  1. Hello, Can't really find any straight answers to this question online.. Does anyone have any first-hand experience of getting their Thai Born child (now aged 11) their first British Passport in Bangkok? Did the child have to attend in person? Child has Thai Passport Child has birth registration document from British Embassy (just after Birth) confirming his right to nationality. Father is British, Grand-parents British (so the descent law doesn't apply) Mother is Thai (Does she need to attend?) Were any translations of Thai Birth Certificate etc.. required? Application asks for town of Birth for Child (Thai passport says Chonburi) but Banglamung (In Chonburi) is the real town of birth but does it confuse things? Would appreciate any pointers/advice.. Thanks in Advance
  2. Is it just a question on the application? Or do you need to provide a document... They dont call Pattaya the new Costa Del Sol for nothing, plenty of UK convicted criminals living there I don't see how Thailand could possibly check other than googling your nane, although not recognised in Thailand the rehabilitation of offenders act clears most offences from basic DBS checks very quickly unless you have been to Jail for a long time. *Assumed you were British as growing Cannabis in cupboards is a popular hobby there- apologies if your not.
  3. The Agent serves no useful purpose in the Elite Visa process, you don't need them and it will be hard for them make any money out of you.. The Agent may prefer to keep you in the grey areas like Dodgy Volunteer/Education visa's etc.. The Elite Visa is there for people with financial means but do not fall into the other categories Married or 50+ etc.. As mentioned, talk to the elite people directly.
  4. Despite the government Fees being only ~3000 baht, I was happy to pay 12'000 THB a year, it was convenient for me as I never had to visit the Labor office ever (unless book was full) and everything was done by post. I think 20'000 baht for the 2 years is pushing the limits a bit though.
  5. No problem doing mine online last year with auto-translate feature of chrome..
  6. Not a great layover but instead of criticizing your choice like others who obviously haven't been on a connecting flight in the last 2 years, I will sympathize with your lack of options because of something called "the Pandemic". Maybe call these guys Louis' Tavern Dayroom & CIP Lounges : Thailand's Transit Hotel at Suvarnabhumi Airport (dayrooms-ciplounges.com) Telephone: +66-2-134-6565-6E-Mail: [email protected] more information: [email protected]
  7. Maybe staff are suspected of pocketing your cash, hence no cash policy.

  9. I opened an account with HSBC Jersey(Expat) earlier in the year, It was extremely easy to open remotely requiring only British Passport and Bank Statement with Thai Address in English. I went to my Kasikorn branch to get the address changed to English and printed out and stamped (like you would for immigration) They did ask for my Thai Tax number though at some point during process. Also check out CIM Banque in Switzerland, but they wanted some Notarizations, so I didnt go further with them.
  10. You will already be approved by the time you collect your stamp.. No reason why they shoudl reject for a simple oversight. The worrying thing is that they will know you have 399000 Baht in the bank and more than capable of paying a few baht to fix your transgression ???? I have never actually been asked to show the bank book on collection, so don't volunteer it..
  11. It will be full of crooks very quickly queuing up to take your money.

  16. I tried and it was blocked on Kasikorn Credit Card, the bank told me it was due to Bank of Thailand rules. This was Binance also..
