  1. Unfortunately I wasn't so lucky when I visited a Samsung Service centre. I had a problem with my phone where I couldn't hear what the person calling was saying but they could hear me. I took the phone to a service centre and they replaced a part, charged me just over 1k and said it came with a six month warranty. A week later I had exactly the same problem again so I took it back. I was told that it was now a major problem, would cost 5x as much to fix and I would lose all my data. When I asked why it wasn't being repaired for free under the warranty I was told because its a different problem. So, displays exactly the same characteristics but now its a different problem?

    AI

Earlier today I was looking at the description of an hotel on Agoda. At the end of the description, there was the following sentence "[Some content may be Generative AI assisted. Inaccuracies may occur.]" Does this now mean that if you book an hotel and when you arrive you find it doesn't match its description that there is no comeback on the hotel, they just tell you, tough, it was AI generated so it's not our fault? Why on earth would they need an AI generated description in the first place? Surely they know what amenities they have and what the rooms look like?
  3. No idea, ask arick, he posted it, I just replied to him. No idea why it would show me as the poster.
  4. My guess is (and it's only a guess) that all online notifications are handled at the same place and a central database gets updated. If you look at the rejection notice I received, it was dated 31st of August, which was a Saturday, and Khonkaen immigration doesn't open on a Saturday
  5. I use Khonkaen when I attend in person but when you submit online it doesn't specify a particular office.

  7. Yes, 2022 in the Na Klang area which is in Nong Bua Lamphu province.
  8. But still too complicated for you to comprehend - the jilted boyfriend killed the man, he didn't kill the woman. Although the fact that the story refers to the dead man as being the husband and also the ex-husband doesn't help.

  10. A few strokes of the rotan is the least of his worries if he's been smuggling meth.
  11. Maj Gen Chalermchai Wirunpeth is named in the full story at https://tna.mcot.net/english-news-1421440 in fact, he's the only one that's named.
  12. Where was it reported that there was debris on the road?
  13. " When the rescue divers arrived, they quickly developed a plan." "As they were about to execute their plan, a military camouflage sleeve emerged from the water before quickly disappearing." I guess we'll never get to know what their cunning plan was.
  14. Can I remind you that an exclamation mark ends a sentence and the next word, in this instance 'because', should start with a capital letter. As a pedant I'm sure you'll appreciate my pointing this out.
  15. Whilst I think the whole thing is a storm in a teacup, the idea that the leader of the country doesn't understand the procedure for declarations after how many years as an mp is laughable (or very worrying, take your pick).
  16. Yes, I know that Herpes Zoster is the correct name for shingles, did you miss the part in my post where I said I looked it up? The point was about my thinking I had Herpes, it wasn't about the doctor's mastery or not of English.
  17. Didn't he previously promise to build a wall and have Mexico pay for it?
  18. I first had shingles around 10 years ago, I didn't know what it was at the time so I went to a private hospital in Khonkaen where a young lady doctor took one look at the rash and said "I know what that is, it's Herpes Zoster". All I heard was the "Herpes" part and all pain from the shingles disappeared as I thought about the prospect of having herpes. Meanwhile, the doctor was chatting away with my wife, so I interrupted her and asked her to say it again. No change, it's Herpes Zoster, so at that point I engage Mr Google and see that it's actually shingles. I wasn't sure whether to laugh or slap the doctor for telling me I had herpes. Really severe pain for just over a week and then another 4 weeks for it to clear up, since then I have had it two more times but never as bad as the first one. The rash had started at my groin and then travelled around to my back. According to my wife, the wise people of the village called it "moo sawat" and said that if the rash made a complete circle around my waist I would drop dead. Not sure if that was just wishful thinking on her part.
  19. Depends on your age, I've got another year before I am eligible.
  20. Suthee - what are you doing here? (With apologies to Harry Corbett).
  21. So he couldn't hear the clip clearly but he knows its old and irrelevant? Yeah, right.
  22. That isn't an investigation, it's just guesswork.
  23. Ok, but maybe this time it really is different. "MGM, which is set to manage an entertainment resort in Dubai, has set up a base in Thailand and was one of a number of firms that spoke with a Thai parliamentary committee looking into legalising casinos" https://www.straitstimes.com/business/galaxy-mgm-are-said-to-explore-opening-casinos-in-thailand All the other years did any of the major players actually set up a base here? Can't remember when exactly, but a year or so ago there was an article on here regarding an advert placed through the Thai labour office about MGM recruiting Thai nationals to travel to MGM's casino in Macau and train as croupiers plus other positions associated with the industry. Maybe MGM believe it's really going to happen this time?
  24. Well he may have been deemed dishonest by an activist group but surely you have to actually prove it before you can remove the PM?
  25. Didn't see anyone dancing in the streets where I live in Khonkaen. Didn't even see anyone smiling, let alone dancing.
