Kim Jong Un Warns of Nuclear Retaliation Against South Korea
bradiston replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I read Al Jazeera, Reuters, DW, BBC, BKK Post, and any others where they're linked. But I don't read Fox or CNN. So what makes up the MSM? Stuff conspiracy theorists read for source material I guess. Cheaper than Playboy, right? -
I think there's some truth in that. But there was no knowing what sort of treatment he would have received had he handed himself in to "take the rap". He could have been a free man some years ago if he got only a few years. But if he'd got 20 years? That may be what was uppermost in his mind. Also, what would you irvi have done in that situation? And for a lot of the time he had a couple of rape allegations in Sweden pending. Anyway, he's done his time I guess, one way or another, so good luck to him now he's out and about.

Neither do I, but I treat all other sources with extreme scepticism also. Conspiracy theorists always have this mythical idea of "believers in MSM". They love to jeer and ridicule people who don't subscribe to their warped out version of reality, and who they think believe everything they read. Their arrogance is astounding, like they're the only ones in the know, and everybody else is just too stupid to have "figured it out". That's what really pxsses me off, and why I'll savage them on every possible occasion. Their theories are totally laughable in most cases.

Crackdown: 22 Illegal Immigrants Arrested in Samut Prakan

Where I shop in Pattaya, I won't say where, all the veg stalls and most of the fruit stalls, are run by Cambodians. They do a very good trade and have brilliantly fresh produce. I don't understand the complete absence of Thais. Maybe they don't like the idea of getting up at 1am or thereabouts to open up, unbox the deliveries, and stack them on the stalls. And work through til 4 or 5pm. I assume they're all legal as they seem very well established with excellent supply chains. -
Keir Starmer’s EU Reset: A Strategy Built on Falsehoods
bradiston replied to Social Media's topic in World News
"Ruin the country" covers just about anything. You really think the country's ruined? If so, don't you think the Cameron/Johnson/Sunak administrations might have had something to do with it? After all, Rome didn't fall in a day. Import criminals? What happened to the Tory promise to take back control of our borders after Brexit? They couldn't even force through the Rwandan scheme to EXport criminals, as you call them. Give away territory? Oh, you mean Diego Garcia? We had no claim on it. The local inhabitants were displaced and banned from returning because of the US base there. Even reporters couldn't get in until the BBC were allowed a brief visit. The winter fuel payment is still available to those claiming pension credit. 800,000 people who are entitled to pension credit don't bother. I'm a UK pensioner. It took 3 minutes to Google the facts, not your scandalously misleading précis. And you suggest I'm the propagandist. Why are you so bitter? Chip on the shoulder? What did Labour, presumably, do to you? What's with the "Leftie" nonsense? This is how the Rugby Club at university c. 1969 referred to long haireds and stoners. A little passé don't you think? Might need an upgrade into the 21st century. London lost preeminence as a financial centre. So what, you say? A small price to pay for securing our borders, right? 555. What a load of you know what. And I don't copy and paste from X. I'm not even on it. Never have been. Never will be. I'm not a fan of Musk nor AI. So any more baseless allegations? Or even claims? -

I'm not a Starmer supporter, but do you have a reverse AI filter? All artificial, but no intelligence? -

Oh, calling me stupid is ok then? Yeah, banned a number of people from commenting. That's what I took you to mean. But I asked you what you said to offend? And please don't "hope for my sake". I can take care of myself. What makes you think I'm on the left? Because I call out your stuff about the FT and the Guardian? What's your experience of "left wing" politics? I'm not a socialist. You label anyone challenging your view as Left, or Leftie. You dismiss the FT and the guardian as what, Leftie? Childish. -
Kim Jong Un Warns of Nuclear Retaliation Against South Korea
bradiston replied to Social Media's topic in World News
This crops up everywhere. It's mythical because allusions to it never actually name any sources. It's just a blanket term for media the right doesn't like. It's like "socialist", "woke", "liberal" etc etc. People who use these terms to insult have no idea what they're talking about. It's just hard right rubbish. -

Read what? All your previous drivel? Puncturing the narrative? Where do you get this garbage from? -

Why not in the SSM - the side stream media? It must exist. Is it a parallel flow of BS, or does it flow into the mythical "MSM", and then out into the sea? Quote me something from outside the "MSM" as I'm sick of hearing you guys crying over it. It's now become such an overworked cliché, along with "western hegemony" (definevitvif you can without recourse to wiki), "globalist power mongers", "woke libtards", etc etc. The language of dickheads. -

The Israelis have admitted lapses in security. But I guess what you're hinting at is it was staged to allow Israel and the IDF to initiate the final solution on the Palestinians. I guess anything's possible. Even Trump's assassination attempts were staged! I just believe the Israelis are smart as hell. They seem thisxwarcas a fight dmfircdurvival, and as such, anything goes. As for North Korea, who knows the western alliance, including Japan and South Korea, doesn't have a nice little package for Kim? -

I think the Balkan states have all applied for membership. Norway has so much natural gas it is quite happy staying "independent". And as for the Swiss? They seem happy to remain neutral on all matters, as ever. -
Ok, so where would you rather live? I had some very good friends, both passed on, but who were staunch communists. You know, defend Stalin, lovely eastern Europe full of happy people etc etc. Famine, what famine? But would they go anywhere near the Soviet Union, or latterly, Russia? Absolutely not! Because they were old school, they saw the world through a purely ideological perspective. It didn't matter what the Soviets did, it could only be for the common good. I find this completely duplicitous and delusional. I don't think you can compare Putin's extremely repressive policies against journalists, indeed, against all Russian citizens, with anything in the West. He started a war (yes, he did) which every Russian I've met in Pattaya, and there are a lot, absolutely hates. Many are in Pattaya for that very reason. And it's a war against his own ethnic group, while claiming a sort of holy war against Kiev's Nazis who would prevent Russians from speaking Russian. Hitlerian, to be sure, casting Ukrainians as the untermensch from which oh so racially pure Slavic Russia needs to cleanse itself. Only one link this time, as I concede most reports on the war are heavily biased one way or another. It's impossible to tell fact from fiction. It's also impossible to tell the exact state of the Russian economy, support for the war, or support for Putin, as nobody dares to say a damn' word in public for fear of arrest. This is his MO. Just like his Stalinist predecessors. The gulags are still operating. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/9/30/putin-says-ukraine-goals-will-be-achieved-as-he-repeats-neo-nazi-claims

Foreign Rider Killed in Early Morning Motorcycle Crash in Jomtien

Plus it looks like it was opposite Workstation where I think there are several late night gaffs. That's a win in the photo. Maybe nearby win station. Maybe Russians. I used to run down there almost every night about that time. Cabin fever drove me out of my apartment. Tragic. -

The US and Israel can and will if necessary, stop Iran. They did it once before with Stuxnet. If they can bug hand held devices, take out Soleimani, Nasrallah and any amount of Hezbollah and Hamas personnel, why not the Iranian leadership? Maybe they already did when the Iranian president, foreign minister, and other high ranking civilians and security personnel were killed in the Varzaqan helicopter crash. It was the only one of 3 that crashed in the convoy. -

I don't wish to sound insensitive, but how can you say that? You're saying if he hadn't been stoned, he wouldn't have blown his brains out? He'd have found a way, believe me. Ganja or no ganja. -
