Will pepper spray stop dog attacks
impulse replied to georgegeorgia's topic in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
I bought my collapsible batons, pepper spray, illegal pellet rifles and legal airsoft pistols in Chinatown on these alleys marked in red. Across the street from Khlong Thom market. That was before Covid. (I gave away the illegal stuff (pellet guns and some big honking machetes) when I found out people were getting arrested for having them. Many of the kiosks that sell them are still there, but they're a little more discrete about displaying their illegal wares. There was a crackdown a few years ago. You have to look below the top shelf to find the goodies. If you spend a few minutes perusing their legal stuff, they may steer you to the stash... Where that alley hooks into Yawarot (sp?) has a row of shops with the nastiest looking selection of stuff you'd want if you ever got into a knife fight. They also have batons. There used to be a nearby row of shops selling amped up airsoft guns and accessories on Thanon Wiwat Wiang, but it looks like they never came back after Covid. -

I know it's widely available, and I used to carry it when I worked in Bangkok. But is pepper spray legal on LOS? There are lots of products sold in the wide open light of day that are actually illegal in Thailand. I'd hate to be on the Thai news with my face blurred, pointing at my can of pepper spray, and the headline reads "Netizens condemn foreigner for torturing local dogs with illegal pepper spray". -
Apparently, he's caught some attention from Fox News: https://www.foxnews.com/video/6361765198112 Interesting what Tyrus says about him. Personally, I'm a fan of his acting.

Nobody seems to remember that the guy is still president. When even Jen Psaki wonders if he's okay. When Israel is facing an existential threat and WW3 and nuclear annihilation is a distinct danger in Europe, we've got a president whose own DOJ has declared unfit to stand trial because he's an old guy with a bad memory.

I, on the other hand, think he'll be remembered for the $$trillions of dollars it will cost to clean up his messes on immigration and the economy. We'll be paying for decades.

Speaking of the idiot Musk, and throwing in some Russkie red meat, here's a fun one: Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk is on track to become the world’s first dollar trillionaire by 2027, according to the global education company Informa Connect Academy. The projection published on Friday is based on Musk’s average annual wealth growth rate, which stands at 109.88%. https://www.rt.com/news/603696-musk-set-to-become-first/ Maybe he's not an idiot?

But there were mean tweets. No new wars, great economy, border under control. But those mean tweets...

Makes it tough to catch her in a fib, eh? Maybe her campaign slogan should be "Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies".

Stupid answer of the day here! Please post the definition of ignorant. Not the pejorative or the insult. The definition.

I didn't follow the progress of the storm after it made landfall. Did it fizzle out, or did it continue west? I think the rain that Crossy's map is showing over the Laos/Myanmar border is the remnants of the storm that hit land near Hanoi. But I'm not even sure of the topography from there. It could be big trouble in a week or so... BTW, when we operated offshore oil platforms off of Songkhla, I found Windy.com to be a better forecast than the high dollar weather service we paid for.

Seriously? He dissed every Marvel movie. I agree with him on a lot of them. But I at least started watching them, even if I didn't make it through the first half hour of many.

By definition, if you know nothing of Bautista, you're ignorant. Nothing wrong with that. We're all ignorant of 99.9% of the world we live in and the people in it. But, to be proud of it?

What's the criteria for the 600 EU? Does a 4-6 hour delay trigger it? I'm curious, not dubious. Almost need a scorecard to see what went on. Best I can figure, their flight was cancelled and the passengers who had booked and paid for their tickets through other airlines were able to find help and get rebooked, while 30 passengers who booked (and paid) through Thai Airlines couldn't find a Thai counter to get help. It's also not clear whether it was a Thai Airlines flight that was cancelled, or a codeshare flight. (Edit: Am I missing something? I've been wrong before...) Irritating as it is, that's largely the nature of international flying nowadays. I've had similar happen to me about once every 20 journeys, especially with codeshares. Sucks, and I hope they do get fairly compensated... But not tragic.

Latest carmaker to scale back its EV ambitions amid slowing sales
impulse replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The problem, of course, is that the majority of their customers are dinosaurs, too. Not much good can come of building more EV's than they can sell at a price where they can make a profit. -

That may be true, but you have made some false statements about who can get an SSN. That doesn't help your argument. -
