There were two good buffets for the Cheap Charlies, the evening buffets at the Lex Hotel and the breakfast buffets at the hotel farther down the road on the opposite side, but this is in Pattaya. They never opened again since the Chinese Virus.

A few years ago at LHR I saw an unattended suitcase sitting at the side of a passageway, I got hold of a security man and pointed it out to him, he just said it belonged to someone sitting a few seats in with some other people at the other side of the passageway. If I had a suitcase anywhere I would want it sitting beside me.

I will never take my shoes off to enter an ordinary shop no matter what signs are on the door. I usually wear ordinary sandals so it means that I have to sit on the sidewalk to take them off and again to put them back on. If there was a seat to sit on then yes, I would.

I have been using Temu quite a bit recently, though not on the app, on my desktop, but they have put a stop to that now, they would not let me make payment until I could do some sort of quiz that I cannot complete. i am finished with them now and still waiting for Items ordered about a month ago. Another thing, don't buy anything from them with a zip on it, the quality is awful.

If I don't agree with anyone's rules and regulations I will break them if I can find a way around it.

I am referring to personal experience, you will get aggressive and confrontational people in any country. I do not and never have drunk alcohol and have always just minded my own business, though as I pointed out in a previous post, I will never allow queue jumping in front of me.

In 20 years of living in Thailand, including lots of time in Bangkok and Pattaya, no Thai has ever provoked or threatened me. In saying that lots of them have tried to jump queues in front of me, both male and female and I approached them in a normal way, told them and pointed to the back of the queue, and every time bar none they have done so. Apart from their road behaviour, I have found the average Thai to be decent, honest and non confrontational.

There used to be a few tourist police around that area. I have read about a few skirmishes there lately but never a mention of tourist police. Where are they now?

Yes, I get you. But round about that time and even up till the late nineties when I was in my prime I never remember any girls who liked men with facial hair. Different today obviously.

I understand getting these saddo emo's as facial hair is so fashionable just now. I remember when I was a young guy, short hair was fashionable on girls. (lezzie style. Sheena Easton) I did not have so much a choice then as I always preferred girls with long hair.

This is actually a good post, though the police have now confirmed he was well over the limit. If it had been a heart attack would the crowd not have noticed him just lying in his seat.

Who is going to pay the hospital costs of all these injured people? The drunken scumbag who caused it? Why do I doubt that in this country?

He was driving drunk and then bailed?? Really?? After injuring all these people?? That is just plain ridiculous. Though not really surprising in this Banana Republic of Thailand.

I hope we get to find out what the result of the investigation is.

I agree with that where Thai people are concerned but not these dangerous drunken water throwing farangs particularly in Pattaya, especially assaulting motorbike riders with these water guns and throwing water from pails at them.

What I meant was you are doing two journeys, one from Bangkok to Dubai and one from Dubai to the UK which means that you are paying for two seats where if you were flying direct from Bangkok to the UK you would pay about the same for one seat as two.

I have made my point clear so this debate is now over so the best thing you can do now is just run along.

That's exactly what I'm saying, but beat them up is not the term I would use, a squirt of water is nothing, but soaking someone who is not participating or going about their business is just pure assault especially with ice in the water, or the water being dirty as it sometimes is. So grow up and behave yourself.
