False news, the only places missing the Chinese are big restaurants like Nam Sing Bird’s Nest Restaurant in Pattaya where they are ferried and who mainly cater to the Chinese and their bad manners. The majority of the local shops & bars never see them.

Obviously the Chinese don't want to quarantine for 14 days and who can blame them but rules are rules so either scrap all the quarantine requirements or it's 14 days like every other country that has quarantine requirements, below are yesterdays figures for testing positive as reported in Thai Visa 

> Six Thai soldiers who returned on September 22 from a UN mission in South Sudan (they were found positive on day 11).

> A 54-year-old Thai businessman who came home on September 22 from Myanmar and went into state quarantine in Tak (found positive on day 13).

> A 36-year-old man who returned from Hong Kong on September 23 and is in state quarantine in Bangkok (found positive on day 11). He appears to have caught Covid-19 again as his health history shows he first got infected on August 2.

> A 31-year-old Thai man who came home from the US on October 1 and went into Bangkok state quarantine (found positive on day 6), and two Americans, aged 21 and 40, who arrived on September 29 and 30 and went into alternative hotel quarantine in Bangkok (found positive on day 5 and day 4, respectively).

> Two Indian businessmen, aged 39 and 41, who arrived on September 23 and 30 respectively and went into alternative hotel quarantine in Bangkok (found positive on day 12 and day 4, respectively).

> Two Bangaladeshis – a 53-year-old doctor and 26-year-old student – who arrived on September 30 and went into alternative hotel quarantine in Bangkok and Pathum Thani respectively. (Both were found positive on day 5).

Taking the above figures into consideration what are the so called experts basing the requirement for shortening the quarantine time frame and it being safe ............???? I repeat either scrap it altogether or it should be 14 days IMO

So it’s ok for everyone else but not for the rich entrepreneurs and foreign investors. It inconveniences everyone not just the wealthy, as does Covid affect everyone equally. It’s not selective. 
 

What’s up with everyone being tested at their country of origin and again in Thailand and forget the mandatory quarantine, if it’s considered safe to do that for business people. 

Totally agree with all of the above, the problem for the government is they want to have control over everyone but relax the rules when it suits them e.g. Chinese visitors, business people; basically they want their cake & eat it but can't fathom out how to do it. As mentioned by Kadilo above, the rich have the same chance of being infected or carrying this disease ....!!!

Another question is if all these tourists are obeying the rules and regulations as we are led to believe, surely some of their paperwork will be out of date given the time frame that medical fit to fly and covid checks etc. as per government directives ...LOL

Another misleading headline, the only thing preventing the beach run establishments opening is purely the lack of tourists, I do believe all beaches are open .....................LOL

That equates to around 4,000 tourists a week for the last 12 weeks of the year. They'll have to greatly increase the number of passenger flights allowed in to meet that target. And can the ASQ system handle them, in spite of the nonsense about dropping quarantine, only the lunatic fringe in the Tourism ministry would actually consider that a realistic option. 

Unfortunately the only people who will be exempt from quarantine will be the ones who started the whole thing in the first place .....!!!
