  1. If you think electing Trump will achieve those outcomes - yes, you are stupid. If only there wasn't history that says he did it last time he was elected... I think Al Gore would refer to that as an inconvenient truth.
  2. Lots of unknowns, but I just read it was an AR style rifle, meaning more likely it was .223 than .22LR. If it was fired from over 100 yards away, the sound could be confused with a .22LR. From that distance, I doubt you'd hear a .22LR over the ambient noise of a speech.
  3. Ya figure it may have been Biden's statement of July 8: It’s time to put Trump in a Bullseye. Imagine what would be happening right now if Trump had made that statement, and Biden was attacked...
  4. I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) July 13, 2024 Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) July 13, 2024 On July 8, Biden said, “I have one job and that’s to beat Trump. I’m absolutely certain I’m the best person to be able to do that.” Biden continued, “So, we’re done talking about the debate. It’s time to put Trump in a Bullseye.” I wonder if Biden was acting in his official capacity when he said that? He may be real happy about that immunity thing. Here's the Biden link: https://edition.cnn.com/2024/07/08/politics/democrats-donors-biden-election/index.html You can look up the Elon Tweets
  5. Do you have to keep Kleenex near your keyboard? Just curious.
  6. The way I read it is that a huge percentage of the American voters believe a retarded, clownish, fascist, who has problems expressing a coherent thought in his mother tongue, and hides his shriveled mug behind an orange mask, would destroy the whole planet before he lets go of power/wealth, would run the country better than the Dems have been running it. I also think it's funny how grammar and punctuation and all sense of propriety go out the window when a lefty gets on a tear. I wonder if the keyboard gets spittle on it.
  7. Santa Fe is run by the Blues. Not hard to imagine, so is their cop shop... Then, there's this gem from the prosecutor: “I appreciate his movies. I appreciated the acting he did on Saturday Night Live, and I really appreciate his politics,” she said. She said she does not believe they let down Hutchins’ family. “We did everything humanly possible to bring justice to Halyna and to her family and we’re proud of the work we did,” she said. That, after her office screwed the pooch by withholding evidence. No shame... https://edition.cnn.com/2024/07/12/entertainment/alec-baldwin-trial-rust/index.html?iid=cnn_buildContentRecirc_end_recirc
  8. Hmmmm.... Alec Baldwin was filming his new movie "Rust" in Sante Fe, New Mexico, when the Sante Fe County Sheriff's Office said he discharged a prop gun that killed the film's cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, and injured the director, Joel Souza. What does all that Blue around Santa Fe mean on that CNN Map? Here's my links: https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/news/2021/10/22/where-alec-baldwin-movie-rust-filmed-new-mexico-bonanza-creek/6133080001/ https://edition.cnn.com/election/2020/results/state/new-mexico
  9. After the stellar performance at the debate and the botched attempt at salvation, I REALLY want to hear those Hur tapes, not just read the transcripts.
  10. Yeah, because Black folks are too dumb to get ID, at least according to Dems.
  11. I wonder if there was some other intervening event in his life that may have caused or exacerbated the myocarditis?
  12. I don't recall ever hearing that he was involved with, or even aware of staff members target shooting on the property with real ammo. I'm not saying that's false, and I quit following a week or 2 after it happened. But during the time I did follow it, I was looking for a definitive statement. Do you have a link? Not doubting you. Just curious.
  13. Or maybe not. The total worth of the five trees was estimated at more than 2 million baht. The trees were sold for 100,000 baht, and the buyer, Uthai Udomrak, transferred the money to the village account. I'm wondering if "the investor" had the requisite licenses to possess rosewood? And whether any of the Village People was riding around on a new scooter...
  14. On my way to the island where I live in the USA, there's a billboard advertising MRI's with a down payment of $1,500 and "easy monthly payments". I would definitely not suggest getting one of those without a compelling reason from a doctor. Even if it meant I'd have a baseline image like the ones that were handy in my case(s) this year. If MRI's cost $50, I'd get one every year just to see if there's any changes year on year. But that's not real world... I absolutely agree with you (and the doctors) that they're not cost effective at normal prices, and not recommended without a compelling need.
  15. I don't propose to discuss hypotheticals. Just what actually happened. In spite of mean tweets, I was pretty pleased with Trump's term. Just like I was pleased with Clinton's term, in spite of the lies and the mongering. Edit: Speaking of kissing the butts of bad people, how would you characterize this? President Trump reportedly looked directly at the Taliban leader and warned him, “If you harm a hair on a single American, I’m gonna kill you.” He then reached into his pocket, pulled out a satellite image of the Taliban leader’s home, handed it to him, and left the room without another word. “Sure enough, for 18 months, not a single American was killed in Afghanistan,” Hunt said. “That is the definition of strength; that’s what I’m talking about.” That's from a Sage Steele interview with Byron Donalds and Wesley Hunt, who probably should despise Trump if he's a racist. They're all Black.
  16. Just curious, what was so bad about his last term? Was it Putin staying in his lane, Hamas staying in Gaza, the nuclear clock staying still, inflation staying low, net illegal immigration going to zero, or what? Or just that syndrome that we're not allowed to mention?
  17. It never had bipartisan support. It did have a Repub in the group that authored the bill. So they deviously claimed it was a "bipartisan" bill. But it was DOA, with or without Trump's input.
  18. Regardless of how you feel about the guy, all the Dems would have had to do is allow him to primary fair and square. He would have been trounced, and unable to set up a run as an Independent. Instead, the Dems forced him to go into the spoiler mode. And now, the dirty tricks... But he'll still pull votes from whoever the Dem elite decide to run.
  19. Waited almost 30 years, until an election year. How convenient. And familiar.
  20. Is that more or less than Brandon Johnson spends? How about per linear inch of hair? Or by subjective results? I mean, the guy's pretty ugly, even done up. https://chicago.suntimes.com/columnists/2024/06/13/brandon-johnson-campaign-funds-haircuts-styling-makeup-costs-steinberg And did she use campaign money like he did? I'll bet most Chicagoans miss the Dems of their parents and grandparents. Crooked as they were, I lived in a great city as a kid, when Richard J Daley ruled the roost.
  21. Riddle me this... Before Covid, there were 158.0 million jobs. Last count, there were 161.6 million jobs, for a total of 3.6 million added jobs, almost 100% of them going to foreign born workers. Estimates of "newcomers" from the border mess run about 10 million, give or take. Yet, you're saying unemployment is down. Other than some kind of new math (or just making crap up for election year hype), how do you square that? Enquiring minds want to know... https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/LNU02000000
  22. You promise her the next Supreme Court appointment when one opens up. Scary times.
  23. The truly racist thing is DEI, discriminating against whites and Asians, based on their ethnicity, or their gender. Case in point: VP Trump. I mean Harris... Biden promised to install a black woman, and he did. Had he promised to install a white guy, he'd have been hung by the short and curlies. Because.... Diversity.
  24. You know what? Not our problem. We can't save the entire world, especially if our own economy is in tatters.
  25. Every time I go by the Chatuchak pet market, I'm reminded of the signs around western prairie dog colonies, warning of the risk of bubonic plague.
