I take your point in most of what you say. Your last question, the Philippines, they have some fair immigration policies, and we would not have to worry about an unelected clown of a PM backed up by a bunch of tinpot soldiers.

The hospitals charging extortionate fees for PCRs etc are just as bad as they are using a world pandemic to line their own pockets at the expense of the ordinary people.

That would be the case when I first came to live in Thailand about 15 years ago, but things have gone right downhill for both expats and tourists since the country was stolen by an unelected PM and his soldiers. It would be a big mistake for anyone to come to Thailand now to retire.

What about some ordinary Highways where all bikes are also banned? ie the Highway on both sides of Don Muang Airport. I always use it when I ride to Bangkok an my Forza as I don't agree with that rule, though having been stopped only once, I have 300Bt in my pocket just in case.

Yes, and being able to travel long distances in comfort ( This applies to me although my Forza is not exactly a big bike) there is also being able to avoid the long traffic queues at traffic lights.

I don't live in a city, just a Village/ small town. I have never heard my wife mention any headman even after 15 years here. But I take on board what you have said.

Poor education, low mentality and little common sense. People voted into an authority with no qualifications for their job. This is Thailand. The same applies to the military ruled government, except that they were not voted in.

It seems to me that village/town headmen probably have even less of the mentality of even the unelected PM and most of his soldiers who are making a right mess of trying to run the country. Some maybe not even finishing High School. Brown envelopes rule. This is Thailand.

Looks like this is just another Thai going on a power trip. Just like other Thai traits like making unnecessary noise and wearing uniforms. Just what authority does this headman or whatever he is, have over the OP? Would he actually have the power to call the cops and demand that they tell the OP to do what he says? I have already tried this on this topic, maybe I did not word it very well, so can I start again? I have had smartphones for years, but never used it to send or receive emails, I have now fixed it to do just that. I have deleted many emails but my trash folder stays empty, I have even sent emails and the sent folder also remains empty. These deleted emails must be going somewhere and piling up on my phone. where are they going? One poster gave me a reply which I thought would be the answer, he said click on "on board" app at top of left hand screen for accessing Hotmail. I cannot find an "on board" app at all, but clicked on the only app there which was a google app, some answers came up but they are not helping. I am the only farang here, and the guy in the local computer shop cannot speak any English at all. so even that's out. Can someone please help me here?

That was not the situation here, I accompanied the one on the settlement visa to the hospital for a very minor thing and also went with a friend to pick up the one here for a three week holiday at the airport and we discussed these things.

I wonder if, in the future, this present unelected PM will ever be held for trial over the many indescripences he is responsible for, ie the situation regarding the vaccines, the spread of the Cvirus and unnecessary deaths caused by his incompetence etc.
