  1. See what I mean when I said he hasn't got the brains to cover anything up, why did he say he trusted the court. Surely he should have kept his mouth shut.
  2. My endorsement then is the same as it is now. No country in the world should ever have a government who is not voted in by the majority of the country's population.
  3. Wrong figures. 99% ????
  4. The only reason they will be impossible to remove is because they have the soldiers, tanks and guns.
  5. The ordinary Thai people voted for these soldiers????
  6. "Meanwhile , Prawit seen walking angrily around government house muttering to himself." Except when he is sleeping. ????
  7. I do not know much about Taksin Shinawatra when he was PM, I do know about his reputation regarding corruption, and how popular he was with the poor up in Isaan, but I would say he sure knew what he was doing as the Thai PM who was elected in a general election by the Thai people. Prayut being an "unelected" PM was like picking the first Somchai off the street and giving him the Job. He proved time and time again that he did not know what he was doing, given that he was educated at a Military Academy. Their IQ's would probably have been similar.
  8. I remember a few times in my younger days when I queued in a restaurant for my food then couldn't find an empty table, so I sat down on a seat at another table to be told by someone else there that I was taking someone's seat. I just replied "yes and that someone is behind me in the queue". No one ever argued.
  9. OK sorry. Energy Companies. Oh! Wait?? Is that not a lot of companies? ????
  10. Capitalism is the scourge of this world, and that human greed is why 85% of the world live in poverty. The electricity and gas industry in the UK is only one example of that.
  11. Fine, we will just agree to disagree and leave it there.
  12. So they would be better just sitting in their car or office waiting for a call instead of being on the beat and ready for any action, and making people feel safer. They have their radio's and are in contact with their office, who in turn are in contact with other officers on the beat or patrolling in their cars. There is a place for having both officers on the beat and in their cars.
  13. They soon will be if they want to keep warm this winter.
  14. Beat patrol police?? When was the was time there actually were beat patrol police in the UK?
  15. and which senior politician hasn't?
  16. One of my teaching colleagues was 73.
  17. Do brown envelopes have dates on them?
  18. What about the rest of his soldiers and their guns and tanks? The constitutional Court won't be able to live with that.
  19. That's true, but there are lots of posters who cannot afford insurance. Assuming you live here, and you pay insurance and never have to claim, then you get older and your premiums increase or are stopped altogether. That sort of behaviour only makes expats want to self insure. There are three groups I would not trust, and not just in Thailand, that is, the medical profession, banks and insurance companies.
  20. I am referring to tourists who come in the short term, not people who live here. I agree completely with everything you have said.
  21. "fund his retirement"?? His offshore accounts could probably fund a dozen retirements.
  22. "Maintain the compulsory travel insurance and have done with it." That would be okay if it only applied to tourists and only tourists, not people with re entry permits etc.
  23. Are you calling a bunch of unelected tinpot soldiers a government. They are nothing more than a tribute act trying to be the real thing.
  24. Why should the unelected soldiers bother about tourism? There income stream and offshore accounts will be doing very well anyway.
  25. A song for you.
