But THESE PEOPLE as you kindly put it are not ALL electricians and have little or no knowledge of how a house should be wired me included. I bought a new house in 2007 from a very large local builder and trusted that they would do the job properly, i knew no different after living in Thailand for 3 months. Thats why in my home country the UK has proper regulations to ensure that new build houses are built to the required standard to protect the inhabitants from such things as electrocution. If Thailand's does'nt have the required regulations and ENFORCE them then THEY should accept responsibility for any such deaths imo Just sayin like lol PS - Having lived here for 17 years now i am fully aware of Thailands shortcomings but still get surprised EVERY DAY.

The ''end is nigh'', i cannot for the life of me understand why UK banks are closing expat accounts. What difference does it make to your account where you live in this day and age with online banking. All they need to do is prevent you from obtaining loans/overdrafts if you're not a UK resident. I have an account with HSBC and i maintain a healthy balance, what's the problem ?

I just pay mine through my Bangkok bank account, 159bht per month.

My experience a few years ago was as soon as i informed the DWP of my Thailand address the HMRC was advised by the DWP of my new Thailand address. It made no difference to my access to the UK Government Gateway which i previously had with my English address.

I had the spray foam done on a section my car port roof some 10 years ago because it was leaking by a Bangkok firm (they advertised in the BP) who traveled to my province. It never solved the problem.......

Sorry to hear that, i had none of those issues but i firmly believe that my Turp was not carried out in accordance with normal procedures, thats why it was'nt a 100% success. I sincerely hope your condition improves in the very near future.

Good luck, its an easy painless process that takes a few seconds. I passed a bit of blood after removal for a couple of days. I only had mine in for 8 days and i was terrified at first but i have to say it was no real problem, it was quite manageable. Please keep us updated on how things go in the weeks ahead.

But its not seedy there in Soi 6, very quiet ime, but if you want the seediness just walk out the Soi into Soi 4 and bobs your uncle but if you walk the other way out of soi 6 onto sukumvit, its everyday life with the Sky train to get you about. Well thats my story and i'm sticking to it lol

I would recco the Dynasty Grande in Soi 6 Sukumvit, i stay there everytime i visit Bangers and its very handy for the Sky train and Soi 4 and all its delights. Its a great hotel with good rooms for the price, walk in shower and i've never paid more than 2600bht per night.

I asked exactly the same question to my Thai wifey, she replied there is little stigma in Isaan Thailand regarding younger gals hooking up with older guys especially farangs who are well known to look after and respect them irrespective of their previous job. With regards to GF's and wives ''playing the long game'' just how long is the long game ? we've been together for 17 years since marriage and life is wonderful, well for me it is lol and i have no reason to think that wifey feels any different.
