  1. Thais are poor. Falang rich. When Thais go to Falangland, Thais always get charge expensive Falang price. So when Falang in Thailand, they should also pay expensive Falang price. This is the universal law of same same no change. If falang want to pay thai price in thailand, falang should also charge cheaper thai price to thai people while in falangland.

typical attitude of the thai scammers, but so wrong. Go to Uk/London and everyone can go to museums free, masses of foreign tourists, and of course churches and cathedrals are free to go inside.

I have no idea what a Falang is.

Ever ask yourself why Thais are so poor?

Same same no change is not a universal law. I can see you have not been outside of Thailand.

  2. These days, most embassies have reduced their services to issuing new passports and issuing visas for Thai Beauties to visit their Frarang sponsor in Farangistan.

For the daily paper-shuffling they have Thai-Nationals at their disposal. Oftentimes their language skills are simply inadequate to handle current affairs concerning the Farang.

But then, one must forgive the Farang-Embassy staff: They have a horrible time table. They must hop from one Hi-So Event to the next. And all this merely on a lavish European salary?

I am not so sure, if the Thai sweetheart, having received her Visa to visit her sugar-daddy in Farangistan has won the lottery, or the Farang/Farangista that has landed a job at the embassy.

    Cheers.

Farangistan ... love it ... my laugh for the day.

Now I know what to say next time a Thai asks me where I am from.

  3. No one realizes the cost of corruption isn't money. Corruption drains funds from infrastructure, education and in general, quality of life for the average citizen. Lots of papers written on the subject.

Glad to see the police issue is out of the closet.

Like I said, if there is enough evidence, name and shame and go after the bank accounts domestic and foreign. OH YES ... tap into those foreign bank accounts and see the money come back to Thailand..

  4. "Pattaya police have set guidelines relating to the issue including establishing a settlement room"

    cheesy.gifclap2.gif

Why? I saw on a YouTube the efficiency of the police settling a jet ski incident. He negotiated from 30,000 baht to 10,000 baht right there at the beach. Of course, one YouTube video showing the operator with a gun was not open to negotiation.

  5. Parking in the middle of the road,

driving on the wrong side or both sides of the road,

    passing on blind corners,

speeding in school and residential areas

driving at night with no lights....

    excessive speeding..

The list goes on and on....

I never want to hear that the Thai government needs money for anything...

Thailand is a potential gold mine if traffic laws were enforced and drivers fined....not tea money, real fines!

But then you may have to pull vehicles over for "moving violations"

It's funny, but they are never moving when stopped at the road blocks!

All they get there is 200 thb tea money for no helmet or licence!

Are you saying the police should actually know the law? Are you actually saying the police should really work? Going to take a long time for that to happen, but you are right. Proper enforcement and proper fines would be a gold mine for the government. It would save a lot of lives too.
