Ukrainian officials have defended the strike in the wake of the attack, calling Crimea a legitimate target. Mykhailo Podolyak - a top aide to President Volodymyr Zelensky - said the peninsula was in effect "a large military camp" which he said held "hundreds of direct military targets, which the Russians are cynically trying to hide and cover up with their own civilians". Sounds suspiciously like something the IDF would say in killing hundreds of Palestinians. And using cluster bombs? Aren’t these supposedly designed to kill rather than to destroy buildings?

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Gweiloman replied to Bandersnatch's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Yes. And I remember saying that if I owned an US made EV, I would definitely not purchase another one. American consumers are missing out on owning amazing, value for money Chinese made EVs. Maybe the US government is worried that its citizens might realise how far ahead China has leap frogged America in innovation and technology. -

What word/s would you use to describe the above? Enlargement? Encroachment? Growth? Extension? Or maybe reduction or contraction? -
Thailand Refuses To Sign Document Of The Swiss 'Peace' Summit

This conflict wasn’t meant to last as long as it has. Putin had calculated correctly that Zelensky would have capitulated within days and an agreement reached. What he hadn’t calculated on was the war mongering neo-cons in Washington scuppering the deal and the Europeans being so weak as to allow the destruction of their own economies and depletion of their own arms and ammunition to support an unwinnable war. Russia has no choice but to see it to the end as this is perceived by it as an existential threat. -
It’s been 24 hours since the attack on a civilian beach in Sevastopol that killed and injured scores of civilians sunbathing by the beach. Yet, hardly any coverage of this incident in western media nor on here. Those of us who understand and condone Russia’s SMO has been regularly described as disgusting, sickening, despicable etc. Whatever. How would you describe this attack? Glorious? Honourable? For God and country? To Russia with love?

In other words, you can’t come up with a reason other than NATO expansion. Glad you finally saw the truth. -

Care to respond with a mildly intelligent comment instead of the above? -
My prayers to multiple gods for a post with content still haven’t been answered. Maybe gods aren’t real…

He said, she said. Who to believe? What is really the truth? I’m definitely not accepting a Wikipedia article as the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It is but an expression of an opinion, citing references to try to shore up its arguments. Are any of the people involved still alive today? They would know but if they are dead, then they have taken their secrets to the grave. So all we can do is to try and think logically. Why do you think Russia went into Ukraine? Land grab? Ridiculous. To rule over Ukraine? Even more laughable. Stepping stone to invade the rest of Europe? John McEnroe. The most logical, plausible, probable reason that I have come across is to defend itself, from America in particular. The US’s actions around the world is proof of that, in my opinion. America claims to want peace. Yeah, sure, at the end of a barrel. No lasting peace can ever be achieved that way. As we can see with our own eyes, unless you’re propagandised. -
Tik tok about to be banned. DJI drones about to be banned. 100% tariffs on products we are unable to efficiently produce. If you don’t do as we tell you, you will be sanctioned. You are not allowed to sell your products to certain countries. The,police can’t guarantee your safety; after all, we kill 3 of you a day, on average. Welcome to the free world! Errr… thanks but no thanks.

I never really believed it but it seems that the parallel universe theory is real and that somehow, two parallel universes are existing simultaneously on AN. I pinch myself and it hurts so I guess my universe is real, to me at least. In my universe, Ukraine has no chance of winning. All the military mappers that I see on YT shows Russia gaining ground (although that’s not their main objective) consistently and continuously. Those who insists that Ukraine is winning is obviously living in the parallel universe where the Chinese economy has collapsed, Taiwan is a permanent member of the UNSC, XJP is in jail for the genocide of Uyghurs and America sent a man to the moon …

Russian bot, Putin apologist/sympathiser, Kremlin propagandist, paid shill, troll, CCP board member, communist, Red (although to be fair, it’s only one uneducated poster who brandishes this term)…. Looks like we are in good company, together with the likes of prominent individuals such as Jeffrey Sachs, John Mearsheimer, Ted Postel, Lawrence Wilkerson, Gilbert Doctorow etc etc. I wonder why the pro-collective west posters almost inevitably resort to name calling. I guess by labelling some of us, they feel they don’t have to take our points seriously. It’s almost as if they fear truth -
300 years is a blink of an eye, compared to China’s 5,000 years of continuous civilisation. The Uyghur population has been increasing significantly whilst there are hardly any natives left in America. Sadly, they are confined to living in reservations, those ‘savages’. Yet, the former is labelled genocide whilst the latter is considered progress. Strange language, English.

Putin's Warning to South Korea Over Potential Arms Supply to Ukraine
Gweiloman replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The US and NATO has been warning other countries, notably China, not about sending weapons to Russia but components and equipment such as shovels that has dual use. By the same token, I don’t see why Russia can’t send a warning to SK. Not hypocrisy, surely? In any case, as our esteemed experts above has confirmed, these are merely empty threats so there’s nothing to worry about.
