We are all different in how we respond to not smoking it anymore, i've never had a problem when i've packed it in over the years.

Nope never.

Bingo, i've been consuming since i was 15 yo and i'm now 73yo. In that time i've stopped smoking it numerous times for years at a time. Its not addictive, end of story.

Yes indeed they do and of course watering the paint down would make it easier to apply but without the thickness its no surprise it does'nt last long. I actually had the carport ceiling redone as i had a leak and the guy did'nt water down the paint, i watched him applying and it was more difficult to cover but only marginally. I'd imagine watering down means you don't use as much paint and consequently it does'nt cost so much so homeowners don't mind. Now is it recommended by the paint manufacturers to water it down ?

Thankyou, i'd hazzard a guess that the required preparation work is not being carried out to the necessary standard TIT and probaly the rest of the world lol ''If you skimp on primer the top coat peels off'' and that is what is happening to an area i lean on, its wearing off and i'm thinking there's not enough paint on here. I'm not one for standing over workmen but perhaps i should take more interest in what they are doing from time to time.

Now i'm shortly gonna need my house exterior painted, its the Thai traditional rendered walls. I'm no painter/Dec and never do myself so i have no experience. When painting should a primer/undercoat be first applied then 1 or 2 coats of top coat ? I previously have had done by way of a recco from friends but i'm not convinced the correct process is followed as i'm seeing signs of wear ie not enough paint being applied. Many thanks guys for any help.

Now that is great news and i would dearly like to inform HSBC of my residency in Thailand but i just fear that they would close my account. Its a PITA when my cards are up for renewal and my son has to send out to me and then because of the postal delay they are harassing me to validate them. I am aware of the fact if you don't use the CC a couple of times a year they will eventually cancel because of lack of use so i oblige by buying stuff online. I've a good mind to call them and ask what their policy is with long standing account holders living in Thailand not complying with their UK residents only policy but of course not disclosing my name lol
