  1. Tampa votes blue. Law enforcement and public safety are largely under the remit of local policies. Need I say more? https://www.politico.com/2020-election/results/florida/
  2. California also used to be. Now, U-Haul can't keep enough rolling stock in California.
  3. I guess that explains Idaho... Have you ever been to Idaho in the winter? Things must be pretty bad in the blue states for someone to move to Idaho.
  4. Vivek actually predicted it. He claimed that the objective was to eliminate all contenders aside from Trump and their preferred candidate, then double down on the legal attacks against Trump so their preferred candidate would be the one. I think DeSantis made a mistake here. If (when?) Trump gets taken out, his voters would be a lot more likely to migrate to DeSantis than to Haley. So being in 3rd place, down just a couple of points, didn't mean a loss. And a Trump exit is the only shot any of them (including Vivek) had.
  5. With over a billion people, perhaps there's someone named after 2 provinces (Qinghai and Shandong), but I find it unlikely that would be the one in the news. That would be like a guy named California Texas. If that's what his ID says, I'd be looking to see if it's genuine.
  6. Yeah. I miss the mean tweets. Sadly, there's a political belief that voters are reluctant to switch leaders during time of war. So the timing would fit...
  7. You mean the state with one of the highest population growths in the US. The one that attracts so many people leaving their blue disasters, to live the way they want? https://www.homesnacks.com/fastest-growing-states/ https://www.statista.com/chart/12484/population-growth-in-the-united-states-by-federal-state/ I suppose you'd prefer Newsom, whose state is losing population as people flee his policies? Why do ya figure so many people are leaving blue states to live in red ones?
  8. It's possible his passport expired and he now has a different passport number than the one on his DL. That was my situation...
  9. Maybe. Maybe not. Not hard to imagine some of the posters here are flying under the radar and wondering if they're at risk. More details would have been helpful.
  10. Lately, they're more akin to spoiler alerts.
  11. At the very least, the jury should know what year it happened...
  12. Sure. But when you throw $ trillions of tax dollars into the wind, it'll be years before we know if those investments paid out. Or whether it's just smoke, mirrors and buying votes. Maybe by the 2028 election, we'll have a clue. But not by November. After November, we should at least start getting credible numbers from the gub'ment agencies that publish those numbers. The ones scared to death of another Trump term.
  13. I'm discussing the jobs added reports. They've overstated almost every month in 2023. I quit paying attention to the unemployment numbers when 300,000 illegals walk in, 200,000 jobs are "created" and yet the unemployment numbers go down. That must be the new math. Not to mention the workforce engagement numbers showing more and more people who aren't even looking for a job. I kinda wonder if they're the ones taking advantage of blue cities decriminalizing shoplifting. When you can swipe $500 a day consequence free, who needs a job?
  14. With all the malicious, partisan driven prosecutions coming at him. I'm surprised the guy hasn't vapor locked already. Which looks like their plan... Exhaust the guy and force some errors. Contrast that with Biden who is handled at every turn and gets about 3-1/2 weeks off each month. And he still loses every encounter with a teleprompter, never mind the disasters off the cuff. But voters see through it and Trumps support and endorsements keep growing.
  15. Seems like the guy's ex is playing the role of a woman scorned, and is bringing the receipts. Literally...
  16. Of course he has. Usually debating with the teleprompter. It rarely goes well.
  17. You mean the trend that says some things are getting back to normal after the Orwellian way the gub'ment handled Covid? In fairness, that wasn't all Biden. But the buck stops at his desk. Just like it stopped at Trump's desk before him.
  18. She was the beneficiary of the people's money that she arranged to pay him. Big showstopper. Not only that, it goes to her ethics, and what other ethical tenets she'd be willing to cast aside. Clouds every case she's ever been involved in.
  19. You mean like they have had to quietly walk back their grand employment announcements just about every month in 2023?
  20. Good catch. That would be an interesting dilemma if he had to resign in the middle of a term.
  21. So is the percentage who are counted because so many have left the labor pool altogether. Not to mention 8 million illegals whose employment prospects are bleak, and not counted in the unemployed column. Some will be absorbed, but a huge number will be a decades long drain on gub'ment resources. Call me cynical, but I don't trust the gub'ment statistics in an election year when the numbers take a left turn in favor of the incumbent, whose party does the counting and the defining. Especially when the feeling on the ground doesn't match.
  22. And what's happened to credit card debt? 'Cause that's what the masses live by... A much better barometer for how the voters are feeling.
  23. You'll have to look for the original statement, but it's been pretty well squelched by the MSM. I'd look, but I'm at Swampy waiting for my flight. And any link that I'd post would get taken down. Because, though it's news right from Joe himself, it won't come from an approved source. The approved sources have long since scrubbed the video.
