Unbelievable hypocrisy. One foreigner in a fit of pique puts a foot wrong and the whole of Thailand yells for blood, never mind his Thai wife exploding in a foul mouthed rant. Meanwhile brutal domestic violence goes unchecked, teenagers roam the streets gunning each other down, land titles are issued according to size of accompanying wad, people have their lives destroyed by drunk drivers, illegal logging, human trafficking, scam call centres are flourishing, and fleeing little shxt parties on abroad after running over, dragging and abandoning dead cop goes unpunished thanks to broken justice system etc etc etc. Shame on you! Mob mentality. Back to sleep you go.

The street has always been 2 way, so why would now at once it be a shambles when it reverts to 2 way at night?
And how many people visiting IO would enter the street from beach road side, compared to those entering from 2nd road, or even not entering at all as they just park outside the soi? In my opinion, the one way is an improvement
Lot of crybabies in this thread.
How can a 1 way be an improvement when nobody takes any notice of it? And I always used to enter from Beach Rd. What makes you think most entered from 2nd Rd?
-
The one-way system(s) is a complete shambles. At night all roads pretty much revert to 2 way. No police. No checks. And no sign of any work commencing. Where's the plan, City Hall?

Request to moderator. Could this be moved to a more suitable forum? Maybe just Pattaya and Jomtien general topics?

IF you have WiFi, buy a Android TV Box - 1200bt 1 time, Download many free apks from Play store. I have US, Canadian, UK, and many other country channels ( about 200 channels total ) as well as around 5000 movies at NO cost.
If you go IPTV, you can get 8000+ channels ( many English speaking countries )- TV, movies, series etc for around 2000bt a year with a Android TV Box
Yes, but you'll need a decent internet connection. And unthrottled.

It would have to be a pretty old TV not to support digital channels. Sophon doesn't need any fancy box for the TV. I believe it is about 2500 bht/ year.
When I moved into my studio, there was an old analogue TV. Couldn't get the Sophon digital channels. So the old TVs still exist. Sophon is piped in free, or included I mean. It's not a bad service for what it is.

So what were the sophisticated techniques he used? Here's an account number. Just put all your money in it? How dumb are people?

I'm with 3bb. For about 10 days on and off I've had the dreaded blue buffering circle going round and round. My IPTV had become completely unwatchable, so my provider did numerous checks and reported their servers were working normally and offered a print out of their output speeds. They reckoned my bandwidth was being throttled.
So today 3bb showed up, and last thing the engineer said was, he'd removed all blocks and limiters on bandwidth. I'm on the 300 Mbps package. So it suggests 3bb where throttling. I'll know as I go.
Bad news. Evening viewing is back to buffering. Tried a VPN but with no result. Have to watch the cycling on Eurosport on terrestrial digital sophon.

We're joking about it (myself included) but it was actually very nasty. if the police hadn't intervened I don't know what the outcome would have been.
Agree. It was not a fun event. All that faux femininity completely vanished. A really unpleasant side to the trans culture. Violent and brutal. But, who am I to judge? Just calling it as I saw it, that's all. Could say the same about the lads out on a night out I guess, brawling with security. But this went beyond that. A baying mob.

I thought most of the cable suppliers here carried ABC which does seem to show Oz football regularly. If it is indeed cable, perhaps retuning to the digital channels is required. Sophon cable, for eg, carry quite a lot of English channels. (It might be that your condo is being cheap and has only wired the 'free to air' local channels). If your internet is good the streaming options are plentiful as answered here.
Sophon Cable has Premier Sports for union, league and Oz rules, and Eurosport, Golf channel and a number of others. Has English language movies and news. Aussie rules starts about mid March I saw. Have to find out if they can run it in to your gaffe. Not expensive. But need a digital TV to get digital channels.

I am confused.
I have a big stainless-steel pot from Seagull which I bought some time ago in Foodland.
It is not magnetic. I tested it with a strong magnet. No reaction at all.
So, I thought, just for the fun of it, let's try to warm some water in that pot on my induction hob. And, surprise, the water cooks.
Maybe a little slower than with another pot, but still fast enough.
So, what is this all about that non-magnetic pots don't work?
I also tried what I think is an aluminium pan, and that one doesn't heat at all.
Google is not my friend anymore.😕

If roads do in fact become one way, I will do what the Thais do and ride from Beach Rd to Immigration on soi 5 the wrong way. It's stupid to make that soi one way when there's plenty of room for a 2-way street.
Why not? Everybody else does. All the way round for Cheap Charlie's too!

The streets are getting dangerous due to these ladyboys , and why the hell on earth Thai immigration allows other Filipinos to carry on what they are doing in the streets of Thailand? Iam sure they lied on the entry point as Tourists but actually are in the same flesh trade . It’s scary
Muuuummmmm!

~ Four Filipino LBs whupped one Thai LB, filmed it, and posted on social media making fun of the Thai LB.
Thai LBs in the area saw the video.
Mayhem ensued.
I'm surprised Filipino sex workers and musicians don't face more "hurdles" here.
How do they get in? Immigration at both ends (🤔) of the flight are super selective. I guess when push comes to shove, we all have a soft spot for a trans. Haha! Too many puns there.

why is this garbage thrown into the story ? it has absolutely nothing to do with anything. pointless.
i expect this group of ladyboys will head to pattaya and stand in solidarity with the many a gold chain wearing victims ?
they are just angry their territory is being taken over.
funny that eh ? when *other* kinds of protests happen in bkk they manage to amass thousands of officers to quell the uprising.
You're not suggesting most of the Thai trans were off duty policemen, surely?

Thai cops overpowered by a bunch of screeching men in frocks. Typical of the pathetic native police as soon as they're faced with the slightest conflict instead of having their boots licked while being handed cash.
If you dressed up in a frock, would you be available for hire?

I was under the impression non magnetic metals won't work on an induction hob.
I bought an Electrolux portable, single hob unit. Sits on top of the worktop or old hob. Have used it continually for maybe 2 years. Got it in Homepro. Ideal for studio flat.

Me too . Had a colonoscopy and a gastroscopy 5 months ago in a UK NHS hospital both without sedation . The colonoscopy was not a problem , you just feel the probe inside your body but the gastroscopy was not good . Just a spray to the back of the mouth to give numbness but the probe had me heaving a few times . I would recommend sedation for the gastroscopy .The colonoscopy requires that you take laxatives one day prior to the procedure . My laxative was in the form of a powder that is mixed with warm water . Laxative name is Moviprep .I can warn you not to go out but stay near your toilet because you bowel movement is lots and sudden .
I can vouch for that. Talk about the world dropping out etc....

Very unlikely that will happen. What an agent gets paid gets spread around. Could well pay an IO's kid's school fees.
