Yes indeed, whats the difference between pot and alcohol/tobacco ? Many Thais are earning a living from pot and now the idiot is going to put a stop to these jobs.
Beggars belief imo.

Barclays to close accounts of all British expats
Expats who bank with Barclays are to be stripped of their accounts in a move that could leave some customers unable to access their savings and pensions.
British people living abroad will no longer be able to hold a Barclays UK current or savings account, the lender said.
The bank began a review of its international offerings in 2021 and is now writing to customers with a six-month warning.
Wealthy expats can open a global account with Barclays, which allows easy online access and currency flexibility, but need to maintain a balance of £100,000 in order to avoid a monthly charge of £40.

Some good news if you have a loan, mortgage or Cash ISA (Not sure about Stock ISA) with them...
Under the latest closures, those with cash ISAs and fixed-rate bonds will be able to keep their accounts unless they live in Estonia, Italy, the Netherlands or Slovakia.
The same rule applies to mortgage and loan holders with the UK wing of the bank. However, existing home loan customers will not be able to remortgage when their term ends.
The ''end is nigh'', i cannot for the life of me understand why UK banks are closing expat accounts. What difference does it make to your account where you live in this day and age with online banking. All they need to do is prevent you from obtaining loans/overdrafts if you're not a UK resident.
I have an account with HSBC and i maintain a healthy balance, what's the problem ?

My experience a few years ago was as soon as i informed the DWP of my Thailand address the HMRC was advised by the DWP of my new Thailand address. It made no difference to my access to the UK Government Gateway which i previously had with my English address.

I had the spray foam done on a section my car port roof some 10 years ago because it was leaking by a Bangkok firm (they advertised in the BP) who traveled to my province. It never solved the problem.......

My first day post catheter removal !
I voided easily all day until 11:00 Pm till 2:am in the morning!
I had the mommies during that time!
I cried for my mother with pain due to extreme pressure in my abdomen and burning in my penis.I almost went to the emergency room!
I called the Dr just now and he said my prostate gland is experiencing inflammation ! So he gave me a script for Celebrex (celecoxib) its a medication that treats mild to moderate pain and inflammation. It treats conditions like arthritis. It’s a type of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug .
After 2am the peeing came every hour with very little discomfort !
Ive read inflammation could last up til 48 hours after catheter removal !
Fingers crossed I don’t experience that night again.
I felt sorry for my wife, she didn’t know what to do!
Sorry to hear that, i had none of those issues but i firmly believe that my Turp was not carried out in accordance with normal procedures, thats why it was'nt a 100% success.
I sincerely hope your condition improves in the very near future.

Going to have my Catheter taken out
tomorrow August 17th!
I’ve endured 9 days of having this device in me !
Good luck, its an easy painless process that takes a few seconds. I passed a bit of blood after removal for a couple of days. I only had mine in for 8 days and i was terrified at first but i have to say it was no real problem, it was quite manageable.
Please keep us updated on how things go in the weeks ahead.

Age is a big factor, people forget that, when older and the women are much younger why would they want a much older farang? well known bar girls play the short game and girlfriends and wives play the long game
I asked exactly the same question to my Thai wifey, she replied there is little stigma in Isaan Thailand regarding younger gals hooking up with older guys especially farangs who are well known to look after and respect them irrespective of their previous job.
With regards to GF's and wives ''playing the long game'' just how long is the long game ? we've been together for 17 years since marriage and life is wonderful, well for me it is lol and i have no reason to think that wifey feels any different.
By the way wifey was 24yo and i 55yo when we met.

I'm far from a hater, in fact one of my favourite songs is Legalize It by Peter Tosh.
Spent months on a Koh Panga beach in 1992 smoking weed and was the main reason I stayed.
That said, I know many who have relapsed from recovery from alcohol addiction by thinking cannabis was harmless. One friend died.
I feel its important to remind people that just because it suddenly, miraculously became legal in Thailand, it can be dangerous for some.
I agree that most smokers will have no serious consequences, apart from eating too many donuts, or antisocial behaviour. Paranoia can also be harmful.
I doubt there are Marijuana Anonymous meetings in Thailand, just as the are no Sex Addicts Anonymous. That doesn't mean they're are no addicts!
I don't smoke ganja as I find it better getting to the root of my problems, rather than use a substance as a crutch, like I did for 20 years since age 14.
I'm not telling anyone anything apart from there is help if wanted. If not wanted, just ignore.
I would seriously question that.......

Switch off >mobile data< on the phone.
Otherwise 1 Baht per minute will drain except you have subscribed for an internet plan.
In July 2022 I topped up my AIS with 500 Baht for some reason and I am still struggling to use it before expiry. Who does phone calls ????
Yes indeed, i have the same problem with DTAC. Do you just lose your credit at expiry and then have to top up again ? I trust you don't lose your tel number as well.

If you use it for a sleeping aid and quit there is a bit of sleeplessness till you get it sorted out.
We are all different in how we respond to not smoking it anymore, i've never had a problem when i've packed it in over the years.

New house builds, preparation is never carried out, then they use the cheapest Emulsion paint they can find, then water that down, if you wipe the painted surface with a damp sponge you will probably find the sponge is the same color as the wall.. Spend some money on a good quality paint, it will look good and it will last a lot longer
I always use Dulux, its not cheap but quality 'anything' never is ime.
