  1. Well, I am glad they clarified that he was the one on the left in the photo, because it is hard to tell them apart..............
  2. Here is the first paragraph of the payment form...................... Applying for a passport from outside the UK Paying by Credit Card or Debit Card Please fill in the instruction below and include it with your passport application. A separate instruction should accompany each application. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Electron, Diners Club and JCB. You must ensure that you have checked with your card provider that your card is valid, for this international transaction, and that adequate funds are available As you mention Sandy, maybe looking to use a Thai card. As it is for applying for a passport outside U.K. I would imagine a visa card for example issued by a Thai bank would suffice.
  3. Forget the mouse for a minute, can anyone recognise what Thai dish the meal is supposed to be. To my eyes it look like chopped fried cockroaches, with crab shell, and ant eggs. Something tells me the Children's meal allowance for the school is being diverted to other things........
  4. To think that several years ago Farangs were banned from owning firearms as they were deemed not to be trustworthy.....
  5. I noticed that too, a stand for anti corruption collapsing..................just keep passing the brown envelopes.................
  6. I am not saying he does not deserve it, but if the victim was not a brother of a judge then what would the sentence be. The average seems to be 8 to 10 years, out in 4 or 5.
  7. LOL, yes, but I was thinking of other less salubrious elucidations......
  8. There are a lot of words for people like you, but I cannot use them on this forum.....
  9. I wonder if all the owners of the Thai fishing boats heard him, I doubt it.
  10. Maybe we will see the rise of bars like the Bulldog Bar in Amsterdam from the seventies. Walk in, and there used to be a large blackboard with all the different weeds and prices on it. Also, a Rizla machine in the corner that dispensed reefer sized papers........
  11. Er, Cambodia is on the east of Thailand, Myanmar on the west...........
  12. Firstly, I am happy to see all the children safe. Having said that I seriously wish to question his Thai driving skills if he missed a power pole.
  13. How many Deputy Managing Directors can you have in one place?
  14. Representatives from the BMA, the MEA, the EIT, and several other agencies with even more letters to their titles have pledged to do everything in their power to leave no stone unturned, to investigate, scrutinise, sweep, sift, rake with a fine tooth comb, to find who is ultimately responsible, and to ensure these incidents are brought to a head. Well.....they may do for about a week or so until some other failure creates a diversion. As another poster has mentioned, over the years there has been countless incidents of these tragedies, and nothing has been done. This time will be no exception. The officials in charge will just melt into the background, again, and again.........
  15. Could not have happened to a nicer fellow.
  16. I think that the standard of eye care, and perception is sadly lacking here now. I remember when I used to walk along past the bars I used to hear a chorus of "hello Hansum man", and " where you go, I come too" Now all I get is "Hello Pap, you need a chair"...................
  17. Accident aside, looking at the state of the "House" I would say the car added a slight improvement to the ambience and value.
  18. Reminds me of something.......................
  19. I talked it over with the other half as we had a lousy mango crop this year, a lot of fruit rotting from the inside., ( fruit fly I think). She said it takes 8 to 10 years to grow a durian from seed, and 4 to 6 years from a grafting.....( the latter took some time to translate, believe me!!) then is about 4 months for the fruit to ripen. So it is a long setting up process, possibly why the price is so high.
  20. Thai motorbike riders will continue to wear them instead of helmets.
  21. Exactly what I was thinking. Not only in Thailand though, the Governments around the world are not going to let this mass ascendancy out of their grasp. The pharmaceutical companies also wish this to continue for obvious reasons.
  22. Looking at the way the so called "sidecar" is fitted to the bike I doubt it could be controlled on a straight road, let alone a bend.
  23. Well, there goes his intelligence rating..............
