The Ora Lightning Cat now called the 07 was the 10th best selling EV and we haven’t really talked about it much here. Paul Tan’s review is pretty comprehensive ”This car has gone by many many names over the last 2 years, it has been called the Ora Sport, Ora Lightning Cat, the Grand Cat, the Flash Cat, the Next Cat or as some people have called it the Copy Cat” -

“EV sales are collapsing” or so we keep getting told, but EVs now outsell Diesel in many countries https://cleantechnica.com/2024/01/19/in-2203-electric-cars-outsold-diesel-cars-in-europe/ But what about Thailand? EVs in Thailand Q1 2023 14,717 Q1 2024 22,289 + 8,171 + 51.4% -

If solar power is puny how can I power a 450m2 house and 2 EVs without PEA/MEA? You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. -

What are you saying? EVs are only for old ladies and kids? If so you are again showing your ignorance of EVs. My new Seal AWD does 0-100kph in 3.8 seconds -

EV sales are taking off, shows what little you know about the subject: Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sales in Thailand surged by 603% year-on-year to 73,568 units last year, with the upward trend expected to continue throughout this year, as per the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI). https://aseannow.com/topic/1321870-thai-ev-sales-surge-by-603-amid-government-incentives/ Solar is also growing a rapid rate, just open your eyes next time you go into a DIY store like Thaiwasadu As for your “peasants” comment, electric motorbike sales are expanding with shops popping up everywhere. Solar is also very common now for moving water on farms As for your “nonsense” comment you can achieve payback in 5 years which is a 20% return on your investment. -

Interesting video comparing the Premium and Performance Seal with the reviewer having driven both 500km back to back. There is also some comments about how each car compares to the it’s equivalent Tesla (RWD and LR) but many comments are more relevant to Malaysia. At 31:30 he talks about the far higher regen level in the AWD due to having 2 electric motors which I hadn’t thought about before. -

These figures are definitely under reported. In our village alone we have one death and one in ICU. One guy was fishing in a pond thinking that the water would keep him cool not realizing that the sun was reflecting off the water and he was getting a double dose. He had a heart attack and was very fortunate to be pulled out before he drowned. He is the one in ICU. The other case is very tragic, an old guy was out in his field alone burning the stubble when he was overcome by the heat. His burned body was found later by his family. I am fortunate to have solar so have dedicated a room with aircon for our 5 dogs all month. I have been living in Thailand for 20 years and this is the hottest I’ve ever seen it.- 91 replies
