldn't say a relationship with one of them is easier or better that with another. They are different. Women all over the world prefer men with status and money. Thailand is obviously no exception. But here, at least with some of them, they don't try to pretend it's not about the money. And then there is the family. You will not just marry her, you marry her family. And often (always?) her family will be more important to her. And then there are all those cultural differences. Some are obvious. Some are understandable, and some are just "why do you do that?" uncomprehensible for many of us. I never married but I live since many years together with my girlfriend. She accepts that I am not keen to visit her family. She visits the family maybe every one or two months. She likes it. I tried it and I definitely don't like it. And I don't know many farangs who are happy to see the family often. Whatever you do, don't invest in property or have kids for at least a couple of years in Thailand. Maybe after a year you think you know it. You don't. A few years later you will understand that you didn't understand much after the first year. It will take time. Any commitment early on can be a huge problem. So, take it easy and manage your expectations.
  18. As far as I know there is an Audio print magazine in Thai in Thailand. Years ago, when I looked at it, they had lots of advertisement. I would guess that you should be able to find shops (or area with shops) in such a magazine.
  19. I was an active bar goer in Bangkok for many years, and it wasn't difficult to find bar girl on the edge of what was or is legal. 20 years ago, a well-known, police owned bar in Soi Cowboy had 16-year-old girls naked in the first line on the stage. It was very difficult to miss them. Then, years later, there was/is that police owned "restaurant" with naked young girls on stage in the same area - also owned by the police. Some bars had them a little more hidden as bartenders. Since the age changed to 20 and the police is strict about in Nana, the girls work in other areas. In many (all?) cases, the bar owners know the age of the girls. And all this happened in bars in the bright tourist areas, not hidden somewhere in a dark side street. We can imagine what happened in those darker areas - I was never interested in < 16 and I don't know if and where they work. But I am pretty sure one of those helpful tuk-tuk tour guides would find them.
  20. It seems that happens a lot, especially with Indian tourists. Are the cities save in India, and people don't have to worry about thieves? Or do they somehow think the family friendly Pattaya beach resort is such a nice and tranquil place? Or what?
  21. How about adoption? Are they allowed to adopt children?
  22. I think the 2nd choice, from above, is a reason. But not really a good reason. It's like the "we can still be friends" after a relation is finished. Some people are actually able to do that. Personally, I am not active on chat in general, I speak mostly with people in real life. Sometimes I see a girl who I f%$@ before, and maybe I know she is in a relationship, and maybe I still stop and exchange a couple of words. Is that the same? I don't know. But obviously you are right that she should be able to show her husbands those chats. If they are harmless then they are harmless, if not, then not. I wouldn't accept not so harmless chats. If it is harmless enough, then maybe I would accept it. Sometimes we have to compromise.
  23. Now that depends a lot on where you come from ... 😉
  24. I remember that morning. I looked out of my window and thought: Somehow this looks different over there. And then another look: Oh, all those bars are gone. And a big wall around it. Amazing. As far as I know nobody was hurt that night. People closed their bars and then the bulldozers came and then the bars were gone. One thing I learned from that: Thais can be well organized - even if they are not most of the time. That procedure, in the middle of the night, starting maybe 2am and finished before 7am including a concrete wall around it was amazing.
