  1. You're missing the big point, and I think that's on purpose. Focus attention on a ridiculous meme, and they'll miss the real tragedy. Springfield, with 60,000 residents has absorbed 15-20,000 Haitian immigrants, with no warning. That has overwhelmed their police, their healthcare, and other city services, whether they ate the geese from the local park or not. Most Haitians have never owned a car, and now, they need to drive to get around. (Ohio law doesn't require a road test for drivers over 18) That's causing all kinds of traffic problems (including a fatality), and some locals claim their car insurance rates are skyrocketing. (Imagine turning 15,000 Thai left side drivers loose on a small town where everyone drives on the right) https://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/springfield-mayor-investigation-into-businesses-immigration-continues/W4OJQYSNUBF7JCMSD72VVQGNQI/ https://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/springfield-leaders-discuss-growing-haitian-population-with-federal-government/EJWXEEGK2ZFN7N66GWPOPMDP2A/ https://www.springfieldnewssun.com/local/dewine-says-to-focus-on-challenges-from-number-of-immigrants-in-springfield-not-rumors/S5HDM4BIDZC47BEIWMDNBXZ6CU/ https://apnews.com/article/springfield-ohio-haitian-influx-governor-dewine-f5a552d7ebc6e246882dca96a39a3aaa
  2. Are you trying to prove you dont know diddly? Just demonstrating how fast the lefties change the goalposts. A few months ago, I would have been called out for claiming Biden was on perpetual vacation (much less putting Biden and dementia in the same sentence). Now, it's okay that he's on perpetual vacation. There are others running the country.
  3. Thanks for that. I'm staying where Google Maps is blocked.
  4. Are there any websites posting realtime maps of the flooding situation, like they had during the 2011 floods?
  5. Quick question... With Biden on dementia leave perpetual vacation, and Harris practicing for the debate, who was running the country?
  6. Maybe true, but people go to Big C to buy stuff. They go to the malls to hang out, wander around, drink coffee, gawk at the cuties, and eat. And for the free A/C. Unless the malls have a Gourmet Market in the basement, you still have to go somewhere else to buy groceries. I usually leave the malls carrying nothing, even if I did have coffee and eat. I can't remember ever leaving a Big C without a couple of bags.
  7. If you pass a law that allows viable (if not full term) fetuses to be aborted, and then don't protect the infants who survive the abortion once they're born, are you not allowing abortions after birth? That's what my link showed. It has happened. But the most egregious violation by the moderator is making that hit and run statement just before muting Trump's mic. I thought it was up to the candidates to support their position, not the moderators. Looked more like a 3 on one tag team than a fair debate.
  8. That would be a good thing for the MSM to actually check out and report on, wouldn't you think? Unless they wouldn't like the answer...
  9. Just out of curiosity, what percentage of the crypto projects have gone tits up? And has Bitcoin outlived tulip bulbs?
  10. Walz, however, signed an omnibus bill in 2023 that allowed physicians to refuse life-saving care to infants born after failed abortions. Twenty-four abortion procedures between 2015 and 2022 led to live births, according to Minnesota Department of Health records. Of the infants born alive during abortion procedures between 2015 and 2022, medical professionals provided seven with “comfort care” in an attempt to make their deaths more comfortable whereas “no specific steps taken to preserve life were reported” in one 2017 case, the National Catholic Register reported. https://dailycaller.com/2024/09/11/abc-debate-moderators-fact-check-ignores-what-tim-walzs-state-can-do-to-infants-born-alive-after-attempted-abortions/ “First of all, city officials have not said it’s not true. They said they don’t have all the evidence,” Vance said. “We’ve heard from a number of constituents on the ground Kaitlan, with first hand and second hand reports saying this stuff is happening. So they, very clearly, meaning the people on the ground dealing with this, think it is happening, and I think that it’s for journalists to actually get on the ground and uncover this stuff for themselves when you have people on the ground saying ‘my pets are being abducted, or geese at the city pond are being abducted and slaughtered right in front of us.’ https://dailycaller.com/2024/09/11/jd-vance-media-migrant-crisis-cat-memes/
  11. And that's what's going to make the debate win pretty much meaningless, after the initial sting. Americans did not get to see what they tuned in to see- a discussion of Harris's policy and what both of the candidates plan to do for them.
  12. What facts did they add?
  13. I love this guy's characterization: In this installment of Rocky, a communist beat up an orange guy. Trump failed to do what no man has ever done: win an argument with a woman. With ABC loaded up to fact check Trump but not Kamala, it was clear that David Muir and Linsey Davis teamed up with Kamala. To see more 3-on-1 action, you’d have to switch from ABC to the porn channel. Somehow the “moderators” were able to call the police chief in Springfield, Ohio, in real time to fact check Trump on Haitians eating dogs there. But they could not bring themselves to ask Kamala about her likely lie that she worked at McDonald’s. https://dailycaller.com/2024/09/11/hart-kamala-harris-donald-trump-debate-abc-david-muir/
  14. The problem, of course, is that if they did all that stuff, they'd never get any work because their price would be higher. I've been in hundreds of Thai buildings with excellent craftsmanship, top to bottom. So the skills are available. But are they affordable at the household level?
  15. Why would you need to change the gender on your driver's license to vote? What a bunch of drivel.
  16. Here's the rest of that story, from JD Vance (of Ohio) to CNN: VANCE: Well, first of all, city officials have not said it’s not true. They said they don’t have all the evidence. We have heard from a number of constituents on the ground with first-hand and second-hand reports saying this stuff is happening. So they very clearly, the people on the ground dealing with this, believe that it is happening. And I think it is important for journalists to actually get on the ground and uncover this stuff for themselves. When you have a lot of people saying, ‘My pets are being abducted, or geese at the city pond are being abducted and slaughtered’…This is crazy stuff. And whether these exact rumors turn out to be mostly true, somewhat true…Kaitlin, this town has been ravaged by 20,000 migrants coming in: health care costs are up, housing costs are up, communicable diseases like HIV and TB have skyrocketed in this small Ohio town. This is what Kamala Harris’s border policies have done. And I think it is interesting, Kaitlin, that the media did not care about the carnage brought by these policies until we turned it into a meme about cats, and that speaks to the media’s failure to care about what’s going on in these communities.
  17. If the first few pages of the executive summary are correct, it's worse than that. The Doha agreement called out conditions to be met before leaving. The conditions were not being met, but Biden made the choice to withdraw anyway. No way he can legitimately blame that on Trump. Of course, if you read only the MSM, everything bad that's happened since 2015 is Trump's fault. The Biden-Harris administration was determined to withdraw from Afghanistan, with or without the Doha Agreement and no matter the cost. Accordingly, they ignored the conditions in the Doha Agreement, pleas of the Afghan government, and the objections by our NATO allies, deciding to unilaterally withdraw from the country.
  18. She did. But that's not surprising given that it looked more like a tag team event than a one on one debate.
  19. Investigation by the city’s Immigrant Accountability Response Team formed in October of 2023 has revealed the possibility “there were companies that knew they were going to make an effort to bring in individuals who were crossing the border based on federal regulations that they could do that,” Rue said. “I’m upset at the fact we didn’t get a chance to have an infrastructure in place if there were going to be 20,000 more people from 2020 to 2025. We didn’t get to do that.” https://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/springfield-mayor-investigation-into-businesses-immigration-continues/W4OJQYSNUBF7JCMSD72VVQGNQI/ Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine said Tuesday he doesn’t oppose the Temporary Protected Status program under which some 15,000 Haitians have arrived in the city of about 59,000 people since 2020, but said the federal government must do more to help impacted communities. https://apnews.com/article/springfield-ohio-haitian-influx-governor-dewine-f5a552d7ebc6e246882dca96a39a3aaa The number of migrants varies depending on the source... The county has more people than the city proper.
  20. Politicians fib. They embellish, they ignore inconvenient information, they exaggerate, they skew statistics to make themselves look good. We're fine with that. It's been going on for 250 years. Americans aren't looking for a saint. Take Bill Clinton. Horrible morals, but a pretty good president. Unlike Carter. Extremely moral man, who was a disaster in the White House. Americans are looking for someone to get us out of the morass that has gotten so much worse in the past 3-1/2 years. Which is what Trump should have focused on. He wouldn't need a plan to deport 10 million illegals if they hadn't been let in by the border czar. Nobody needed to announce a plan for Ukraine or Israel or WW3 after the Trump years. I'm disappointed that Trump took the bait. But I'm not surprised, given that the ABC moderators were anything but neutral in their extended leadups to many of the questions. And Kamala reminds me of the people I've encountered in my career that are great at getting jobs and wangling promotions. But they're horrible at actually doing the job. I can't think of a single place that was better for Kamala having worked there. Border? Nope. California crime? Nope. Economy? Nope. Afghanistan, Ukraine and Israel? Nope.
  21. Wasn't that last month? And the month before... And the month before... And the... As I recall from the AN thread on the Easter Sunday debacle, there are around 240 "special days" on the LGBTQ+ calendar.
  22. seems like you are lying there. Yeah. I think the plan is to fire the deadwood and not replace them at all. Edit: To clarify, since it's almost impossible to fire a civil servant for being incompetent, the plan is to eliminate entire dead weight agencies.
  23. I see the ABC moderators are being fair and balanced. Not.
  24. It wasn't the city, but I was kayaking under the bridge on the River Kwai when I came on a coiled up snake that was easily as long as my 14' kayak. I couldn't tell if it was coiled around something it was going to eat, or coiled up because it just got run over by a longtail boat. Seeing it writhing in the clear water (and me right on the water in a tiny boat) spooked me from getting a closer look. Sucker was huge.
  25. You can't get any clicks if you don't have the video.
