AhFarangJa replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
While they are at it why not scrap the ban on Buddhist days too. A complete farce when you can go into just about any mom & pop shop and buy it.- 66 replies

Srettha's Support Dwindles as MFP Gains in Latest NIDA Poll
AhFarangJa replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I agree 100%. In fact I was going to post that when He was in immigration, and did what He did, it only drove more people down the agent route. I am also of the opinion that He is as much a xenophobe as A-nut-in & old Teflon. -

I never thought of that, thanks. Same as Big Joke when He was quoted as saying He thought the money in the bank should be 3 million to weed out undesirables. -

I agree, but A-nut-in is still a xenophobic racist that would not be good news for us. Alas, all we can do is watch, and hope. -
Thaksin Outmanoeuvred in Brother-in-Law’s Senate Bid: Analyst
AhFarangJa replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I too have been advised to do nothing, that they are after big Thai earners. I was also told that a certain group of people in the accounting business are hyping up the rhetoric to grab fees for filling out tax returns that are not yet needed. As you say do nothing, wait and see. -

Please read my post, and tell me where I say Civil War? I do believe I used the noun "Disturbance". A far cry from civil war. -

Thaksin Plans Electoral Changes to Counter Move Forward's Rise

That is my fear also. I keep telling the Wife, either civil disturbance, or a coup by December. I really hope I am proven to be wrong, but all the time this criminal keeps stoking the pot from the sidelines there will never be total peace. If He cannot win, then change the system in his favour, geez, you cannot make this up. Where are the lawmakers that are supposed to protect the Populus.....Rhetorical question.......Throw him in jail, and weld the door shut. -

If they respected public opinion, He would not even be in the Government. Did a certain other party not win the last election? As for democratic society......in Thailand........He would not know democracy if it weighed a ton, and landed on his head. -
Land Dept Revises Guidelines for Foreign Ownership of Land
AhFarangJa replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Judging by the quality and content of your replies to posts, and denigrating other members, I would think you never had any toys in the first place. For your information my post was not a whine, or drip, I am very, very comfortable here, and have been for more than 30 years, so I suggest you get back in your pram, suck your dummy, and consider lightening up on the other members of this forum, gooday Sir. -
Land Dept Revises Guidelines for Foreign Ownership of Land
AhFarangJa replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I have an idea for the British Government. Ban all Thai people from owning land and property in UK unless they meet the same requirements as here. Also, all Thai businesses in UK must be 51% owned by Brits. I wonder what this Government would say then? -
