  2. Been watching those rumours today on FB myself but nothing concrete enough to post hence not worth translating but definitely RHD
  3. Aion Hyper GT apparently has the lowest drag coefficient of any production car in the world with a CD of 0.197. It starts at $30,600 in China. You can get it with a 70.1kWh 2 minute swappable LFP battery with 600km CLTC range
  4. In daylight ( doesn’t need bright sun) the solar panel powers the electricity motor which turns a chain drive to turn the paddles. I leave in running. quality issues. The supplied chain drive stretched and ended up jumping the sprocket. After adjusting it a few times I swapped the chain for a stainless heavy duty one.
  5. This is the aerator I bought on Lazada e: https://www.lazada.co.th/shop/ton-solarcell/
  6. Preventing lung cancer is woke? You don't need to buy an EV The charge applies to gasoline cars generally first registered before 2006 and diesel cars registered before October 2015.
  7. If you drive an older, polluting car anywhere in London, starting today you’ll have to pay a princely charge of £12.50 ($15.70) per day. In 2019, the British capital became the first city in the world to introduce a round-the-clock Ultra Low Emission Zone, inside which cars and other vehicles have to meet tough emissions standards or face a toll. That followed the implementation of road pricing in 2003 aimed at reducing congestion in central London. The tolls and fines fund a scrappage program - grants of up to £2,000 ($2,517) to every Londoner with a car or motorcycle that doesn’t comply with ULEZ standards. The ULEZ was expanded in 2021 and today it is widened again, this time to cover the city’s outer boroughs and suburbs. The charge applies 24/7 to gasoline cars generally first registered before 2006 and diesel cars registered before October 2015. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/08/28/cars/ulez-expansion-london-vehicle-emissions/index.html The CDC have said that diesel exhaust, and other air pollution are a high cause of lung cancer in non smokers after secondhand smoke and Radon gas https://www.cdc.gov/cancer/lung/nonsmokers/index.htm A ULEZ should be introduced in Thai cities like Bangkok if people were given enough notice and financial support together with an increased investment public transport. Do you agree?
  8. Valid point, but I think you can rule out the manual transmission (MT) Celerio for a like for like comparison. If assembled in Thailand with the Government subsidy it would be no contest. I bought my wife a new Suzuki Swift as her first car - a truly horrible car to drive IMHO. She said she would have chosen the Volt City EV over the swift if she had had the choice.
  9. Popped into my local Robinson to see a couple of cheap and cheerful EVs. Small on the outside and roomy on the inside. The Wuling Air EV is based on the China’s best selling EV the the Wuling mini EV. Wuling is a joint venture between SIAC motors that owns MG and General Motors. They are assembled in Indonesia and so won’t be getting any government incentives.
  10. As previously posted GAC Aion, China’s third-largest EV maker plans to build a factory in Thailand to serve the Asean market. On August 21, GAC Aion's first exported vehicles, 100 units of the Aion Y Plus, were loaded onto a ship at Guangzhou's Nansha Port and began shipping to Thailand's Port of Laem Chabang, the company announced today. The Aion Y Plus vehicles are GAC Aion's right-hand drive version built specifically for the Thai market and have been certified by local transportation authorities, according to the company. Aion did not announce prices for the right-hand drive edition of Y Plus in Thailand. The pure electric sport-utility vehicle starts at 119,800 yuan (฿576,000) in China
  11. I have stopped answering questions until I've checked what others have written. Nothing to add - good job all.
  12. I made a video about integrating V2L with a home solar inverter. They are designed to accept AC power inputs from the grid or a generator.
  13. BYD Seagull an affordable mini electric car, coming to Thailand soon. Starts at $10,000 in China. Good review video just surprised he didn’t mention the pink interior, hopefully there are other colour choices
  14. Are you off-grid or can you use PEA to top up your solar system? I installed an energy monitor which shows me energy usage in real time. So I can switch on an air con and see how much power is being used. I made a video about how it works
  15. Agreed the MG HS is a great car and great value for money. The PHEV version IMHO is even better
  16. Currently all Tesla cars for China’s domestic market, S.E.A. and Aus/NZ come from Giga Shanghai where the vast majority of cars produced are LFP powered standard range model Ys and 3s - no Nickel required. LFP is soon to be replaced with CATL’s even more efficient M3P chemistry - again no Nickel. I am wondering how important Nickel is going to going to be in the Tesla’s future plans. Nickel prices in 2023 have been between $20,000 - $30,000/T
  17. Tesla to build battery factory in Indonesia “Tesla is planning to build a factory in Indonesia to produce battery materials, according to a senior politician. An announcement is expected to be made in the coming months. However, there will probably not be a Tesla vehicle plant in the country for the time being.” https://www.electrive.com/2023/08/15/tesla-to-build-battery-factory-in-indonesia/ When Tesla was looking for a location for a vehicle plant in S.E.A. Thailand was hopeful that it would be chosen, but Indonesia with it’s rich Nickel resources seemed to beat out Thailand. However, after years of tough negotiations and some premature announcements from Indonesian officials it seems no location has been chosen yet. Maybe Tesla will decide to follow a number of Chinese EV manufacturers and set up a vehicle plant in Thailand after all.
  18. ok - I'll give you that one, can you put the engine in the hub so I don't need a chain?
  19. Again with the unsupported statements Your last one was How was your test drive in the Neta V? I would be interested in your informed opinion. How about a station wagon?
  20. Thinking of buying a Tesla Model 3? Don’t! Better to wait for the all new Model 3 Highland. Rumors are circulating that Tesla is planning to rev up the base battery of its Model 3 from a 60 kWh to a 66 kWh battery pack, promising a 10% boost to the EV's driving range. The upgraded battery is reportedly the result of a collaboration with CATL, utilizing their brand new M3P lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs. It’s claimed that the Shanghai factory has already stopped making the old model and sales of the far cheaper to manufacture project highland will start in October.
  21. As ICE motorbikes go yes the Honda Click is very reliable, that’s the reason I bought it, but to say it’s the most reliable bike on the planet shows you are not up to date with developments. Our new electric bike has a sealed hub motor, that requires no maintenance. There is no chain to lubricate, adjust or replace as drive happens at the rear wheel. There is no tiny 12v lead acid battery to start the motor and run flat if the bike is not used for a couple of weeks, like happens to our click. The battery on the electric bike is Lithium Ion with far more capacity.
  22. You clearly don’t drive an EV or you would know that’s not true. I have driven an EV in Thailand for over 2 years now and never had any problems. You can buy a Neta V EV in Thailand for ฿549,000, but maybe you think that’s expensive.
