  1. "A tank top on a woman is often viewed the same as a t-shirt on a man." There is nothing wrong with a man on a plane wearing a tea shirt, but full length hairy arms brushing up against you on the arm rest????
  2. That sure was something, but I don't think that would happen in Pakistan or any country all the time, they probably got word of a big consignment of drugs then.
  3. I am on about the two security checks, liquids. anything sharp etc being exactly the same.
  4. There are actually 20 posters here who would not mind a mans bare flesh possibly touching them at times on a 6 hour flight. Unless of course, well you know......
  5. Here is another of my experiences. Two days before I flew back to Bangkok I went to the Emirates desk at Glasgow airport. I told the lady about having to go through the security two times and was frightened I may miss my plane and there was only one and a half hours layover in Dubai. She said to me to ask for wheelchair assistance when I check in and they would arrange to meet me at the plane in Dubai. I told her I was perfectly fit and could walk for miles, she told me it doesn't matter, so that is what I did. At Dubai I was wheeled from one plane on to security and then the train, the straight through and on to the plane. Great service. I was going to put this on the forum but there are far too many <deleted> among the posters and knowing myself, I would just retaliate and get banned. So from now on it's Emirates for me.
  6. I was traveling from Bangkok to Glasgow return changing at Dubai.
  7. Yes one hour on the return flight, three hours on the outward flight.
  8. Emirates. The checkouts were twice in three hours. Why do it twice going one way and then only once on the return flight?
  9. Yes, but they are doing two separate things, I was talking about doing the same exact check twice.
  10. No! Not the same security, a different one nearer to where I get my plane. I ask again, do any any country's in the world carry on like this?
  11. You should not have to go through this security rigmarole twice within an hour in the same airport using the same airline. Do any other airports in the world carry on like this?
  12. I recently took a taxi from Bangkok to Pattaya. The first one wanted 2000Bt, the second one 1800Bt. I then got one at the correct price of 1200Bt. We travelled in silence all the way as the driver could not speak English. My case, backpack and small cabin case in the back of the taxi, it then pulled up at my hotel. I tried to open the door to get out and the driver shouted loudly at me "MONEY" which I had to pay before I could get out. What sort of mentality was this? Did he actually think I was going to run away without paying leaving all my stuff in the car?
  13. Thanks. I would in this case have mentioned the nationality no matter what it was.
  14. Maybe, but there is common sense.
  15. That is one thing I would never do, but I am not going to complain about any nice young girl touching me.
  16. On flights they should be.
  17. I don't know what is the worst an overweight person trying to take a share of my seat "which has never happened to me" or some guys bare skin against mine.
  18. Not shorts. But as a normal guy I am not about to complain about a girls bare arms or legs touching my skin.
  19. Looks like we have another left footer here.
  20. You are the one who is a loser. I don't care what colour a mans skin is and I was referring to on a plane for a six hour flight not a coach. If you are happy to sit with a mans hairy arms and legs against you, it just shows what foot you kick with, now run along.
  21. Yes, yesterday.
  22. Yes trains but I'm sure it used to be buses. If it is safety first, then why not on the return flight?
  23. I would not bother if they were, but I would certainly not like a man's full length hairy arms or legs right next to me for five mins never mind six hours.
  24. Probably yes, but I would not want to take the chance of hitting a large traffic jam or risk the driver taking a longer route. Don't forget, we are talking about Bangkok taxi drivers here.
  25. Arriving at Dubai airport I went through the normal security check, then boarded the bus to go to another part of the airport, then had to go through all the rigmarole again for a second time for my plane to Glasgow. Why two security checks at the same airport? I only had to do one on my return flight to Bangkok. Anyone else ever experienced this?
