The death penalty save money only in that the cost of inprisonmnet is lower as he is not there for meals and looking after as long. Personally I have always been a proponent of people that commit these crimes being jailed. With the provision that they are jailed in the Gen pop. That way they really do HARD TIME. Back when coke was sold in a glass bottle only they were a favourite toy for lifers that wanted to enertain themselves with child molestors or Pedophiles.

“Utility Tokens” to be used for “digital wallet” scheme
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
What is a 16 year old girl or boy want with rice or paying a water or utility bill. The girls want make up an clothes the boys want Gundam and high end motorcycle parts. The fact that Thai's who are under massive debt can't use it to pay off loans is rediculous The other thing they are not saying is will this be tax exempt. Anyone remember the buy a new car scheme. -
I go through the same thing time to time. What I do is get out I go to MBK and get a coffee walk around and just look at the people. I also go out with the GF if nothing else having someone to go for a meal with or just a movie is important Go for a masage just get out adn do something I am not a heavy drinker and would not suggest it every day but on friday I usually go to the Game at NANA and sit and watch the people and tv. Anything that gets you out of the house is a good thing.

While computers were supposed to make us smarter they have in fact dumbed down a great deal of society. Also the Baby boomers caused a certain aount of the problem with their desire to give their kids everything they wanted with no responsibility. That just got with with each generation. Society is going down hill and really ther is no way of stopping it. There are not rules or laws anymore just look at the U.S. as an example you kill someone or beat up a person you are out on the street and people talk about how you are mistreated adn not understood. But a person defends themself or is not in the same political belief as you and it is a huge crime and they must go to jail.

Petition submitted against Thaksin seeking Royal pardon
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Thaksin stay out of politics mmmmm That is like asking stoner to give up his weed Just ain't going to happen You realize that if he did the PT would lose all their finaicanl backing. There is no way that his kids or relatives could do anything. Also it would mean that he would become unknown. It is a nice dream but not going to happen. My only question is if he is given a pardon can he run for PM next election? -
Petition submitted against Thaksin seeking Royal pardon
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Not so remarkable. The wealthy need helathy people to do their work. Also if you have gone to a government hospital I can tellyou that it is not fun the waiting rooms are crowded and it takes hours to be seen. It was a good thing but ot that great, It may be a good thing and probably was but it still has to be compbned with everything else he did that was not good and the deals that he made. -
Petition submitted against Thaksin seeking Royal pardon
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The question is how many promises are they going to keep. Higher minimum wage. Also what effect does it have on employment and cost of living 20k minimum for every student with a degree 10k wallet to everyone over 16 Welfare for the elderly changes to the military referendum on constitution quality of Life for most Thais. Marijuana legislation 20 baht BTS MRT I think there were so many promises made that it is going to be very hard to keep a lot of their non-diehard supporters from changing. Rest assured that MFP will be there with the report card. As well I think as people protesting int he streets. -
Petition submitted against Thaksin seeking Royal pardon
kingstonkid replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I really think the next election is going to be very interesting. It could be the end of a lot of the parties PT is going to get creamed for not keeping their promises and for siding with he military just to bring Thaksin Who is going to be a dead weight for everyone hime. Dems are going to get hit with the disorganization and the fact that 16 of their members sided with the military and PT., as well as not objecting to the way Thaksin is being feted as the returning hero. PPRP and UTN are going to hurt because they brought Thaksin back as well as their desire to have the Senate act in their best interestes and not the country MFP while staying true to their promises have said and done nothing about Thaksin not sure that is the best move unless part of their agreement with PT Coalitoin was to bring him back. Also this idea of I did not win so I am not going to play attitude to being the opposition is going to hurt them with a few people. They need to be opposition so that they can learn to govern. -
Pheu Thai’s challenge to reduce electric train fares to 20 baht max
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
They also will have to increase the number and size of trains. Lowering the cost will just mean that trains will be over packed. Imagine what victory monument will look like or siam paragon and they are already overcrowded -

Doctor Reveals Concerning Symptoms in Thaksin's Condition
kingstonkid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Definitely there were a lot of deals made. The sole purpose has always been to get him back. PT found the one weapon they could use to get him backand that was MFP. PT could have stayed in support of MFP and let the BJT try to form a governement. It would not have been pretty OR PT could form a government that supported the military desires and gave them their power back as long as the military promised to hold their nose and allow Thaksin back in the country under the promise that he would not do any jail time, Would be first in hospital and then moved to House arrest eventually. "was ut rather at the urgent behest of the Royal Medical Services" Considerng that Tony was not in Thailand what Royal Medical servces are they talking about? -
