  1. This picture is most likely that of an incentive group. They typically number from 200 to 500, stay for about 3-5 days. They generally stay in 4 star hotels that charges around 2,000 - 3,000 baht per night (group discount. Rack rates are usually double that). During their stay, they benefit a lot of ground service providers such as guides, coach companies, Thai restaurants and of course the main shopping malls as well as lots of other vendors.
  2. Unlike the 2 week millionaires who spend most of their time sitting on barstools nursing 50 baht beers, male Malaysian FITs tend to book out expensive karaoke rooms drinking XO or Royal Salute, sitting with coyote girls that charge 1,000 baht per hour just for company. These girls are not interested in ST unless you are willing to pay 10k per shot. That’s why you won’t see many farangs in these history environments but lots of Asians.
  3. I was taken aback a little by the price of the PHEV. But when I think about it a bit more, it’s actually much more than just a PHEV. The Volvo XC60 recharge, albeit a more luxurious and powerful vehicle, is double the price at Bht 3.4 million. But it only has a NEDC range of 90 kms, less than half that of the H6. And one doesn’t really need the power, especially on Thai roads. That led me to thinking that the H6 is in fact an EV as well with its 34kWh battery, which is more than some pure EVs. Moreover, it has DC charging which the Volvo doesn’t have. So you can actually consider it an EV with an ICE backup engine lol.
  4. Here is an independent review about a Chinese made car from a high mileage user. Not a view about resale, just about reliability. I think you will be unpleasantly surprised about his verdict. P/s: the video title is slightly incorrect as it’s not really about the battery.
  5. DNR = Donetsk Peoples Republic. Not the same as all of Ukraine which is what you tried to imply.
  6. To the best of my knowledge, Putin never made any nuclear threats. That’s just the interpretation of the collective west, which has its own agenda.
  7. And you know that, how? Do you think that a nation like Russia used up 2/3’s of its missiles inventory in a low intensity attack over a period of a few days? Seems highly unlikely to me.
  8. I didn’t include the link because I couldn’t be arsed. I mentioned France24 so it’s not rocket science. Whether or not Russia has used up 2/3’s of its inventory is any body’s guess. I’m not basing my conclusion on what a journalist says. Fact is that drones are cheaper than missiles. A journalist claiming that Russia has used up 2/3 of its inventory is speculation.
  9. Is Russia holding their best stuff in reserve? Neither you nor I know that for a fact, in spite of what analysts think, think being the operative word.
  10. Like I said, AN has strict rules about links and I don’t want to run afoul of them. As to stories being substantiated, links to western funded websites is not my idea of substantiation. It is highly unlikely that any western funded website would post any articles that are not in line with the western narrative.
  11. I believe a lot of the Oz reviews are of the first gen Haval which has a 2l engine which is not available in Thailand. There are also newer reviews of the hybrid model with the 1.5l turbo charged engine which gives better mileage. I have gone for the PHEV but have not received any updates as to the delivery date. It’s promised for no later than end December.
  12. All I know is that if Ukraine runs out of weapons, the war would stop. Right or wrong, not for me to say but it’s the truth. Can’t fight without weapons.
  13. Much as I am a fan of EVs, I can’t fathom a possible need for this lol
  14. Exactly. No one country can dictate to another. Not that it means they won’t try.
  15. Slow working on Russia but incredibly fast working in bringing down the EU lol
  16. Putin is going after valid infrastructure targets such as power plants etc. Unfortunately, there’s some collateral damage as the Americans like to put it. If Putin was indeed targeting civilians, I’m sure the number of dead would be in the hundreds and thousands, not tens.
  17. Sanctions hahaha. Yup, Europe loving the sanctions and begging for more lol. Apart from the collective west, hardly any other country bothers about sanctions anymore. US hegemony is no more, in case you didn’t know.
  18. Since when can the US dictate to Russia as to whether Russia can or cannot purchase weapons from Iran? And what can the US do about it?
  19. By many accounts, the Chips Act will backfire dramatically. It will set China back a few years but will also hurt America’s allies badly. But that is the usual price a nation has to pay for backing the US. More sanctions please… ????
  20. This is the political system that enables such an unqualified person to assume the highest office in the land. If it works for them, fine. I just wish that they stop shoving it down other nations’ throats.
  21. That’s the most accurate post I’ve ever read from you. Well done. Ps: It’s Mandarin.
  22. Will he be charged? Lindsey Graham warned that there would be riots in the streets. So a toss up between rule of law and riots. Tough call.
  23. Does NARA know what documents are missing? Would be worrying if they don’t. But if they do, the Special Master’s job is not significant at all, is it?
  24. When it doesn’t concern you, something that America has always struggled with.
