  1. This reminds me of a man I knew down in Korat a few years ago. He had gotten in a bad accident and his wife and her kids did not take proper care of him. They hid his passport, took all his pension money every month and refused to sent him to physiotherapy which he needed otherwise he would not be able to walk again. I went to see him and I insisted that they would allow me to see him and it was heartbreaking what I discovered.

I contacted his embassy and within 2 month he was back home with as his embassy got involved as well as some local authorities. He was able to go to a care facility where he got proper treatment. I heard that he recently returned to Thailand after being fully recovered. (And no, not back to his wife and her "lovely" kids)

Yes, I know an old guy that l think about. Similar stuff, his cash taking care of hoards. :(

    Yourself ?

  2. Most Thais I've met are significantly tidier than me, though that's not a big challenge. My gf starts each day by gently sweeping the ants out of her house/shop ... wouldn't want to step on the buggers. Literally wouldn't kill a fly ... or a roach ... even in the house. Guess I'm relatively safe then... :whistling:

Only if you are ranked higher than an Ant, Fly or Cockroach. :)

  3. It is a quick and easy way to prevent and clean up spills on tile floors before people slip. Normally placed between wet and dry areas such as kitchen/LR or Bath and other rooms.

someone gets it, they put them on floors that are clean, shoes are taken off, and feet are all looked after because the majority of people who enter are fighters so the feet are well looked after.

one thing I have noticed is Thai people keep there homes very clean.

Why ask a question in a new thread when you already know the answer..

not so much a question as a discussion, thats what we do here isnt it.

No, we pick apart each and every new topic hoping it causes arguements, seems that way to me. :)

  4. Of course it's possible to enjoy driving in Thailand, as long as you are not too old to adapt to different driving conditions.

    ThaiVisa members may struggle.

Seems you have a problem with folks age. Obviously you are still a teen. If you want advice on how us older guys tick, just ask. :coffee1:

Nope, I'm 57 but been here since I was 35, so like I say, it's easier to adapt when you are younger.

  5. OP. After according to yourself been here for 22 years, building a house in Loie, buying a condo in Patts, buying 3 farms and buying a Nissan Pickup, 5 motorcycles, a Honda City and a Fortuner.

All that experience, and this topic was the best you could think of?? :(

What would you suggest, my experience in number 2 Para ?

  6. I was in a motor driven by my mate one night, he was well pissed, another Farang in a pick up equally as pissed as my mate started some macho <deleted>, my mate pulled an Airsoft gun, it looks just like the real thing, stuck it out of the window and the look on the other guys face was priceless, he hit his brakes, done the next turn behind us and never saw him again.

Bet he never gave it large again in Pattaya.

This was the same guy who was blubbing when some 'Farang' actually taught him something about Thailand the other night...

I've lived here since December 1990, that guy had been here for 3 holidays, a total expert in 6 weeks.

    How about you ?
