Interesting topic, I go back almost 20 years and when visiting rural Thailand it was very rare you would bump into another farang and they were desperate to talk to you, now farangs are everywhere in rural Thailand and they don't speak to each other :-)

I think we are all to some degree economic migrants, except many of us are illegal immigrants based solely on the fact we do not meet the legal requirements of having the 800K in the bank and use illegal means to remain. They got the job done for me for child first passport application and made it all easy but I was furious when I learned they sat on the application for over a month before actually doing anything, passports were taking months to process and this additional and unwarranted delay caused no end of problems for me.
