  1. I was prescribed Symbicort by a doctor at Bkk Pattaya hospital and been using it once a day for a couple of years, but sometimes I was doubtful that anything was actually coming out of the inhaler as I could never actually see or taste anything. Anyway, when I got infected with Dengue I felt so poorly I stopped using it, and to be quite honest if anything, my breathing has improved, no wheezing or whistling. Go figure.
  2. Trying to drink at least a litre of water a day plus fermented tea and energy drinks. Might also add another side effect seems to be constipation. Have been feeling on the depressed side but put that down to just feeling off-color and my age.
  3. Was diagnosed with Dengue a couple of weeks back, but find I'm still feeling fatigued and slightly dizzy. It seems there's nothing much can be done about this other than wait it out. I am grateful that I got one of the less virulent strains, was unaware as to how many people (180) actually die from Dengue in Thailand each year.
  4. Never had an iPad, but a Galaxy suits my needs.
  5. I ended up buying a cordless B&D edge trimmer after years of frustration with the old corded model not feeding the line or line continually breaking.
  6. Bought a new Samsung Galaxy A7 Lite from Lazada for around 4500 baht. Had it for 3 or 4 years and it performs faultlessly.
  7. I've had the same one (Asgatec) for about 10 years and have also cut the cord a couple of times. I've found the secret is to have the cord over my shoulder which keeps it well away from the cutting action.
  8. Would OJ have got off without a team of high paid lawyers? Money talks everywhere.
  9. After 11 years he may as well just continue to fly under the radar as long as he can get away with it, the penalties aren't going to get any bigger. Unless he has a wish to return home, then that's a different story.
  10. Where exactly on Maprachan?
  11. There is no specific treatment for dengue, so early diagnosis wouldn't have changed much.
  12. Was it just coincidence that I got it 2 weeks after my partner had it, or did I get bitten by a mosquito that bit her?
  13. Yes, went to Jomtien hospital on Sukhumvit for the first time.
  14. Took myself to hospital this morning as still feeling less that 100%. Blood test showed that I had Dengue fever, but there was nothing much they could do for me as I was already over the worst of it.
  15. I'll tell you exactly why. I swore I'd never end up like my father who spent the last few years of his life with doctors appointment after appointment, test after tests, and I don't think any of it prolonged his life by one day, he died at 84, I'm coming up for 82. If I rushed to hospital every time I had an ache or pain that lasted more than 2-3 days I'd be doing nothing else.
  16. I said 34.9. Now is that nearer 35 or 34 degrees? 34 still wouldn't be fatal either.
  17. Sheryl has already explained the low reading, but I don't believe 35 degrees is too low for life anyway, it would just mean mild hypothermia.
  18. Sorry, you're correct, my sense of humour is in short supply at the moment.
  19. And you know this how?
  20. My next post might be how to remove idiots and their idiotic comments from the Medical Forum.
  21. I'm using an Omron digital thermometer and using it under arm.
  22. Had this bug for over a week, like a flu without any cough or cold, just wanting to sleep a lot, fatigued and no appetite. Thought I'd check my temp and I know 37 is normal, but mine is consistently under 35.
  23. Don't have any symptoms of adenovirus, no coughing, sore throat etc.
  24. Seems pretty strange that I got almost identical symptoms as she had, except I have bloating. All within a few days.
