  1. Yes, I'm considering suing for my damaged reputation.
  2. Round up two beggars for ruining Pattaya's image. Meanwhile, a back street surgeon, one amongst many, carries on his business down the road. And the BBQ bars are still going strong.
  3. Floods in the north, drought further south. Best form a committee and do nothing.
  4. Rounding up a couple of beggars is a crackdown?
  5. Murray is gay, so I guess there's some hope for him.
  6. It will have the effect of a whirlwind economic revival apparently.

Have to concede. But they don't display any UHT labelling. But buried in the Thai description, decipherable with Lens, it mentions UHT packaging. It has FDA approval, a blue logo, and halal, an Arabic script logo. Why don't they put UHT labelling on it?
  8. I lived on a resort where the owner was selling 30 year leases, with the con that they were renewable for 30 years. I have a Thai daughter, so got a 3 year lease with the option to buy in my daughter's name within that period. Cost nothing. It worked out and we got the chanote. But later on, another leaseholder tried to buy the land in his Thai daughter's name, based on a similar option to buy, and the owner challenged it in court, and won. The judge said a lease cannot be construed as a sales contract. Now, virtually all the leaseholders (maybe 10) have sold up, at very poor prices. The clock is ticking with a lease. If there's only say 15 years left, who will want to buy it, if the lessor won't issue a new lease?

You seemed to suggest I was too blind to see it. Truth is, I've never looked for it either. My mind's elsewhere when shopping in Ratanakorn. I sometimes buy a bottle of fresh coconut water. Great for rehydrating.

No. It's off the shelf. 100s of litres in Makro. Different brands. Never seen it?
  11. I withdraw 20k a month as required but I change the 1k notes into 500s.

Huh? Tucked away behind one small stall between meat and veg? The meat stalls turn my stomach. The stench is terrible. I'm usually there about 2-3am getting veg and herbs. Always sweet basil (ho la pa), dill if I have some salmon. I buy a whole side and cut it into portions and freeze. Maybe an avocado or two, maybe an apple or two. I got 3 granny smiths for 20 THB there recently. They were good, too. Amongst the kiwi gala and Chinese imports.
  13. My Philippines one is on my phone but you can print it out.
  14. But he's got to be looking for it, and know what he's looking for, on 150 different passports. AI could do that in a split second. An IO? Can't even find the last stamped page.

Yes. Stress is a killer, no doubt about that.

I never saw coconut milk in Ratanakorn. Water, yes. I don't freeze it. It has a long shelf life unopened, and I keep mine in the fridge once opened. It has a lot of oil in it which comes out when you cook with it. You know a paneng curry? That creamy texture? In southern Thailand they use it much more than Issan or the north.

Check it out, scoob. Processed cheese is junk for sure. No way is Brie, Camembert, mature cheddar, nor any decent English, French, Italian or other "continental" cheese junk. An extremely important food. Hundreds of different types. Goat, sheep, buffalo, cow. So many myths around. It's carbs that kill you.

Ummm, 233 THB per kilo? Or 700 THB per kilo. I don't buy NZ dairy produce. I was brought up on Anchor in boarding school. Put me off for life!

It's odd, that, because on an annual checkup they test for ketones. If the reading is high, they start to panic. Of course, it's a sign the body has adapted to a sugar free, or even carb free, diet.

Not the same as coconut water. And I can't be running out into the street to find a vendor whenever! I use it mainly for cooking, stews, curries, and also shakes. It's almost carb free. Long shelf life (no additives). Same as cheese and butter. You can eat as much as you like. Ask keto!

Yeah, it looks like you nailed it. I still do Makro. Organic eggs, coconut milk, olive oil, belly pork, frozen fruit (apricots, strawberries, peaches) for shakes, that sort of thing. And they open at 6am.
