It just depends if you speak thai. there is a string of karakoe bars along some lonely road not too far from the night bazzar where you can find a constant stream of them fresh ones from the village, but dont even bother if you dont speak thai and dont know how to play....

and lastly.... if you have a European car with tinted windows, just cruise slowly by one of the universities around 4pm and roll down the window halfway when you see one you like and watch what happens....

Best program I ever had was a holistic homestay program up in Pai.

You basically stay at the house of a couple at the hotsprings and they cook and care for you and provide you with colonic bags and daily support and guidance.

I think its wonders better than some resort/detox machine. but then again there are 2 different schools depending on what you need.

I can't help you about Thailand, but I would want to ask you why you want to have all the transactions taking place in Thailand?? If you are able, why not just open a USA bank account. Or if you are not able to, or you don't want to, why not open an offshore personal bank account. You can open such accounts with several major banks in HK, SG and elsewhere, totally over the internet without ever having to meet them in person. I've been with Citibank HK for over 10 years and have a multi-currency account, ATM cash card, and a credit card, and even decent online banking service. No taxes, and no regular banking fees.

It's not required to incorporate a company in the offshore jurisdiction, but it is recommended. If the taxman finds out you have an offshore account they will investigate you. If i'm correct, it's illegal for US citizens to have an offshore bank account without reporting it to the IRS.

It's best to incorporate a company (IBC or something like that) in an offshore jurisdiction with strict bank secrecy law (panama) and non-public company register (belize).

Never ever pay your personal bills directly by using your offshore account, and never ever wire money between your US or European account and the offshore account.

For HongKong accounts a deposit of 10k is necessary. For Panama and Belize (much much better and safer) it's around 1k

So...

what I need to do is

Setup a USD account here in LOS that will receive wire transfers in USD (and not get charged %)

And on this same account have a Debit Card in USD that can be taken by Adwords USA and other online advertisers. (and not charged stupid foreign %)

I basically need to get the Money-In Money Out Arbitrage system going with little loss as if I was doing it in the US.

She should ask the US bank if they can wire funds instead of sending paper checks. If they say okay the funds can be wired to New York branch of Bangkok Bank using its ABA routing number with instructions to deposit in wife's account, which she will provide. Bangkok Bank branch in New York then sends to her branch and account in Thailand. Conversion to baht is done in Thailand.

I send money to Thailand by this means from my brokerage account all the time but

transfer fees are involved.

if you want s real salary, you need to goto Sing or HK

on the other hand, there are some expats that do various website and application development and would be happy to pay you 20-50k a month +entertainment for your work....

My Thai wife receives Checks from a US bank drawn for USD periodically mailed to her from the States.

Currently in order to deposit these, we need to go into Bangkok Bank and wait while they run in circles for 1/2 hour and then pay some fee and maybe in 30+ days the money shows up in THB at whatever exchange rate they please

I would like a way to improve this process.

TOday I went to Bank of Adyutha because I heard they have USD dollar accounts.

After a broken conversation with the branch manger, it seems that even though they have USD accounts, there is still the same issue with having to run in circles and wait a long time to deposit the checks

What I would like to know is there any solution in Thailand (or even neighboring country if we could automate the process)

That will make depositing these USD checks quicker and less cumbersome.
