  1. Just checked the requirements on http://www.thaiembassy.org/phnompenh/en/services/7962/86336-Tourist-Visa.html , so it seems a ticket out of Thailand is mandatory. I could not secure the METV this year for the crazy reason that Mr. Consul wasn't in the house and nobody appointed to sign the bloody visas.

I have planned a boat trip to Luang Prabang, but it would be 1. after the 60 days so require an extension, 2nd probably does not qualify.

Just wonder do the travel agents provide air-tickets, to what cost, or better I look already around for flex tickets I can change a couple of times. Plan to get out anyway end of Feb/March.

VE or TV entries are designed for Tourists.

If your staying in Thailand throughout the year using these methods, then your not a Tourist by definition.

There are other options available for those who wish to stay permanently in Thailand.

It's just a warning to have plan B in place.

Many reports on the forum of foreigners being denied entry or TV's because they are adjudged to be spending to much time in Thailand under the pretence of being a tourist.

Yep, as a solution I just spend much less time in Thailand nowadays.

Those 3 pages are not valid for departure or entry to the country.

You might get lucky and a immigration officer would use one of the pages.

The problem you have is that you need a empty page for the Cambodia visa on arrival. If you have a page for it then I would guess you would have room for departure and entry stamps on some other pages.

    Or use the electronic visa

  4. It's not the point of doing it in 10 min. I'm in a rather small town close to the border, so I can literally walk over, and rarely any people inside.

The problem is rather that I have to bother my 72 year old landlady with all this BS, I just don't feel comfortable with it.

Oh, by now everyone should know that every single immigration office applies their own set of rules, and that can even vary with what person you're dealing. So I have to supply the whole load of paperwork every single time.

Well to say the least none essential travel is suspended. Everything else, usually involves border crossings, I try now to schedule on either Friday returns or weekends, so to buy some time until Monday.

Just imagine the trouble of starting an inkjet printer after 6 months out of country.

  5. Have been to Pantip this week. There you can see quite clearly the current state of Thai economy. There were times when it was difficult to manage your way through all the people. My guess 70% of all people inside were working there. 1st floor has now much larger room between the stalls, so fewer stalls. 2nd floor looks a bit than years ago, so did not pay much attention. 3rd floor to 50% empty and some (at least one of the larger) were busy packing.

    4th floor 4-5 stalls remaining.

Saw an Xiaomi Mi stand there, did read in a news article that the Mi9 was released on Amazon for just aver 300EU equals 10000 bath, same device in Pantip 13500 bath. BTW Thai VAT 7% German 19%

  6. I would like to tell foreign tourists that Thailand has returned to full democracy, so they can come back to visit the country again,” Phiphat said,

    Amazing views Mr Phiphat.

Hitler,s election 33 was far more democratic than the stunt from this "government". Just saying.

Sad enough that most western governments did fall for it, wonder what's all about, no more rice for the world?

  7. Probably doable, but my guess, it's much easier to run the VPN on the Client. Most VPN providers allow multiple Clients to be connected one one subscription.

It might be a challenge to find a provider who is not blacklisted with your media provider. Sky in your case.

I took them once, when they still had flights to LA. Swore i would never fly them again. Food was crappy, served cold, and "air hostesses" were old, all well over 30, totally unattractive, and downright unfriendly, and even rude.

You sure that was Thai. It sounds to me much more like Lufthansa or well, I could name pretty much any of those old middle European airlines.
