  1. Actually, that’s not strictly true. There are plenty of reports of Ukrainian losses, just not in western msm. Things that go against the western narrative is either discouraged, disallowed or censored whilst every Russian tank taken out is reported as a major victory. That’s why many still think it’s worth continuing the conflict which is the main objective.
  2. As Kremlin has denied such a call took place and the Trump camp has not confirmed it, there is doubt as to whether such a call actually took place. Even if such a call took place, I wonder what Trump means by “escalation”. How is Russia “escalating” the war when it is just continuing to do what it has done the past 3 years? If by continuing military actions means escalation, then Putin obviously doesn’t care about what Trump is alleged to have said. Not a good start for the President-elect.
  3. men work out at the gym, drink beer, shoot guns, chop wood, watch football etc Sounds like your typical knuckle dragger…
  4. EVs suit most people. I average 100 km per day in my EV. My other car hardly get driven except when I need to “use” the petrol to stop it going stale.
  5. How does someone who hasn’t bought an EV realise that they are junk? I can tell you from personal experience that a well made EV is far superior to its ICE counterpart. Better performance and cheaper to maintain and operate. And before you say it, range anxiety exists only in the minds of non EV owners.
  6. Seems like you don’t understand how the system works. Most news outlets get their information from mainly Reuters and/or AFP and then report it in their own media. They do not do their own research or journalism.
  7. Which part of “Russia attacks Estonia” did you not understand? A missile struck an apartment building in Kiev which is in Ukraine, not Estonia. The Estonian ambassador happened to be one of the many residents in this apartment building. If you don’t view the headline as downright wrong, there is nothing much to say.
  8. Looks like western msm is really losing the plot with completely erroneous headlines. They are no longer credible sources in my opinion.
  9. I had the same issue when I visited a rather rural Mooban in the depths of Isaan and the GWM supplied granny charger showed a fault as there was no earth. I quickly got myself one of those aftermarket chargers where you can alter the amps from 6A to 16A. This is invaluable as even charging at 10A can trip the circuit board in certain areas of low electrical power.
  10. The United Kingdom has pledged to reach 2.5 percent of GDP on defense within this decade, marking a substantial increase in its commitment Meanwhile, big employers like Sainsbury’s and M&S will see their operational costs increase by millions due to hikes in NI contributions and minimum wage increases resulting in inevitable job cuts and rise in prices. Way to go. Shows how totally corrupt the western political system is.
  11. Yes, it is blindingly obvious, as you said. However, you need to zoom out and look at the bigger picture. Why did Russia start this SMO? I don’t believe that it’s because they want to have more territory. After all, have you seen a map recently? Are you aware how big a country Russia is in terms of land mass? I have listened to real experts, professors at highly acclaimed western and eastern universities, who have explained how and why NATO’s expansion eastwards is a security threat to Russia and in spite of Russia’s warnings, they (NATO) ignore it and continue to do so. This, in their (the experts) opinion is why Russia is compelled to act. I find their reasons compelling and natural. We see this playing out in Asia as well but fortunately, the Chinese, with their thousands of years of civilisation, will achieve a better result.
  12. I do not know that. But then, neither do you. Duh! (No need to shout).
  13. I think the ones supporting death in Ukraine are those that state publicly that Ukraine should fight to the last Ukrainian. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out who would win a war between Russia and Ukraine.
  14. Lots of foreign soldiers fighting for Ukraine in Ukraine so why the big hoo-ha about NK soldiers in Russia? Rhetorical question.
  15. Kangaroo court. Even a country like Mongolia didn’t pay heed to this so called evidence.
  16. Not to mention Chinese made shovels and washing machines.
  17. This goes show that Putin is not interested in gaining territory, only in de-militarising Ukraine (and NATO as a by product). I wonder what sources you are getting your information from but even approved, credible western sources have been reporting on how Ukraine is facing bigger and bigger challenges in terms of manpower and equipment. You must be getting it from the same sources that tells you Moldova is on his doorstep. Do you not know how to look at a map? So the answer to your question is no, he will not attack Moldova. Whatever for? It’s not a neighbouring country.
  18. You guys forgot China, the real puppet master…
  19. I think you will find, if you don’t constrain yourself to just western msm that the majority around the world sympathises with the Russians. The unipolar rules based international order playbook has run its course and the global majority is veering towards multipolarity as evidenced by the extremely successful recently concluded Kazan Summit which even attracted the Sec Gen of the UN.
  20. With losses of thousands of men and equipment on a daily basis, according to Zelensky, I wonder how Russia seizes more territory over past week than at any point in 2024, Bloomberg reports https://kyivindependent.com/russia-seizes-more-territory-over-past-week-than-at-any-time-in-2024-during-same-period-bloomberg-reports/
  21. I’m sure if the western world can produce the goods locally as affordably as China, they will buy local. Unfortunately, they are unable to and prolonging the conflict with Russia will merely continue to keep energy prices high, making locally produced goods more expensive.
  22. Lol. I didn’t think that anyone is gullible enough to swallow the western propaganda pumped out by the politicians and media but I guess I was wrong. Secret police stations? Indeed. China doesn’t have hegemonic ambitions. Their main interest is to trade as this leads to prosperity and if you know anything of Chinese people and Chinese culture, this is their overriding priority. Threatening free trade is akin to shooting themselves in the foot. I have lived and worked in HKG and China and Singapore and Malaysia and have known many Chinese people from all these countries. Many of my relatives are also married to Chinese people and I’m well assimilated into their society. Like me, they are incredulous at how some westerners can be so gullible and ignorant as to believe what they read in western msm. The west, in particular the US is afraid of China’s growing influence and power. A classic example of falling into Thucydides’ trap. They have been preaching that their “democratic“ ways and “values” are the best and China comes along with a socialist system with Chinese characteristics and this is proving more successful than anything the world has ever seen. The country that engages most in “unconventional warfare” is the US, through its thousands of think tanks, NED, USAID etc. They’ve even specifically budgeted over a billion dollars for this. But carry on believing what you want. Like the Chinese, I don’t impose my views or values on others.
  23. What danger is the EU facing from China? I guess the case can be made with regards to job losses and de-industrialisation and weakening economies.
  24. You are right of course but most on here will refuse to accept this as fact. Cui bono, Nordstream.
  25. Thanks for the laugh. Brightened up what was otherwise a rather overcast morning.
